With over one hectare of land, and approached via a long tree-lined avenue, La Clé slowly reveals itself as a charming spacious 7 bedroom property, sleeping 16 people in comfort. This quaint and completely refurbished family owned property nestles comfortably into the surrounding terraces, with its cloak of olive trees and its wooded area, boasting a spectacular view from the terrace across the landscape to the village, the cliffs and the hillside beyond.

Find the hidden path down through the garden and you can be in the village 10 minutes by foot, making it ideal for those days and evenings out without the worry of driving.

For added safety, it is also equipped with an alarm which sounds on impact with the water. Everything very clean and well presented.

Our Family - 11 adults had a wonderful week in Cotignac. Everything worked as it should and the house was perfectly presented. Lots of space for all and a wonderful pool. Easy walk into town with great market, boulangerie and restaurants. Would highly recommend this property and the town. Thank you.

A secluded piece of heaven. Gorgeous!

It’s a really beautiful villa, up in the hills, overlooking the quaint village of Cotignac, a 10 minute walk away from excellent restaurants, craft shops and a Boulangerie with patisseries to die for. We found a great market on Tuesdays.The villa itself has been completely renovated but is still a lovely old building full of charm, tastefully decorated and furnished with nooks and crannies everywhere so that everyone can find their own little space in this wonderful place. It is very comfortable and squeaky clean which was important to me. It is well maintained. The modern kitchen was well stocked. The 18m pool is gorgeous and a welcome relief from the heat. But the piece de resistance is the view from the terrace at night down into the village with the twinkly lights. Good for the soul! Lovely walks and vineyards and amazing food. My family and I have stayed there twice and will be back.

What a wonderful find in beautiful Provence

What a find! A fantastic property near the beautiful town of Cotignan, overflowing with fantastic Provence character – well worth the scenic drive. Once you get there you won’t want to leave!

The accommodation is just fantastic – the original property with all its character has been beautifully modernised/ extended to take full advantage of the stunning scenery. While it caters for a large number of guests / families at one time the rooms are so well laid out there is such generous space around to escape and just chill / relax do your own thing. Night time on the terrace overlooking the town is pretty special!

The swimming pool is a great size and has plenty of space around to sunbath / read. The ping-pong table was well used by kids and very competitive parents alike.

The generous kitchen is fully fitted with every gadget you need so cooking was fun (Nespresso coffee machine bit of a luxury!) The TV room / snug was appreciated at the end of the day by kids big & small.

The beautiful town square which is only a short walk away has plenty of restaurants to cater for all tastes and we found it very reasonable. There was singing & dancing in the square when it got dark which was brilliant fun for young & old – great memories:)

We would highly recommend this property to anyone / group.

L'endroit idéal pour un séjour en famille

L’été dernier nous avons tenu notre réunion familiale annuelle à La Clé de Provence, une maison spacieuse totalement équipée qui a accueilli sans problème notre groupe de 15 personnes. Durant une semaine ensoleillée nous avons savouré les breakfasts et dîners sur la terrasse qui domine le charmant village de Cotignac, sans oublier les pistes de balades dans les environs. Avec nos enfants et petits enfants nous avons profité sans limites de la grande piscine bien équipée en chaises longues et articles de jeu.

Marion, la gestionnaire et native du pays, qui vit à proximité, est toujours disponible pour informer et aider en cas de besoin.

La Clé de Provence est vraiment le lieu pour un séjour agréable en famille ou avec des amis !

This charming Provençal village is situated half way between St Tropez and the Gorges du Verdon’ surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive cloaks.

Its peculiar ‘rocher’, a cliff made of tuff, and two Saracen towers dominate the village nestled in the valley below. Many fountains will punctuate your leisurely walks.

A warm welcome awaits you in this village, which remains authentic despite being sought after by many visitors. Life centers around the Cours Gambetta, under the old plane trees where restaurants and cafés serve local wines and delicacies until late in the night. The Tuesday morning market is not to be missed!

Situated in the middle of the centre Var region, Cotignac is within an hour drive of many touristic areas such as the ‘Gorgesdu Verdon’, the ‘Lac de Ste Croix’, The Ste Victoire mountain and Aix en Provence but also some fine beaches of the Côte d’Azur. The village is equipped with two tennis courts and you will have the opportunity to indulge in the local sport of “boules” on the boulodrome. Other local sporting activities include golf, canoeing, horse riding and rock climbing.

Each summer, a selection of films and plays is shown in the outdoor theater.
