Dina is a spacious, air-conditioned apartment in front of the beach! It is located 20 metres from the sea. The kitchen is nicely equipped, enough to prepare any variety of meals. The spacious lounge opens out into the a private terrace ideal for al fresco dinning. The lounge equipped with air-conditioning and a double sofa accommodates two adults with ease. The apartment is fully equipped with all that you would need on a holiday with family and friends up to 4 adults.

Kaminaki traditional village has two tavernas and a well kept single beach. You can hire a sun lounger and spend the day on the beach or a motor boat to go around the numerous bays of the North East of Corfu. A nearby footpath takes you to the beach of Krouzeri, just 300 metres away, with extra restaurants, tavernas and water-sport activities. Dina is ideal for a relaxing and comfortable family holiday.

A little gem!

We have stayed in Kaminaki over several years now and have watched it develop but not lose its charm and identity as a typical Greek village. Although I expect it is much quieter in the winter time when the holiday makers have gone home, the locals get their beach back and life gets back to 'normal'.We have stayed at several properties over the years, some up the hill, others a bit nearer the beach and this year almost on the beach! A great little apartment for 2, and is big enough to accommodate a child on the bed settee in the lounge. It consists of a decent sized bedroom with a large comfortable bed. A small bathroom, with a really good shower, the best we've ever had! The kitchen area is small but boasts a full sized oven with glass topped hob, perfect if you want to eat in. There is a full sized fridge freezer, perfect for keeping drinks cold!!The lounge is a decent size with a bed settee , two arm chairs and a small table and chairs for eating indoors if you want to. There is also a washing machine in a cupboard on the patio, a real bonus.However the 'icing on the cake' is the patio area which has a table chairs for outside dining, and 3 sun beds if you prefer to have more shade and a little less heat than the beach provides. However it a few seconds walk into the sea to cool down so you have the best of both worlds.The patio has changed slightly this year, the entrance to the property has moved from the side to the front overlooking the beach, a good view of the sea but people walking past can see right into the house. The railings which were a feature and also afforded privacy without detracting from the view have also gone which makes it more 'open'. If there is a young child staying in the apartment the entrance to the patio would have to be blocked off, because it leads right onto a car and scooter turning area which could be a hazard for young children.It is perfect for the beach, and the taverna, but is also very quiet, surprising as it is right next to the road. Car parking maybe a bit of a problem during the high season, as more people have found this village and you really need a car to negotiate the hill, which is very steep.There is activity on the beach with Dimitris' boat watersports business, very popular with returning clientele. Also you can take the coastal path to the next beach, Krouseri, where you'll find a couple of tavernas and the Sensimar Hotel at the far end. Otherwise it's head for the beach, hire sunbeds a brolly from George, have a welcome drink and meal from Spiros taverna, and a welcome cooling off in the crystal clear water. ENJOY

Amazing location right by the beach, huge terrace with a terrific view

The location was great, spent lots of time out on the terrace with the beach just a few steps away. Kaminaki is reached via a very steep road so a car is essential, also as there are no shops in Kaminaki, you need to get up to the main road. There are 2 good tavernas in Kaminaki plus 2 others in the next bay which you walk to on a coastal path leading from the beach (about 10 minutes stroll). The apartment is well equipped with everything you need, although better for 2 people rather than a family. The shower room (with toilet and washbasin) is quite small. We loved our holiday here, Kaminaki is perfect for those who want a relaxing holiday.

Idyllic location, property a little tired

The location of the apartment is mostly what you're paying for.

The ground floor 1 bed apartment has a very long sun terrace that basks in the sun from early until approx 19:00 in the summer months.

There is an outside bbq and dining area and additional space for 2 or 3 to laze in the sun with spectacular views over the bay, just metres from your doorstep.

The interior is somewhat tired though, the bathroom, while having modern fittings is still somewhat basic and exceptionally small with a sliding door next to the kitchen.

The kitchen also is small and a galley style meaning anyone preparing food has to leave the kitchen area for anyone to pass them to get to the bathroom.

The living area does benefit from aircon which is a bonus, although it doesn't extend to the bedroom where it would have been more useful.

In general the lighting in the property was poor and insufficient.

Given the standard of the other properties in the area an overall upgrade would be of benefit.

An up to date info pack would have been of benefit, detailing that:

the local supermarket does deliveries, there is a water taxi to a taverna a few bays along, a good bus service operates from the top of the (very steep) road

This place is all about the terrace, which is utterly fabulous, and the location right on the beach. We lived on the deck and just loved it there. We struggled with the mildew in the bedroom, with the smell permeating throughout, and the damp, musty feeling generally of the apartment. The host was very helpful and responsive to our concerns.

Thanhs for your efforts to respond to the mould issue. We really appreciated your responsiveness.

Balcony is sensational. Mildew really makes the inside unbearable though.

...did more than supposed to 9.5/10. Would stay again!

Great place, good communication. They were very concerned about our stay and if we need anything at all. They gave us an enormous guide of the Island and general Info. Possibility of car hire was there. Never Met Them in person though since its a travel agency. Exceptional Maid Service, very clean, did more than supposed to 9.5/10 would stay again

Location

Car: recommended

Kaminaki is a tiny little village in Corfu's North-East coast: a real unspoilt treasure. Kaminaki has 2 tavernas, little houses, unique scenery. The beach with fine shingle and deep blue water is one of the most beautiful of the island, perfect for swimming and snorkeling. There are also umbrellas and sun beds for hire. For the most adventurous there are also boats for hire or water sports by the jetty.
