A great value Villa set in a stunning location near the village of Comares

This is a gorgeous villa built with the passion, style and the influence of it's Andalusia owners.

The location is very special with far reaching views and the quality of the villa throughout is excellent with no expense spared to make this a stunning rental villa.

The 8 x 4 m Roman stepped pool captures the sun and helps you relax and frame the views and as it is salt water filled, then smell and taste of chlorine is not an issue.

Once you have convinced yourself that you ought to leave the pool, then a lovely stone built BBQ is available for you to use and then when you wish to dine al-fresco you can sit in the shade on the veranda or if the sun is dropping and a little more shade is required then at the push of a button the awning will provide more.

Plenty of outside space is provided allowing for parking, terraces and also a sweet garden, there is also a gated entrance so a lovely environment for children to be able to play in.

Casa la Trocha has 2 beautiful bedrooms, the master with an en-suite with a bath.

The second bedroom has sleeping via twin beds, there is plenty of hanging space in both bedrooms.

The main bathroom has a quality Spanish style shower, with lovely tiles.

A great kitchen which is well equipped with lovely views and has a great feel and you can look out onto the pool and views whilst cooking a paella. A separate oven or hob are for your disposal and the fridge freezer is a good size, above all this kitchen is very well equipped with utensils which the chefs amongst you will love.Being created open plan the area of cooking and conversation works well with those wishing to relax in the dining room and lounge area not being isolated from the cooks in the family.

There is Spanish TV with a small element of English speaking channels, but a DVD and English films can provide the entertainment later in the night once you have finished swimming in the night air.

A cooling breeze is a hallmark of Comares and with the added bonus of fans and nets on all the windows you will sleep well even in the peak summer months.

Also unlimited WiFi provided at a small fee of only £10 extra per week.

In winter the views stay stunning and the Villa becomes cosy with a lovely log burning fire.

The owners brother whose own place is just down the track is a local taxi driver so he can provide a great value service and allow you to be tempted with an extra glass of vino with the meal and not worry about driving, the beauty is that you don't need to try and explain where you live, I think he can find his sisters villa !

Not only will you fall in love with this fantastic villa but also the nearby village of Comares, which as everyone says, once discovered never forgotten, it will get under your skin and stay in your memories forever with it's Moorish influenced styling and the fact that it has not been spoilt by the influx of tourism.

Beautiful Spanish house in the mountains

We were lucky enough to enjoy three glorious weeks at Casa Trocha in September. The views were breathtaking and changed constantly as the day wore on. The house is a lovely traditional Spanish home and very well equipped. We were able to cook anything we wanted. The pool was fantastic and so much bigger/nicer than we expected. We had such a relaxing holiday and ventured out to Nerja and Torre Del Mar both were a treat with lovely restaurants beaches and a warm welcome. You need a car as the house is nestled in the side of a mountain. The roads leading up are good but the bends a bit harem scarem and when you arrive at the house there is a dirt track which takes some getting used to. David and Jacqui were very friendly and helpful and the pool man was brilliant at maintaining the lovely gardens and pool, he is also very smiley and kind. We are looking forward to going again this year if available and would wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a house in a beautiful part of Spain.

I would just add from a good quality tarmac road it is just 1 minute to the Casa and so worth a slow plod to witness a view that will stun you. The pool , great quality Casa and amazing pool all makes for a lovely holiday base. Proof is in gaining repeat customers plus recommendations and this lovely couple have just rebooked for this year as well. Many thanks once again. David and Jacqui

Feels like the pool at the top of the world

Local style single story villa perched on the side of a hill on a tiny track (1st gear approach !). All mod cons inside, a little old fashioned but fine, but it is the pool and the patio that make the place - 100 square miles of Spain at your feet, lovely pool, very private and quiet. Take binoculars to extend the views and spot the bird life. A couple of houses nearby but you are not over-looked and rarely any cars crawling up the hill track. We loved the spot, did venture out to Granada and Cordoba (about 2 hours each way) but mostly chilled with the sherry. But if you go to Cordoba don't ask for sherry, that cost me a long lecture followed by being filled up with delicious Montilla-Moriles.

It is only a minute from a main road and I would just say it is really decorated in a very traditional Andalusian style by it's Spanish owners, quality throughout and a well equipped. Comares is a picturesque 'blanco' village uniquely nestling 739 metres above sea level, with amazing views from the sea to sierras.The village is reachable within 1 hour from Malaga and 1hour 20 mins from Granada.

Within the hour the amount of attractions available are numerous and diverse ranging from walks to go-carting , pony trekking to water parks ,beaches to historic cities , Spanish bars to English cinema , Air -condition shopping centres to cobbled street villages and golf courses to sandy beaches.

Golf: The nearest golf course is approx a 40 minute drive away.The 18 hole Baveria Golf Course is between Velez Malaga and Torre Del Mar and membership is not required.Details on request.

Ski: The nearest ski resort is in Sierra Nevada approx a 1hour 45 min drive away .

Nerja with it's quaint beaches and famous caves is also only 1 hour away and you can be parked and skiing at Sierra Nevada within 2 hours.

If you simply want to relax then the Andalucian countryside lends itself wonderfully to picnics, birdwatching , star gazing , painting and dramatic photography .

Many people are amazed as to the flexibility of this region of Spain which allows such a 'varied vacation' to be easily achievable within its boundaries .
