A self-catering villa with fantastic facilities on 10,000 acre conservation area

Luxury three bedroom villa, 400metres from the beach with private pool situated in Vale de Garrao between the well known resorts of Quinta de Lago and Vale do Lobo. The villa is in a front line position with sea views. Access through its own gate onto the 10,000 acre conservation park which leads to the beach.

On the ground floor, a fully fitted modern kitchen equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, American style fridge freezer with ice maker etc. A spacious open lounge with log burning fireplace, dvd and satellite television. Dining area with large 8 seater table leading to two bedrooms, both with side by side single beds and new en-suite bathrooms.

On the first floor, an exquisite master bedroom - suite - with king size bed, fireplace, double sofa bed and new en-suite bathroom. There are also glass doors opening to a spacious patio giving access to the roof terrace with dining space and sea views.

Spacious villa in peaceful location

The villa was a good size and well equipped even included plastic containers for food storage, with plenty of crockery and utensils and new gas bbq.

The pool was of adequate size for our party of 5 (including 3 young adults) however, we felt the pool area needed a little TLC - several tiles missing in pool which led to a few cut toes. Good number of sun beds, we carried the plastic beds down from roof terrace as the wooden ones round the pool did not recline fully. good sun shade canapies on all doors to pool which were nice when eating outside and not shown in pictures.

The location is very peaceful with the nature reserve behind however, without a car you have to rely on taxis as supermarket not within walking distance (min 10 Euros each way) A few restaurants mainly at the beach, we tried to book into Maria's which was recommended but was fully booked for the 2 weeks, we mainly ate in as the villa catered for everything we needed. Although the beach is close by, and you can access through the nature reserve this is overgrown in places and not ideal, but to walk via road only takes 10-15 min.

Good clean beach with variety of water sports.

Villa is OK but watch out for your deposit....

We stayed in the villa for a week commencing Saturday 4th June 2016. The location was great and the access was smooth. The villa itself whilst acceptable feels a little tired and in need of a small amount of TLC

On arriving there were electrical issues (no lighting in master bathroom) which could not be sorted until the Monday. A cafetiere discovered broken on arrival wasn't replaced until the Wednesday.

Whilst staying in the Villa our 3yr old son knocked over a glass table lamp - we immediately notified the local and remote agents- we did identify that it was a 20yr old St MIchaels / M&S lamp.

On our return we waited till past the 10th day and were advised that the owners wanted to personally select a new lamp when they visited the property in early July - it took a further 2 weeks of hassle to get a percentage of our deposit back.

We finally received the balance of our deposit back after much effort on 20th July where we discovered this 20 year old lamp had been replaced with an £85 new model.

We were quite happy that a modest sum be retained to cover the accidental damage but the attitude of the owner towards our money was disappointing and the length of time that elapsed between returning home and having our money returned was in our opinion unacceptable.

The only redeeming feature of this whole episode was the attitude and support we received from Marilyn and Rob's agent Sue who unfortunately has no control over the deposit but did spend a significant amount of time and effort trying to mediate on our behalf.

Perfect place in the sun!

We have stayed at this villa twice, once in September 2014 and again this June and hope to return next summer. It is a lovely place, very peaceful, accessing at the rear onto the nature reserve and is a short walk to the beach and nearby beach restaurants. The villa itself is extremely comfortable with lovely new bathrooms, the kitchen is well equipped and spacious, the pool, although small, is more than adequate and well maintained. There are plenty of seating areas either in sun or shade. The villa suits either a couple or a crowd.

My husband was thrilled this year to find the television had nearly every conceivable Sky channel and he could watch the Grand Prix from beginning to end! The management company are very helpful and if there is a problem it is dealt with very quickly. Everything is immaculate and very clean with the lovely cleaning ladies coming in three times a week. Sue, the previous owner of the villa who is still involved, is a joy to deal with.

We are not golfers but my husband hires a bike and goes for long leisurely bike rides whilst I happily stroll around the Ria Formosa with all its magnificent wildlife.

We have stayed in the surrounding area in a number of villas over many years but this, without doubt, is our favourite.

A wonderful stay in a great location

We loved our stay here! The villa is not new but is really spacious, clean and nicely decorated and has everything you need in a perfect location within walking distance of Garrao Beach. We had no problems receiving the balance of our breakages deposit and the owners and agents were always very friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay. We would recommend it to anyone, anytime.

Ideally situated between Vale do Lobo and Quinta de Lago, the villa has several famous golf courses within 5 minutes drive, beautiful sandy beaches accessible by foot and great shopping & nightclubs in the surrounding area. There are an abundance of activities for all ages available on the beach and great waterfront restaurants serve lunch and dinner with fresh fish and delicious Portuguese wine year round. The area makes a great place for a family holiday or a romantic, sunset holiday for a couple.
