This apartment shares a well maintained garden with shrubs, and an orange and lemon tree. There is a communal pool and sea views. As the apartment is on the ground floor you can just step through the patio doors of the lounge or kitchen, onto the terrace and across the lawn to the large pool. The apartment is air conditioned to be cool in the Summer or use the heating for the Winter evenings.
Mijas is an interesting white washed Spanish village with cobbled streets in the older sections. There is a multitude of eating places within the village and a variety of shops. The apartment is in a marvellous position being close to the centre of the village with it's shops, and restaurants but is situated in a secluded location, which is quiet and peaceful.
It is not essential to hire a car when renting this apartment as the village has a lot to offer and public transport is reasonably priced and regular going to places like Marbella, Torremelinos, Porto Benuse and Fengirola. The nearest beaches are at Fengirola which is a 15 minute drive or bus ride.
The property is south facing so enjoys plenty of natural light, and comprises spacious lounge with dining table and chairs, easy seating, TV, fireplace and patio doors leading out onto the front patio area, with views of the pool. The quality kitchen has recently been renovated and has fully fitted units and granite work top, ceramic hob, electric oven, washing machine, fridge freezer, and microwave. WiFi available (1 week - 15 Euro / 2 weeks - 20 Euro).
There are 3 bedrooms, all with fitted wardrobes. Bedroom one has double access views to the gardens, bedroom two has views of the side garden, and the third bedroom is rear facing. The bedrooms consist of one double bedroom and two twin bedrooms. There are two luxury fully tiled bathrooms, one with bath and shower attachment, the second with a shower.
Outside there are 2 spacious terraces - the front terrace with views over the communal grounds and swimming pool, while the side terrace has views over the gardens. There is a picnic table and chairs for outside dining and some sun lounges. The apartment has a wind out awning to the front of the property which is very useful when the sun is at it's fiercest.
The outside space the property enjoys is a beautiful well maintained level garden, large swimming pool and a separate section of gardens with trees and shrubs to the side. There is gated secure parking if required.

oasis on the edge of a beautiful village
couldn't fault our stay here- pool only yards from the apartment, everyone else staying nearby was friendly and accomodating , nothing had been left to chance in the property, like a home from home

Nice apartment beautifully situated
In case you are wondering, this apartment is bottom left in the photograph. It's located on a quiet street, a short walk from the centre of Mijas. It is right behind the lovely TRH Mijas Hotel where we also had friends and family staying, and where we spent some time. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from an excellent small supermarket called Dia where you can stock up on holiday food and drink.
The apartment is pleasant and well equipped. Indoor dining facilities would be a little cramped for 6.
You can park your car either on the roadside at the main entrance (the rear from this angle) or more securely at the back leading onto the garden. You don't need a car to come here though - public transport from Malaga airport is good, there are buses locally down to the coast and you can book day trips to places like Granada at the Hotel Mijas.
Mijas is lovely and there is loads to see and do in the area. There are lots of opportunities for walks in the hills behind the town.
When we visited in April it was a bit cool for using the shared pool but I imagine it would be lovely in the summer. The kids loved the communal garden.

The apartment is situated in an ideal position only 5 min walk to the centre of Mijas and yet located in a quiet lovely peaceful area. The ground floor apartment is large and has all that is required for a family holiday. The grounds and swimming pool are kept to a high standard with beautiful lawned area around the pool. The best thing about the apartment that one could walk straight out of the French doors onto the lawn and then into the pool.The apartment is immaculate and clean. Mijas has plenty of bars and restaurants which you can walk out to. It is in a mountain village, white washed, with lots of character but you can be on the coast very quickly. Near at hand you can visit Marbella, Estapona and Porto Banus. If you want to travel further afield Granada, Seville, Gibraltar and Cordoba are approximately a two hour drive away.
