Great Place to Unwind and Turn it all Off

  • 5 of 5

This is probably our 18th visit to the Renvyle Peninsula, but the first time we have rented a home. Lisa's home was perfectly located, comfortable, and a very nice place to stay. It was well equipped, although we wish there was a "throw" and a greater selection of pillows available to accommodate people's various tastes. The beds were good and the living rooms were exceptionally comfortable. Everything you need is in the kitchen and everything worked well. If you lead a busy life and need to turn it all off for a bit, this is the perfect place to do that. We understand that Lisa and her family will return to occupy the house at some point, which is a blessing for them and a disappointment for us as we would love to become annual customers.

Great week

  • 5 of 5

What more is there to say what hasn’t been written in previous reviews. The house was warm with amazing views in an area great for walking, cycling. The local pub and hotel are a great reason for a good night out. The hosts were welcoming. I would love to come back again.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

Lovely clean warm house with everything we needed. Easy to tell this is a family home even with kids themed cutlery for the little ones. Located in a picturesque setting, surrounded by mountains and the sea, great to walk down to the beach. House is safe for the kids with everything on a single floor. Booked during a cold cold February, complete with hailstones but the open fire was a great addition to curl up beside in the evenings with the kids. They loved their horsey neighbours ;-)

Beautiful and comfortable. Felt like home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

This house is all it is advertised to be. We found ourselves excited to come home to the house during our stay to relax, read, and enjoy the fabulous view and comfort the house provides. It wasn’t hard to find and the caretakers were kind and very accommodating. We had a great vacation!

Connemara stay

  • 5 of 5

If I simply describe the structure it does not do justice to the "home" we stayed at in Connemara. If I said a brick house with  wide expansive windows on all sides, tile and wood floors, marble counter tops, three bedrooms, two with en suites, and one expansive tile floored bathroom with Jacuzzi adjacent to one bedroom, with heated towel racks, a conversatory/ dining room, a large living room with a stone fireplace expanding half the length of one wall, and wood and peat already in the fireplace ready for burning, stocked libraries filled with all manner of books and games, and the entire time glass everywhere to see the Atlantic, and surrounding beauty of the mountains, and nature. That wouldn't describe this beautiful house. This was just the first floor, which also includes the full laundry facilities.

The rooms are impeccably decorated with leather couches, chairs, and wicker settees. The kitchen, which is large enough to accomidate any number of people, is modern and up to date. The marble counter also has four leatherbacked stools for those who wish to eat or drink at the bar. There are any number of light options that beautifully illuminate one or multiple areas for the perfect mood.  There is lighting around the outside of the house as well. The six chairs around the dinning room table are high backed comfortable and great for morning coffee, looking at the ocean and lounging

The  view  from one angle at the dining room table is of an expanse of green trees, the village and open land expanse. If I turn my eyes slightly to the right, there are the Connemara mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean.

Every morning we look out our bedroom window and see the horses, (if they are present) up near the house, and beyond them, again the view of the ocean. Sun, cloud, rain or shine the view is breathtaking. I wore out my camera with all my photos .When the winds off the Atlantic are gail force, one would never know it from the inside of this beautiful fortress.

The best.

Everything you need, very comfortable,

  • 5 of 5

The house is very well appointed, really comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, although we didn't really use it, you could cook three course meals. Warm and cosy, the open fire especially welcome when it is rainy and windy outside. We had some lovely weather, and some not so lovely, the local restaurants are very good, although at this time of year many in smaller towns and villages are closed. A real home from home with every need catered for.
