'...our 10 year old son described the house as 'brilliant'!...'
Great town house . Modern , well equipped with excellent quality furnishings . Great spot perfect for walks to the beach and easy access to shops and restaurants. Would be very happy to return . Owners extremely helpful also .
Great townhouse over three floors. Two comfortable bedrooms and bathroom on ground floor and access to quiet back garden. Middle floor had well equipped modern kitchen and comfortable living and dining area. Upstairs was another bedroom with en suite bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy.
The house is located near Crooklets Beach which is a great location so no need for driving and parking to visit Bude and the local beaches. Crooklets Beach is great for little ones with a nice little cafe and playpark for little ones.
Bude is a ten minute walk away and can be reached by the seaside path.
Local shops and takeaways are within easy reach as is Bude Golf club.
The house was well equipped (excellent wifi, DVD player, PlayStation) and spotlessly clean when we arrived. The house also had lots of beach toys for use (body boards, fishing nets, bucket and spades) which was great to use through the week.
Definitely look to return next year and overall a really great location for a trip to Bude.
The surrounding countryside to Bude is amongst some of the most picturesque in Cornwall with much of the coastline around Bude designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, whilst the famous Bude Canal is an extraordinary engineering feat of the early 19th century, with an awesome cafe at the end to enjoy a well-deserved coffee, after a stroll along the canal.
With the North Cornwall coast providing some of the finest surfing in the country, Bude and many of its surrounding beaches are popular all year round. These beautiful sandy beaches provide the perfect setting to relax and unwind with friends and family; with most having lifeguard cover over the summer months.
There are eight beaches in and around Bude, including Widemouth bay which has over 2 miles of sandy beach at low tide and is the perfect beach for rock pooling. Crooklets Beach, our local beach, is called the 'Bondi of Britain' and provides ideal conditions for surfers with regular surf and life-saving demonstrations throughout the year. Summerleaze, a 10 minute walk from the property is another beautiful beach with a great cafe overlooking it, which is well worth a visit. Northcott is another beach which is 10 minutes walk from the property. It is secluded spot where you can enjoy some peace and quiet.
Bude town and attractions
Bude has a selection of unique independent shops, a large supermarket, tennis courts, crazy golf, an 18 hole golf course and a modern indoor heated swimming pool.
There are also many other recreational activities available throughout the area including climbing, abseiling, coastal traversing, coasteering, windsurfing, kayaking canoeing and orienteering
A must for any visit to the North Coast is enjoying walking on part of the South West Coast path. The dramatic and ever-changing coastline provides some spectacular scenery and breathtaking views.
