We stayed in the Clerkenwell apartment for 16 nights and were very happy with it. It is clean, modern, well-appointed and the location is very good. The balcony didn't get much use due to the weather, but it would be lovely to use more.
The location is great. We were able to walk almost everywhere from Spitalfields Market in the east end, all the major attractions in the very center of London, Regents Park, Hyde Park, and just about everywhere else. I will admit we like to see the city by foot though. It was easy to get to 2 different Underground stations which I used to commute to work daily.
I would stay here again.
My wife and I had a very comfortable 10-night stay in the flat over the Christmas holiday break. It is small but very comfortable, well designed and very well built. While the small street it is quiet since it's an office area, it is safe and maybe 5 minutes walk from the very cool and useful Exmouth market. Great choices there: Gail's bakery, Caravan for coffee and breakfast, the Wilmington gastropub, etc.. While you can walk to the Farringden and Chancey Lane tube stops, the #19 and #38 buses run very very frequently along Rosebery Avenue and connect to town and the tube. Was easy to explore East London as well.
We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and washing machine. All appliances and bath fittings are top quality. While some Americans might not be used to the European style appliances and perhaps the relatively low pressure shower head, it all works well and the inside temperature was very comfortable given the underfloor heating system.
This small and well-appointed flat gave us a cosy retreat from our London explorations, and was even better than we expected. Ivy Lettings and the responsive staff took good care of us, from the initial enquiry until we left.
The bed was comfortable, with good pillows; lighting was well done, and the place was very clean and well put together.
The flat overlooks a yard off a quiet street. The terrace gets some sun and is a good spot for breakfast or tea.
Transportation by tube and bus is within easy reach.
We had great meals at Hix and St. John's, both nearby.

I was very pleased with the rental. Very clean, well appointed. The only trouble was it was very noisy in the early hours (3am) over the weekends. Otherwise, I was very happy with the space and the overall service I have received from Ivy Lettings has been superior. Cheers!
The apartment is on a quiet street, six or seven minutes' walk from both Farringdon and Chancery Lane Underground stations and within two or three minutes of bus stops with routes all over Central London.
Clerkenwell oozes passion and creativity and is one of the most historically and culturally rich pockets of the great metropolis. The warehouses which sprung up during the industrial revolution have been converted into chic design and architecture firms, trendy bars, gastropubs and restaurants. The area is a hit with foodies: Hix Oyster and Chop House is a favourite, Granger and Co for brunch, Ye Olde Mitre for real ale, Modern Pantry for dinner. Restaurants are plentiful on your doorstep - for those who simply cannot get enough of eating out, here are some more great finds: Moro on Exmouth Market is always a great night out, or why not head to the first ever gastropub, The Eagle on the Farringdon Road? Those searching for a funky cocktail bar will be very happy to find The Zetter Townhouse within a 5 minute walk of their new home. With a jazzy cocktail bar and equally good restaurant, many a fun evening can be spent here!
London's Legal District is a 10 minute wander away and is definitely worth a visit, absorbing its architectual, historical and literary significance as you go. For those in need of some retail therapy or seeking the West End's theatres, cinemas and restaurants, Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Leicester Square are all within easy walking distance or a quick tube or bus ride away, as is the British Museum, the Barbican Centre and St Paul's Cathedral.
