Stunning, luxurious, modern, hilltop villa set in extensive tended grounds with lawns, olive groves and breathtaking views of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range and the Bay of Pollensa.
Located in an unrivalled position between the ancient town of Pollensa and the sea at the port, and 1 Km from Pollensa Golf Club, this fabulous villa is secluded and private and terribly peaceful yet only a short drive to the main square for morning coffee and to the beaches and coves at the coast.
Built in 2006 on 36000 m2 of land, the house has a surface area of 240 m2 distributed over two floors, with six bedrooms and five bathrooms, four of which are en suite. The interiors are spacious and bright and beautifully decorated with soft neutral furnishings and art work inspired by the equestrian world. Wooden beams and terracotta tiled floors lend a rustic charm to these elegant stylish rooms.
The living dining room on the ground floor has magnificent high ceilings with wood lined beams, large comfortable sofas and a round polished wood dining table. A feature stone fireplace which doubles as a coffee table in the warmer summer months, takes centre stage in the middle of the room and there is heating and air-conditioning throughout. The large farmhouse kitchen has fitted wooden cupboards and a marble top cast iron breakfast table and is fully equipped with electric cooking stove, electric oven, microwave, electric coffee pot and dishwasher. The utility room houses the washing machine and clothes dryer.
The sleeping area comprises of six bedrooms, two of which are in the loft. There are three large double bedrooms, three doubles with twin beds, one of which is suitable for handicapped guests. Four of the rooms have air conditioning and heating and en suite bathrooms, and there is one extra single folding bed and two cots available . All the rooms have fresh linen, towels and fitted wardrobes. The house is suitable for both handicapped guests and young children. The bedrooms in the loft benefit from the air conditioning unit from the main living area.
The grounds around the house are quite lovely with both cultivated and natural gardens, beautifully maintained lawns, fruit trees and ancient olive trees. A deep shaded porch wraps itself around the house with several seating areas, dining areas and cushioned stone benches in which to relax and enjoy the silence and views. There is a place for everyone here, in and out of the sun. The terraces to the side of the house look out over to the mountains while at the front, a long white wooden dining table overlooks the garden and pool. There is also an outdoor kitchen here with a sink, refrigerator-freezer, kitchen range and barbecue. Just beyond the tended lawns with views across to the mountains and the sea, there is a 36 m2 circular swimming pool lined with wood decking, balustrades around the edge and gentle steps leading down into crystal clear waters.
This is a rural retreat, a haven of peace and tranquillity, with a beautiful house set in wonderful gardens in an idyllic spot. The far reaching views of the surrounding countryside, mountains and sea are breathtaking. And if you can drag yourself away, the charming cobbled streets and main market square of Pollensa awaits, with a wide selection of fine cosmopolitan restaurants and cafes. The Bay of Pollensa with its chic marina and Pine walk is a mere 3 Km down the road.
