This wonderful modern apartment is part of a chalet constructed in the traditional style. In contrast to many other towns in the area, La Chapelle-d'Abondance is not cluttered up with large apartment complexes but rather has managed to preserve its traditional Alpine character by building smaller-scale apartment chalets. And it makes a perfect base for exploring the area in any season. When it comes to winter, this area needs little introduction; the closest ski run is just 300 metres away. Once you have spent a few days on those slopes you can try out the variety of other nearby ski areas, taking advantage of the mountainous location. When summer comes and the snow has melted you will find green Alpine meadows inviting you to experience some wonderful hiking. Beautiful and famous Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) is a short drive away, with destinations such as Thonon-les-Bains, Evian-les-Bains and even Montreux in Switzerland, since the border is just a stone's throw away. Chamonix is a bit farther but its view of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe, is worth the trip in itself.

Het appartement lag op de bovenste verdieping van het huis en had een mooi uitzicht op de piste.

Inrichting was compleet, er was veel kinderspeelgoed en wat spelletjes aanwezig. Keuken voorzien van oven, Senseo etc.

Badkamers waren wat klein, maar prima.

In de kinderkamer was een (volgens onze kinderen) een heel cool stapelbed met 3 verdiepingen, hier kunnen 4 kinderen slapen.

Wat op de foto's niet goed te zien is is het grote balkon met de hele dag zon! Heerlijk van genoten!

Ligging tov piste is top. De skishop zit op 50 m afstand, 100 m verderop is de lift en verzamelplaats van skilessen.

Op loopafstand een bakkertje en op 5 min met de auto een grote intermarche. In dorpje aantal leuke restaurantjes (allemaal op loopafstand).

Voor zowel skiërs als niet-skiërs een heel fijn verblijf. Het skigebied in Chapelle is vrij klein, met jonge kinderen prima, Op 5-10 km afstand is er mogelijkheid om in Portes du Soleil te gaan skiën.

Een mooi/ruim appartement (paar kleine verbeterpuntjes) dicht bij de skipiste. Zeer geschikt voor gezinnen met kinderen (veel speelgoed in het huis aanwezig).

Nous avons passé, malgré la météo capricieuse, une excellente semaine entre amis , 2 familles (parents + 1 enfant 6ans et parents + 2 enfants 10 et 14 ans) rassemblées dans un appartement de 8 personnes. L'appartement était très spacieux, bien équipé et confortable. Il manquait peut-être un sèche linge sinon tout était très bien. Les pistes sont à 500 m, le centre du village à quelques minutes à pied. A recommander donc! Ne vous y trompez pas avec la photo, il y a d'autre batiments similaires à côté de la Dranse. Ils ont fort espacés les uns des autres. Il ne bloquaient pas notre vue car nous étions au dernier étage je ne sais pas ce qu'il en est pour les autres niveaux.
