This holiday home is part of a small quiet gated community, designed in typical Andalusian style, set in tropical gardens with an outdoor swimming pool, which is open all year round. It comprises a fully equipped kitchen,living/dining area with sliding doors to large terrace, two bedrooms, one with a large double bed and the other has 2 singles, bathroom with large shower and downstairs toilet. Baby equipment is also available, cot, high chair etc. free of charge.

Ideal location: It is located in Bajamar 2, Calle Ramon y Cajal, about 150 metres from the Parador Hotel which is well signposted once you arrive in Nerja. The property is only a few minutes stroll to the old quarter of the town, which has remained virtually untouched with its narrow streets, leading to the main square and the Balcon de Europa, which is the focal point of the town and where the tourist office can be found. Burriana Beach is approx 10 min walk away,where you will also find a great variety of restaurants and bars.

Entertainment/activities: There are three golf courses within 15/20 minutes drive away. The tennis court at the Parador Hotel is open to the public. Shoppers are well catered for - apart from the local boutiques, supermarkets and the regular Tuesday market, there is a large shopping centre with cinemas and restaurants about 15 minutes drive away, called El Ingenio. Here you can get almost everything, under one roof. Nearby, there is a water park which opens during summer months.

Nerja is Spain's best kept secret. It is an idyllic and peaceful location and a great place to get way from it all. This property is fantastic for families, couples, anyone looking for a quiet area and relaxing environment. It is a law abiding area and is relatively crime free. You will enjoy your stay here.

Best location in Nerja

We know Nerja well and can say with some confidence that this house has the perfect location - enclosed and secure but 5 minutes walk from both the Balcon De Europa and all the surrounding restaurants, and 5 minutes walk from Burriana beach. Supermarkets and patisseries within minutes too. Parking is tricky outside (as is everywhere in Nerja) so would probably recommend a transfer unless you want to explore further afield, as everything in Nerja is close by.

The house itself is beautifully kept, clean and white, with a large terrace for baking on.

Highly Recommend this lovely holiday home

Our second excellent stay at Firbrook. The house had everything that our family needed for a perfect holiday and an enclosed patio area, off the living room, for our one year old granddaughter to play in safety. Firbrook is situated in one of the best areas of town, near the Parador. Bajamar 11 is a quiet, well maintained, gated, community complex with lovely gardens and a very clean pool. We highly recommend this well appointed holiday home and look forward to our next stay in December. Thanks Colleen and Hans for being such lovely hosts.

Wonderful house close to everything!

Our family of 4 had a fabulous week in Colleen's house in Nerja. We cannot praise the accomodation highly enough. It is superbly appointed, we had everything we needed for our stay. Perfect location: very close to all the beaches and town, yet quiet and peaceful. We loved the terrace, great for summer eating or just chilling out. The pool was clean and not too busy, although we preferred the beach. It was our first time in Nerja and we found it to be a great place for a week's holiday: good beaches, fab restaurants, not too big, not too small - just right. Granada is an absolute must, magical place and only an hour away. The caves were pretty cool too, kids loved it!

Special mention for the owners: we had an absolute nightmare with our airline and Colleen couldn't have been more accommodating. We are so grateful for your kindness Colleen and looking forward to coming back to Nerja and your house again in the future!

Great holiday in a great location

We had a great stay in this spacious, well-maintained house. It was spotlessly clean with a well equipped private terrace. Nice, quiet area but near to everything.

The owner was very pleasant to deal with. We can recommend this property highly and have already booked our next stay here.

We have stayed in many different types of accommodation in Nerja over the years, many of which didn't quite meet our expectations. We can honestly say that this house and its owners are exemplary. We had a fabulous time with our family in this wonderful, spotlessly clean and well appointed house and felt so comfortable that we were sad to leave. There is a lovely new bathroom with a walk in shower that isn't shown on the photos and downstairs a second toilet. Our stay was in December and the south facing terrace was a great sun trap out of the cool breeze. Then after sunset, it was good to have UK TV, wifi, and heating, before our regular trips to the local amenities! The house is situated near the Parador in a lovely quiet and private complex just a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. We have already booked to stay again in June and December - that's how good it is. We highly recommend!

Exceptional treatment

Stayed here for the second time as we considered the overall offering and location experience to be very good value. However my principal comment relates to the exceptional treatment afforded to us by Colleen. During our stay we experienced an major issue ( details not relevant ) and the response from Colleen was indeed exceptional and very much appreciated. Thanks again Colleen and hope to be down again next year

Nerja is a small town with extremely beautiful natural scenery, surrounded by mountains & beaches. It can easily be explored by strolling through the narrow winding streets, where you will discover interesting shops, restaurants, bars & small areas shaded by orange trees & pagodas where you can rest and watch the world go by. It is an ideal location to explore the old white villages & the renowned pre-historic Nerja caves. Granada with its famous Alhambra Palace & the Sierra Nevada Mountains where one can ski from December to March is less than a 2 hour drive. Day trips to Gibraltar, Cordoba, Seville and Morocco are possible from here. In the nearby countryside one can see traditional farming methods in use, including carts drawn by bullocks and farmers on the backs of mules with their fresh fruit & vegetables. This area boasts at having the best all year round climate in Europe, with very pleasant winters.

The well maintained communal pool is shared by 24 houses. Bed linen and towels supplied on arrival. Cleaning on departure is included. Free street parking. Kitchen and bathrooms have been recently renovated to a very high standard. Air conditioning/heating unit in lounge and both bedrooms. Ceiling fans provided in bedrooms, stand-up fan in living area. Portable electric heaters and wall heaters provided in living area and bedrooms. Smoking only allowed on the terrace. Bring your laptop if you want to avail of free broadband. The flat screen TV has all the English and Irish channels.
