Villa Al Azhar is beautifully secluded amongst orchards with immaculately kept gardens and extensive furnished terraces. Internally, quality furnishings are enhanced by traditional and elegant décor.
From the front driveway there are various steps up to the front door and when you enter the villa you are welcomed by Muriel paintings, handiwork of the original owner, which adorn the expansive entrance hall and many character features have been carefully preserved. The accommodation is spacious, most attractive and very well suited to families or larger groups, boasting a private & separate 4th bedroom located on ground level, with full bathroom. All in all, the house spreads stylishly and with many singular touches over three floors, the wealth of external patios providing families or sharing parties with an opportunity for individual peace and quiet if required.
Villa Al Azhar is in a great location, just on the outskirts of Puerto Pollenca ( 1.5 km ) which is one of the quintessential Mallorca towns on the island. There is a public footpath and bicycle path on the opposite side of the main road which leads you directly down to town.
Reached by a country lane just off the Puerto Pollensa - Pollenca main road, you enter the villa, by the electric gates, and up the winding shared driveway to be welcomed by the traditional stone arches covered with beautiful bougainvillea. The villa is surrounded by various indigenous plants, shrubs and local flowerage with a small circular island, at the front, full of various types of palms.
Outside amidst the lovely, immaculately kept gardens there is an ample size private swimming pool, with ladder steps, and extensive sun terraces with comfortable sofas and chairs for complete relaxation for all the family. Located on the rear terrace area is a brick BBQ and smaller mobile BBQ, various dining tables and chairs perfect for al fresco dining.
The villa has 4 bedrooms:
2 x double rooms with double beds
(master bedroom with access out to the front terrace)
1 x triple bedroom with bunk beds, cot and a single bed (ideal for children) also with access out to the front terrace.
Connecting library/study ideal for extra beds - with access out to the front terrace
1 x separate double bedroom on the ground floor with external entrance.
( This 4th bedroom has a separate exterior entrance on ground level with a bathroom opposite)
2 x full bathrooms upstairs - one en-suite with double doors so also serves as a communal bathroom or en-suite.

Leading off the impressive entrance hall you will find two comfortable, well sized lounge areas, one with plasma TV and the other with an amazing cream baby grand piano. Adjacent to the TV lounge is the elegant dining room which leads onto the spacious & bright fully equipped kitchen. From here you can access a covered terrace which is ideal for family breakfasts with marvellous sweeping views across the gardens. Definitely an ideal place for starting the day ! Also from the TV lounge you can reach the rear 2 fully furnished terrace and swimming pool. The selection of secluded poolside patios and shaded terraces will doubtless prove an irresistible invitation to enjoy outdoor living at its very best.
This is a perfect holiday destination, in a wonderful location, close to Puerto Pollenca and it´s beautiful beaches and fantastic array of restaurants, cafes and shops.
The owner´s live on the grounds but villa Al Azhar is totally private and is not overlooked in anyway, it only shares the driveway with the owner and is actually located at the end of the driveway. Opposite the villa there is a small building that is used for storage of gardening equipment.
The villa has air conditioning which is centrally operated on the first floor and has a separate unit in the lounge downstairs.
The air conditioning will be on a timer and operational from 18.30 hrs - 08.00 hrs.
During the winter months extra costs for heating will be required, please enquire for details as there will be an extra cost.
