Pleasant stay in Gibraltar

Conveniently located with parking on-site. Assistance was available during our stay as needed. Great views. Would have liked to be shown the a/c remote controls and would have liked the shower gel to be left out as we felt uncomfortable looking in cabinets, but other than that - a great stay. Tea, coffee, milk, etc very nice welcome pack. Highly recommend with good restaurants onsite and a 5 min walk away in the Old Town.

Great views

Very nice clean property with great views over the harbour and the Spanish hills. Location was just right for us, and nearby bars and restaurant are nice too, we would stay again.

Fab holiday - again!

Had another great holiday in Gibraltar. First time in this apartment and really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the air and sea traffic as well as the nightlife in Ocean Village.

The short walk to Casemates is ideal.

Will be back next year!

The apartment was exactly as described, very modern and comfortable and clean a pleasure to stay in

Having never booked a holiday before through owners direct i was very pleased with the whole experience, thanks must go to Gill for her excellent communication and thanks to Suzanne who met us at Ocean Villa and showed us around the apartments.

The apartment was fantastic with three large double rooms all very clean and all with air conditioning, in the very modern Ocean Villa complex, everything was provided for and i get the feeling nothing would be too much trouble for Suzanne to make our stay comfortable.

For us though the best bit was relaxing out on the balcony with a drink looking out across the harbour ( a good view from nearly the top of the building ) and watching the air traffic coming and going on the runway.

Ocean Villa is a great place place to stay with lots of places to eat and drink, a selection of shops and other activities including the dolphin tours and scuba diving.

One bonus of staying at the apartment was access to the many pools and jacuzzis which we used every day and its worth noting that Casemates square and the bus station are just across the road less than two minutes walk.

All in all we had possibly one of the best holidays we have ever had, we were all saddened to have to leave after our ten day stay, Gibraltar really does have an amazing effect on you and we can't wait to return and when we do we will be looking to book the same apartment from Gill and Suzanne as i doubt anywhere else would do, i heartily recommend this apartment to anyone.

Superb location

The apartment is in an excellent location with easy access to many restaurants in the Marina and also really close to the main shopping street and yet more restaurants. No need to hire a car if you are just staying in Gibraltar as most things are walkable and if not then the bus station is a 2 minute walk or you can call a cab.

The property offers amazing views of the marina and out to sea and benefits from a lovely balcony. The access to the extensive pool area is a real benefit, although it is a 2 minute walk from the apartment it is very private and there were plenty of sunbeds available. There appeared to be a bar in the pool area, but this was not open on our visit but there was a small convenience shop a 2 minute walk away so easy to get drinks and ice creams.

The apartment was well presented with three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. the linen and towels were all provided and the air conditioning system was excellent and very efficient. Everything that you might need in the kitchen was provided, should you want to cook. And there were some larder items that were available to be used which was handy and a small welcome pack of essentials.

There were only two things that I would have to mention - why are there only 4 dining chairs, when the apartment clearly sleeps 6 people. The provision of a couple of stools would so easily remedy this problem. Also there is a lovely set of patio furniture on the balcony but no cushions. Without the cushions the seating is extremely uncomfortable.

Gibraltar is an amazing place to visit with so many things to do, or so little to do depending on what you want from a holiday. I would definately visit again and would consider staying at this apartment again.

My only reservation would be the lack of contact before arriving in Gibraltar. To be fair I have not used Homeaway to make a booking before but I assumed that I would get an email with joining instructions for the property. In fact I found myself phoning to establish that the property did actually exist and what to do when my party arrived. Things did work out in the end but the uncertainty right up until the last minute did spoil my anticipation of the trip.
