Description

Photos and Description of this 10 bedroom holiday villa in Arbury - Victorian Hall

Newly refurbished, traditional Victorian villa, sleeps up to 34 guests

Reach Hall is a beautifully refurbished, three-storey Victorian villa that combines period features with modern convenience. Located in the historic city of Cambridge, Reach Hall sits opposite the River Cam and Jesus Green and is just a short walk from the city centre.

As a large, self-catering property, Reach Hall is perfect for large groups of family, friends or colleagues. It is a great choice of accommodation whether as part of a UK trip, as a work retreat or as a base for those who are in Cambridge on business, looking for more independence during their stay, in a homely environment.

Reach Hall is spacious and extremely flexible, offering up to 10 bedrooms (one of which can alternatively be used as a living room) and able to accommodate up to 34 people.

All bedrooms are newly refurbished though they retain plenty of period features. Each bedroom is suitable for single or double occupancy, and many of the rooms can accommodate up to four people. All bedrooms include clothes storage and shelving. Eight of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a sink, toilet and shower cubicle. All the basics are provided for the kitchen and bathroom – towels, cutlery, crockery, pots & pans etc.

Wifi is available throughout the property, and there is a large fully furnished kitchen and dining area.

THE PRICE SHOWN ON THE WEBSITE INCLUDES THE HOUSE AND UP TO 20 GUESTS FOR ONE NIGHT. There is an additional charge of £60 for additional guest up to 34 people (per weekend).

Additional Guests (21 guests+): You can add any number of additional guests (up to 34 guests in total at the property) up to 7 days before your arrival. You can only reduce the number of additional guests in your original booking by a maximum of two guests, and this can be done up to 7 days before your arrival. All amendments and additions must be requested in writing.

We do not accept ‘stag do’ groups.

Please also note that all bookings are subject to a late check-out fee of £100 where applicable.

Guest Access

There is no parking on site at the moment. There are parking bays on the main road (pay and display 50p per 30 min) and parking spaces in the pub car park just across the road (pay and display but with much better rates- £12 per day). The good thing about parking in the pub car park is that "Customers using the pub are entitled to a maximum £2 refund on their parking voucher, subject to a minimum spend."

Interaction with Guests

Guests will be met at the beginning of their stay and when they check out. Guests are free to get in touch at any point during their stay, and I'll do my best to help.

Highly recommendable for the most pleasures stay

  • 5 of 5

I can only talk in superlatives for the experience we had in this beautiful Victorian villa. The house looks exactly as on the photos, the majority of bedrooms have their own bathrooms, all rooms are in exquisite shape and very very clean and you definitely feel like spending time inside. The location is perfect, beautiful surroundings and facing the river Cam and the park, in walking distance from the center. The owner was extremely lovely to us, she explained and showed us everything and was always near the phone if we had a question. She even gave us a welcome gift, such a nice gesture! We were so pleased with the stay that we already booked it again for the next year! We are a big group of 40 people making annual trips to the Cambridge and we can only speak highly about the Villa. Looking forward to be there again next year!

Great house, perfect location, extremely helpful host!

  • 4 of 5

I recently booked Victoria Hall for my friends hen do. There were 20 of us but the house had ample of room to accommodate more (so many hidden beds!). Practically every room has it's own bathroom too which was fabulous, especially when you are a group pf 20 girls! The only thing I would say is that the communal space isn't huge, so if you did have more than 20 people, it would be a squeeze if dining in. We did also visit on an unusually hot weekend so the rooms were very warm. A recommendation for Victoria Hall would be to supply some kind of fans in the summer months.

The property was maintained to a high standard with all of the bits and pieces you often don't thing about! hand soap, toilet rolls, bin bags etc etc. It is also located in a perfect location. Overlooking the River Cam and a short walk into the city centre. Cambridge is absolutely beautiful, I highly recommend a punting trip to see the city! You don't need a car when staying here, however we did take cars and we parked across the road at The Boathouse pub. It is literally opposite the house and only costs £12 for 24 hours. I would also recommend this pub for a drink too, lovely seating located on the river.

Our host at Victoria Hall was a lady called Dominika. I have to say she was one of the nicest and most helpful people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Any questions I had in the lead up to the booking were answered quickly and efficiently. When we arrived Dominika was there to welcome us and took us through absolutely everything. Well felt completely at ease immediately and knew there would be no issues during our stay. On departure Dominika waved us off and was very accommodating when one of our cars wouldn't start!

A huge thank you for having us, we really did enjoy our stay and hope to return again!

A fantastic house in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

This review applies to a large school group of teenagers who stayed in Reach Hall for a four day residential trip.

Reach Hall is in a fantastic location - about 15 minutes walk from Cambridge town center; Jesus Green is just across the road and offers a great opportunity for children to sit and relax or have a kick about.

The hall itself has been excellently maintained. All but two of the rooms are en-suite (which made organising a large group m,uch easier in the morning), and the dining and kitchen spaces are big enough for communal dining and cooking. All of the rooms are very well presented.

Dominika, who was our main point of contact, was very helpful with our booking and also recommended different activities for our time in Cambridge. The other staff who we had contact with were also friendly and attentive.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience for the students and staff members on the trip - and Reach Hall was a great place to discover Cambridge from.

Loved the property was so lovely to have the whole hen party under one roof!

  • 5 of 5

Everyone loved the Victorian features of the house. It was very central to everything we needed and the views over the river cam were beautiful.

The house was clean and was very accomodating of them to extend our check out free of charge if we removed all the bedding for them. Helped the hen party gain afew extra hours sleep. (Which were needed)

Having the extra keys really helped with the dinamics of the group. So it was possible for people to get back in at different times as an when they needed. And the space was perfect for the amount of people we wanted and the plans we had.

Kitchen was big enough to cook for a large group and the dining table was of perfect size for eveyone to sit down and enjoy a nice meal together.

Overall I would highly recommend reach hall as perfect accommodation for a large group of people!

And Cambridge is such a beautiful city!

Thank you for making our stay a rememberal one

Reach Hall is a fanastic venue for a residential

  • 5 of 5

Everything at Reach Hall was really well thought out and well presented. We had a fantastic time staying at Reach Hall with 14 young people and 5 staff. The young people really valued the homely quality and luxurious and comfortable beds, the linen was wonderful. The cooking facilities were great, a treat to banquet together at such a large table. The whole space was very adaptable to our needs, we made the front room into a group learning space with chairs that Reach Hall provided with no fuss. Thank you so much for such a brilliant residential space.

Car: not necessary

Located just opposite Jesus Green, Reach Hall is a lovely 10 minute walk by the River Cam into the city centre. Cambridge itself is famed for its University and the colleges that are its embodiment. No visit is complete without a peek at the stunning chapel at King’s College, and there are museums, shops, theatres, cinemas, cafés & restaurants aplenty!

Further afield, you’ll find the beautiful village of Grantchester made famous by poets Lord Byron and Rupert Brooke (within walking distance from the city and ideal for a cream tea in The Orchard Tea Garden!) And if you feel the urge for a trip to the capital (or need to attend a meeting), direct trains run every half an hour to London and will have you there in 45 minutes.

We love Cambridge, and we’re sure you will too – we’re always happy to provide you with information about the local area, and our house manual contains lots of useful information so that you can make the most out of your stay at Reach Hall.
