About Ana B. Reid
Dear Guest, I am specialised in exclusive accommodation in a different way in Tenerife since 1998 and I have Tourist License given by the Tourist Authorities on the Canaries. I studied Business Administration at University in Spain and also Manchester. Coming from an English family, I perfectly understand the wishes and hobbies of our European visitors, and being a Tenerife native, I have real information about the island, such as access to any subject which might interest my clients.
Ana B. Reid purchased this Villa in 2015
Why Ana B. Reid chose Puerto de la Cruz
The best point of this house is its situation, and its privacy and quietness, although it is quite close (6 minutes walking) to the impresive Parque Taoro. As the house is totally new, it is very comfortable: it is the ideal place to enjoy a holiday with friends or for family meetings.
What makes this Villa unique
The villa is ideal to be on Puerto de la Cruz, on a very quiet área, but with easy comunications everywhere. On central Puerto you can find a wide range of restaurants (typical, fresh fish ones, vegetarians, cool, international, etc), shops and sea avenues with cafés to sit down and enjoy the peculiar atmosphere, as Puerto preserves the routes of the fishing village it was on the past. The perfect place to rest.

Excellent property, well equipped and clean. A nice walk to old own.
We stayed for a week and enjoyed it.
Thank you! I am happy to know that you had such a nice time on your January stay.
Very pleasant stay
The villa is very close to the center of Puerto de la Cruz.
Thank you very much for your kind message! Yes, the villa is quite close to the center, I am glad that you had a nice time!
The villa was excellent. There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen with tea bags, salt pepper amongst other condiments which is realy useful for cooking in.
The layout worked perfectly with the bedrooms being tucked away from the living area. The bedrooms were simple but decorated well.
I can see what the other reviews said about the sofas but you could actually lift the back up and get a neck rest so it was very comfy then.
The only downside was the unheated pool which we were aware of but it was sooooo cold.We unfortunately had quite a bit of rain which meant it never really got any warmer. The furniture under the overhang would unfortunately still be in the rain so we could not use that either but then it was December.
The area where the villa is in is very quiet area but quite a hike from the town centre esp being uphill but we did walk it a few times. The town is so much nicer than some of the touristy towns.
Overall would definitely recommend the villa for warmer/drier times if you want to use the outside area but the inside is superb.
Thank you very much for your review! Yes, the house is very well equiped and designed for a comfortable holiday. After 6 extremely dry months you catched two rainy days. It was not enough for the island, but the unusual high temperatures we had on the begining of December suddenly went down for a few days. I am glad to know that you liked Puerto de la Cruz, yes I agree that it nicer than other tourist places of the island. Puerto de la Cruz preserves the roots of the fishing village it was!. Thank you again
beautiful, well-appointed villa
We were 2 families with two 7 year-old boys and a 4 year-old girl. We flew in to Tenerife Sur and from there it was about an hour and 10 to the villa. We had a very comfortable stay and really enjoyed the well-appointed, comfortable villa. We all enjoyed splashing about in the pool and the villa had everything you could need, including lovely hosts who were very thoughtful and helpful. We walked into town to go to the volcanic sand Playa Jardin, to the salt water pools of Lago Martianez, to the many tasty restaurants and to catch the free train to Loro Parque. When the kids were too tired and the parents had had the odd glass of wine we caught a taxi home which cost us less than €5. Puerto de la Cruz is blissfully free of all the vulgar Brits-abroad shops, restaurants and cod Irish pubs that are in the south of the island. However, you don't need to speak Spanish as almost everywhere has menus translated into English and German. Anywhere you want to go on the island is within a two hour drive and so this is a lovely place to base yourself. We stayed mid October and the weather during the day was lovely, ranging from 25-35 C.
We would highly recommend the villa for a lovely holiday.
Thank you! What a wonderful review you have dedicated us! We are very grateful that you consider the house nice clean and comfortable. Yes, Puerto de la Cruz is part of the "real Tenerife" despite being a tourist town, but it preserves the local entire atmosphere. Take care and we hope you see you at the villa back son!
Superb property is greal location.
Absolutely stunning property which was lovely. Only fault is that there is no air conditioning or fans. We managed whilst there but could not of stayed here had it been June/July. Apart from that the house was immaculate and a beautiful place to stay and relax in. Hosts could not of been more helpful either.
Thank you so much! To provide a clean house and a good service is very important for us, so your good review is much apreciated! well, as you might know, our summer is very soft, but I have to admit that this year we have had unusual high temperatures (26ºC in September is quite high for us in September), so we will study the posibility to put some fans next summer, thank you for the advise!
Lovely modern villa
Had a lovely holiday in this modern villa. Marc met us when we arrived and provided us with plenty of information regarding restaurants, taxis supermarkets and all the local attractions. It was a pleasant walk into the main town we had taxis back in the evening for between 3 and 5 euros. It was nice to have a cleaner coming in halfway through the two week stay, and having pool towels provided.
The only downside for us was some evenings we were very warm and probably a cool fan in the bedrooms would have been refreshing, having said that we had a brilliant time and would defiantly recommend this villa. Thank you Marc.

Thank you very much for your detailed review. Yes, the house has a fantastic location. Close enough to central Puerto (there are only hotels and apartments there) but on a quiet area. I am glad that you had a very nice time. I have informed Marc about the fan, I have to admit that we are not used to the high temperature we had that week, even in August. Please come back, we love having such well educated guests at the villa!
Puerto de la Cruz: Where the sea ends and the valley begins
lies a little coastal village…
...there and then I ask for a grace:
The grace to be able to return:
A famous woman writer dedicated these words to Puerto de la Cruz, in what was to be her leave taking of the village that had captivated her. Many years have passed and we have changed a lot. However the tourists who come every year still have the same feeling about the place. Many fulfil a promise in finding here a sensation of comfort and rest which makes Puerto a favourite tourist resort. We like to come back to the fishing harbour, the walks along the boulevards next to the sea and see the café terraces open all year round and perhaps enjoy those books we never had time to finish and let one minds relax in the agreeable coming and going of passersby and the silence of the coastal horizon.
Our visitors are charmed by the different pace of time they find here, where there is no hurry and they can pass the time in agreeable contemplation of the scenery, and savour a fresh fish and a good glass of wine on the balcony of a restaurant.
Puerto is a mixture of sea and old and new streets in unchanging time which blends surprisingly with a modern tourist industry. Nearly a million tourists use the 30000 (thirty thousand) beds available and in spite of progress, Puerto is still an attractive place to visit.
The Canaries are the only area of Europe where one can really enjoy a good climate in winter. Puerto de la Cruz, situated on the coast, has the privilege of an all year round temperature climate into a medium of 19ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer. Our special microclimate is defined as “healthy and agreeable, not to hot and not too cold” and was recommended in the XIX century by the British Medical Society for the recovery of many patients who needed a benign climate.
The peak of Teide is the higher mountain in Spain, overlooking the valley of Orotava and only 9 km away from Puerto and the sea we have many suggestions for places to visit but you must see the fishing harbour, Botanical Gardens, Playa Jardín, Costa Martiánez, Plaza del Charco, Parque Taoro, Loro Parque and Playa San Telmo.
