Set on a secluded rural quiet south facing hillside just outside the village (8 minute walk) Cawsand. This 3 bedroomed cottage sleeps 6, provides an excellent base to explore the natural beauty of the Rame Peninsula and surrounding areas. It is positioned at the head of a valley with lovely sea views to Plymouth Sound. The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, with their sheltered beaches are only a10 minute easy walk away. Whitsand Bay with its wilder Natural Trust coastline and great beaches is a five minute drive or 20 minute walk over the hill.
Rose Cottage is reached up a short pathway and a total of 15 steps to entrance from the car parking area which has space for three cars. The ground floor consists of a large farmhouse kitchen/dining room with tiled floor with dishwasher, electric cooker and oven, microwave, and fridge freezer. There is a good sized living room with comfortable sofas and chairs for six, 32" Satellite TV with Freeview and separate DVD and CD players.

There are double doors from the living room to the patio. The utility rooms have a washing machine, an iron/ironing board and highchair.
First floor: 3 bedrooms sleeping 6: 1 x double, 1 x twin with sloping dormer ceiling, 1 x bunk beds all with views across the valley. A travel cot is available. The small upstairs family bathroom has a shower over the bath and a washbasin/toilet. A stairgate is fitted at the top of the stairs.
The cottage has oil fired central heating and all bed linen is provided but note not towels.
Outdoor areas: There are enclosed lawned gardens on two levels. The patio has an outdoor dining table with six chairs. There is ample off street parking for three cars. No smoking or pets. Disabled access is not possible.
The villages of Kingsand and Cawsand have many pubs and restaurants, a grocery store, art galleries, Post Office and gift shops.Less than a mile away is the village of Millbrook is just a mile away with a supermarket, greengrocers/health food shop, cash point, fish and chip shop and a garage.
The area is brilliant for walkers with the coastal path nearby and walks around Rame Head and Penlee as well as into Mount Edgcumbe Park and from Cremyll to Millbrook and back. There are also good options for sailing, windsurfing, swimming, fishing, birdwatching and photography or simply lazing on the beach and/or rock-pooling. The area is sometimes referred to as “Cornwall’s forgotten corner” and is steeped in history with many forts along the peninsula.We have included in our information booklet details of a number of local walks.
There are country parks including Mount Edgcumbe Park and gardens nearby, whilst further along the coast are Downderry, Seaton, Portwrinkle and Looe. The Eden Project is just over an hour by car.
The superb beaches at Whitsand Bay are a 15-20 minute walk away. Local shops and pubs are 1/2 mile away. There is a passenger ferry from the beach at Cawsand into the centre of Plymouth in summer and from nearby Cremyll all year round.
