Wonderful Home & Location

  • 5 of 5

This was absolutely one of the best vacations we ever had, there were 9 of us. The home is well maintained, spacious, and just lovely. The location and neighborhood is fantastic. Close enough to London and sights without being too close. The transportation system and links are spot on. The gardens of the home are well done and a great place for the family to discuss the adventures of the day in the evening. Groceries are close by short walk 10 minutes. The shops, restaurants and local pubs are great fun and a must. (The Pubs Haven, Wheatsheaf, were fun and Bob's Cafe we recommend for breakfast or any time.) The only minor drawback to the home is that the internet is lacking enough broadband for multiple devices. But you are on vacation so forget the internet. Robert was a great host and full of good information. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We highly recommend this home and would do it all over again.

Perfect house for our family vacation. Very comfortable, spacious, well appointed, and nice locale.

  • 5 of 5

Hosts were also great and very communicative. If we returned as a big group (8) we would book here again for sure. Easy walk to tube, buses, shops, pubs, cafes, ATMs and more. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Gorgeous garden to relax and eat in. Wifi was strong, plenty hot water. We wanted for nothing. Thank you Mortimers!

Perfectly vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent over two weeks in this home this summer. It was perfect for our large family. The photos and Robert's description of the home were accurate. Everyone had their own personal space. My family enjoyed cooking and socializing in the large, perfectly appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the raspberries growing in the beautiful garden. The tube station was close by and so were many shops. This house was in the perfect location for us. We enjoyed the house immensely!

Outstanding! Perfect English home the ay we remembered from 50 years ago, and all modernized.

  • 5 of 5

We are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year, and it was 50 years age that we lived on the western edge of London for nearly two years. We planned trip to celebrate and to introduce our daughter and son-in-law and our three teenage grandchildren to what we experienced when we were first married. When we walked into this house built in the 1880 era, we were instantly transformed to the the same quaint warmth of this lovely old English residence we lived in back in 1967. This was not a hotel or a bed and breakfast. This was a home! The home was neat and clean and very comfortable for the seven of us. The accommodations were excellent. The location was secluded yet very near a tube station, shops and restaurants. The owners were very accomodating and helpful, especially with the grocery items that helped us settle in after a long flight. The kids loved the bread and "real" butter! Quiet street and neighborhood. No safety or security issues. Many thanks to Robert and Misha for opening the home to us.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a wonderful stay at this property. We were in London to see the sights and knew that we did not want to go back to a hotel room at night. The house was just as advertised. The house is large and suited the 8 of us perfectly. It was close to the train station so getting around the area was convenient and easy. There was a large combination kitchen and dining room that was a great place to hangout and visit. We opened the back french doors and could wander in and out enjoying the mornings and evenings. There were grocery shops nearby and wonderful restaurants to have our evening meals. We especially like Moussaka and Wine and Cote Brasserie. Robert was excellent to deal with and very responsive to our questions. He lives in the area and made great suggestions of things to do and see. I would highly recommend this home and can't wait to go back!
