Chalet Bonbon is a newly developed luxury chalet with amazing views and sunsets over Lake Geneva and the Swiss mountains.

Perfectly situated 380 meters from the local cable car, shops and restaurants and a 15 mins drive to Lake Geneva it is ideal for both summer walking, cycling and swimming vacations as well as winter snow sports and skiing. Drive 30 mins and you are in the Porte du Soleil the largest ski/mountain bike area in the world with a further 650 km of piste.

From the chalet grounds you can walk into woodland at the rear which will link you to some of the best walks in the Haute Savoie region, one in particular is 'stared' in the Michelin guide as an area of exceptional natural beauty and boasts the best viewing point for Lake Geneva and Jura mountains.

Developed to a very high standard, it comfortably sleeps 8 people with 4 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and a cloakroom. Outside are three wooden decked terraces totaling 90 sq meters where you can relax and enjoy the sun loungers, dining facilities, bbqs and a further 2500 square meters of alpine grounds and forest land.

Inside in the main living area there is a large satellite television with internet connection, surround sound and stereo system with an iphone adapter. There is also fast internet access with free Wi-Fi.

The chalet has been furnished to high standard with marble and slate bathrooms, underfloor heating throughout, king size beds with high quality mattresses, cotton towels & linen in all rooms.

The kitchen is provided with numerous utensils, including fondue and raclette sets as well as an induction hob, fan oven and dishwasher. A washing machine, clothes dryer and iron is also provide as well as a small safe so personal items can be locked away safely.

The apartment was super clean,comfortable and included everything you need for your perfect holiday. The view from living room and balcony was stunning.

Really nice chalet with beautiful panoramic view

Chalet is perfect and the panoramic view on the Leman and Lausanne is really beautiful... The chalet is not too far away from slopes departure (about 10min walk). We really enjoyed our vacations, thanks Graham!

Fantastic Views away from Hustle and Bustle

A lovely chalet that was ideal for us as we were attending the Evian Women's Golf Championship . Although it is approx 20 minutes from Evian the drive up and down is easy and has fantastic views. Only 3 of us in the chalet but could easily hold 8 people ( if 2 people don't mind bunk beds) which would be more economical. The weather wasn't great so only got use of the outside area on the first day which set us up for the week. Seeing the sun go down while consuming a bottle of champers was very relaxing. Having glass front was exceptional so you could see across the bay which was beautiful at night.

The weather meant chilly evenings and mornings so the underfloor heating was bonus. Previous comment about small ensuite is true but vey workable and the main bathroom mare than makes up for it.

Property has Netflix although we were so tired from the golf and exploring we only watched minimal TV .

The restaurant in Thollon-les- Memises called Les XV was exceptional and walking distance . We only ate out once in the evening as the main reason for the chalet was to be able to cook due to dietary needs .

As experienced travellers we knew to buy mainly at the Supermarches down in the main towns although there are a couple of shops in the smaller villages near the chalet which looked a reasonable size.

Good communication from owner and caretakers

I would guess this is fantastic Chalet for the ski season .

Renter Beware

We rented this property for six days in the beginning of July of this year. We found the property to be pretty much as advertised with a couple of exceptions. The upstairs "shower room" true has high quality materials but strongly reminds one of the bathrooms on very small cruise ship. On attempting to shower the first night an ever so slight touch to the rainfall shower head caused it to fall nearly causing injury. On examination, which we shared with the property manager, one could clearly see that someone had attempted to glue it on. The shower was quickly repaired and we didn't give it a second thought until we arrived home three weeks later and asked when we could expect the refund of our security deposit at which time the owner chose to hold us responsible for the damage to the shower. The net result after numerous communications was a forfeiture of the deposit.

The views from the decks and house were fine but distant and while inside we could not take advantage of any breezes because there were no screens and an over abundance of flies. For cooling at night we could not open the french doors in any of the bedrooms because of the screen issue and a real concern for what nocturnal visitors, you are the woods, we may have. Our solution for these issues was to buy a fan.

Last but certainly not least the driveway is at best a HAZARD because it is so steep. We damaged the bottom edges of both rear quarter panels and could only enter and exit on the extreme left in, right out sides which had been recommended to us ,after the damage, by the property manager.

In conclusion, renter BEWARE, and buy a couple of fans and a fly swatter.

Owner's Response: Unfortunaly these elderly American guest were very difficult and demanding as well as damaging the property and then refusing to pay for it. I liaised with HomeAway and they were in agreement that the guests should pay for the repairs and they were subsequently charged. Luckily this is the first bad experience we have had in renting the property and the first time we have had to charge a guest for damage.

Highly recommended chalet in beautiful location

We have just returned from a week to remember staying at Chalet Bon Bon, a dream holiday home in Thollon les Memises.

There was a warm welcome from the friendly managing agents when we arrived and the wine waiting for us was a lovely gesture.

The chalet was plenty big enough for six adults to relax after a long day skiing, with room for two more going spare. The well equipped kitchen facilities and close proximity to the supermarket made self-catering a breeze. The decor, furniture and overall feel of the chalet was very modern yet cosy with the underfloor heating and faux fur throws.

In terms of location, the chalet is within walking distance of the ski lift, supermarket and restaurants and the views overlooking the lake were breathtaking.

A couple of things that the owner may wish to consider would be extra mats by the main entrance so that the wooden floors are protected, also some sort of heater in the cupboard would be good for drying out boots after a day on the slopes. Minor points which didn't detract from an overall excellent stay.

We would love to stay at Chalet Bon Bon if we visited Thollon les Memises in future and would recommend a stay to our friends and family.

Chalet conforme à la description

L' endroit est calme et très reposant ! il convient très bien pour des personnes qui aiment cela.

Le vélo classique est à oublier ! Impossible dans les chemins de montagne !

Hélàs, beaucoup trop loin du lac, la voiture est indispensable.

Nous pensions pouvoir nous y rendre à pied ( plus de 2h30 de marche !)

Dans le cas présent, pas adapter à mon état physique.

Concernant le chalet, juste un micro onde en plus? le reste est bien.
