Great location!

We have stayed at Destin West on several occasions, but this was our first time on the gulf side. We truly enjoyed being so close to the beach and right off the pool! Would definitely recommend!! The beach umbrella/chairs for the week is an added bonus - as that is a large savings! Property managers allowed us in an hour early, checked on us during the week and were very friendly and helpful!

The location of this unit was great! Having a patio with a lot of room was wonderful when entertaining guests. I would stay at this property again.

Frustrated

Before I booked this condo, I called to make sure the pool just outside the patio would be heated. The lady I talked to said it would be heated through march - we were going for spring break, so you can never count on warm weather. This pool was like ice water! The entire stay! There was a warm pool on site and more on the bay side, but I specifically booked this counting on the big pool being heated. Disappointed! The pullout couch was Awful!! All you could feel were the bars.. we called the office after the first night and they said a new couch was coming. They brought a twin inflatable mattress - which was great. But now we have a mattress for the 6 of us to get around in a small condo. Again Disappointed. The urine ring around the base of the toiled was unacceptable & so were the boogies that I had to wipe from the bathroom door frame. Bottom line - my booking counted on the heated pool. I would’ve booked bay side or at another property had I not been Assured it was heated. Hopefully the new couch comes before anyone else books this condo

Nice property, but needs attention.

Location of property is ideal, beach and pool access were great. Quick drive to Destin. Per the property management company, they are going to update/replace furniture….which is needed. We would stay agin if they update the unit.

Fort Walton Beach condo

The office management folks are terrific at Destin West(Thanks, Jodie!). The location to the beach is perfect. We were in a pool-side unit, but we were disappointed that the pool in front of our unit wasn't heated. We were also disappointed in that many activities in the area were closed until April or May. This is not a place to be January-February. The furnishings in this unit were awful- very worn, uncomfortable, and dated. The bunk beds are like a cot. Only a young child could sleep comfortably on it. We would not recommend this unit unless it was brought up to a quality one would expect for that price.
