About yvonne hobbs
After owning a breakfast and lunch restaurant for 25 years in Massachusetts, we had a dream to own a bed and breakfast. With my husband's culinary background and my Swiss training as a pastry chef, we believe we will make your stay unforgettable by combining the antique charm of Aiken Manor and by adding our own European flair, for an exceptional experience.
yvonne hobbs purchased this Cottage in 2019
What makes this Cottage unique
The minute we walked in to Aiken Manor, we knew we found our new home. We have direct access to the Northern Trail, where we can snowshoe, bike and take our beloved dogs for long walks. There is something for everyone here, winter sports such as skiing, summer sports such as boating and kayaking as well as shopping at the outlets.

Aiken Manor was lovely. Yvonne and Warren were wonderful hosts. We stayed a few nights over the 4th of July passing through to our new home in Maine. The two bedroom apartment was perfect for the four humans, two dogs, and a cat. The dogs enjoyed running and playing in the large yard. I wish we could have stayed longer. As the property transitions from the previous owner to Yvonne and her husband they were staying in the apartment below us and we didn’t hear a peep (hope they didn’t hear us). The place is very solidly built.
The lake and water toys were absolutely perfect on the hot days. The kids enjoyed horseshoes, croquet, the kayaks, floaters and s’mores at the fire.
Just a precaution before you jump into the lake make sure you have water shoes. There are some fresh water muscles that can be very sharp if you hit them just right.
Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I am thankful his was available just when we needed it.
Good luck In your new adventure Yvonne and Warren.
The property is beautiful and located close to downtown Franklin. Also, the horses and dogs kept on site are delightful (the owner is kind enough to supply guests with treats for the animals)!
Wonderful family get away!!
Our family had a fabulous time at Aiken Manor!
Brownyn had our home beautifully furnished with every amenity we needed. Rails to trails a few feet from our door gave us a beautiful & serene place to walk with our dog.
Treats for our dog along with carrots for the 3 horses on the property were a nice touch as was the drawer filled with Kureg cups
Gunstock & Ragged Mountains has good conditions and were a 30 minute drive
We’ll definitely be back!!
Can’t wait to see you again. You are family now! So glad you had a good time!
Good Property, Great Host!
Bronwyn was a fantastic host, who really makes sure that everything is taken care of in a way to make your vacation comfortable. We really appreciated her communication before and during the stay, as well as the small touches in the unit like the stocked Keurig, plenty of clean towels, extra toiletries in the closet, board games, treats for both the dogs and horses, and more. During the stay, we had an issue with the heater smelling strongly of oil, and she quickly had someone come out to look at it and tighten all of the connections - solving the problem. She also was quick to provide salt to put out when the driveway got icy.
The unit itself is nice, with two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the common room. (It is not the main house as seen in the main pictures, but a second floor apartment which was seen in the picture with the exterior staircase). We had five adults and we didn't feel too cramped!
One thing to note is that there is a dog kennel right next to the unit, and the dogs get excited rather easily. Our dog doesn't really bark in reaction to other dogs barking, but if your dog does, you may have a long night!
Overall, we were happy with our stay with Bronwyn, and really appreciated the closeness of the property to skiing (Ragged), shopping at the outlets, and nature.
Thanks for having us!
Thanks so much, Alex. The dogs can go inside at night and had I known they were a bother they could have been put in. Having just gotten out of the hospital, I forgot to ask you what you preferred.
Excellent stay , got everything we needed and host was great.
The owner is very responsive. Close to quaint little town.
Nice weekend getaway.
