Delightful renovated cottage 3 bedroom /2 bath + large cozy loft

Relax and get lost in yourself by lounging in the hammock on the front deck of this whimsical Key West style waterfront bungalow, situated in the heart of Pass-a-grille's historic district.

The comfortable cottage and cozy loft has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Just bring a toothbrush!

Pass-a-grille is a charming Florida Community of days past. We are perfectly located in the heart of Pass-a-grille, right next to 8th Ave. which is the 'hub' of this quiet spot.

We take great care to make sure you have all the comforts needed to make a vacation a memorable experience. We're fortunate enough to have acquired many repeat guests, we're starting to feel like a huge extended family!

Continually being updated, the cottage has 2 decks - one that looks at Boca Ciega Bay and a second intimate, secluded, covered porch between home and the garage (loft). A privacy fence surrounds the home. A red aluminum roof makes the cottage quickly identifiable! Original wood floors, a totally remodeled and updated kitchen, romantic fireplace, ceiling fans, central air, cabana striped awnings, bright tropical artwork and furnishings complete the charm of old Florida living with contemporary amenities. This is our personal guest house for our friends and family when they come visit, so we make sure it never starts looking 'tired'.

Our improvement for 2012 was a complete kitchen remodel. The 2013 improvement was adding Hardie Board siding and a color change! Our 2014/15 project is adding Pass-a-Grille's Sunset Charmer 3bdr /2ba and Pass-a-grille's Mini Charmer 1bdr /1ba to the mix.

Because we are one of the original Pass-a-grille Cottages we have a bit of a rambling, add-on, footprint. The cottage sleeps 5, 1 queen, 1 full, 1 twin. It is 2 bdroom/2 bath and a small Florida room, with 1 twin bed, which can be closed off from the rest of the cottage. Additionally, the loft sleeps 4. It is an upstairs/downstairs with kitchenette configuration. 2 twins on top level, 1 full bed on bottom floor.

Tom and I love to travel, our preferred way to lodge is at VRBO properties. We still like B &B's, Inns and fancy hotels! For some reason it always seems like we land on an island. We have 2 labs (a silver lab and a charcoal lab) that we adore.

Empty nesters with 4 adult children living from Tampa to JAX to LA AND 4 grandchildren who we can't see often enough.

Tom is considering retirement and I just love a new project!

The Waterfront Charmer is located in the perfect spot, next to 8th Avenue, with the

few businesses and restaurants right on the same square block. The Merry Pier is fascinating at any hour of the day since there is always something going on. Pass-a-grille is a step back in time, hidden in a bustling area. It is a true old school neighborhood. The beaches are pristine.

What makes this cottage unique

The WaterfrontCharmer is so incredibly close to the beach! We can watch the happenings at the Merry Pier across the street, watch the pelicans groom themselves on the old pilings, watch dolphin, birds and fishermen from our lifeguard chairs on the front deck. The Gulf of Mexico is a short 2 blocks from our back door. Pass-a-grille is the greatest place to walk your dogs or just to take a walk. After the beach gets boring the sights along the sidewalk are entertaining; old homes, renovated homes and new ones. We are right next to 8th Ave, the historic street, with fun beachy shopping, not the typical tourist stuff. Action, but not too much. Nice place to relax and slow the pace. When you want action, go north of the Loew's Don CeSar Hotel and the action begins!!

Perfect little getaway!

Our family loved staying here. The location was perfect and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. I already miss sitting on the front porch reading and watching the water or just laying in the hammock.

Our Favorite Place

This is our third year at the Waterfront Charmer with our grandson who loves to fish from the Merry Pier right in front of the cottage. We love the location and charm of the cottage! Last year we went on the Miss Pass a Grill for deep sea fishing and this year we went on the Offshore Hustler. On both occasions we took our catch to our favorite restaurant Sea Critters where they prepared our fish for us. Pat is so gracious and accommodating and sees to your every need. Thanks again for a lovely visit!

Amazing

My family just spent the most amazing week at the waterfront charmer. My wife and I have been coming to the St Pete beach area for years and had always stayed in the Don Caesar beach suites. Last year we rented a house in pass a grille on 12th Ave it was very nice . This year we wanted to share this great beach community with our adult children ages 20-24 . We have used vrbo from coast to coast and searched for a house that would accommodate 5 Big kids and two parents. We settled on the waterfront charmer. Having been familiar with the area I had a few small concerns such as the house is in a more public area . This turned out to be completely unfounded I was worried that the front porch ( the main outdoor area) wouldn't be private enough . The porch is pretty much hidden from the street with beautiful palm trees and Florida foliage . I wasn't sure about the lifeguard chairs either which turned out to be my favorite spot you can see the bay perfectly and they are super comfortable complete with drink holders. The kids loved the hammock there was always someone swinging and chilling . There is a restaurant and store on either side which also turned out to be a plus, the restaurant is breakfast and lunch so that crowd ends early and the kids said the food was great the little store sells unique beach items so it's very chill. We never had to worry about being loud or having people keeping us awake. The house it's self was set up perfectly for our needs. We took the master which is street side there is another room that opens to a little courtyard . The loft area is actually like its own apartment this is where we stuck the two boys both over 6 feet . You can totally standup in the loft and the ac worked great. My daughter used the daybed and closed of that room at night. The kids could hangout in the courtyard at night and we never heard them. As I said in the beginning we have rented a lot of homes across the country but I have never had a house so fully equipped Pat has thought of everything from spices to aloe lotion great knives silverware ect ect. The house was also decorated beautifully in Florida beach theme everyday I would notice some cool little thing I hadn't seen before. It was the most comfortable home without being gaudy or over decorated. The best part of the house is the location come out the front door and watch the sunrise out the back door and you are maybe 100 yards to the beach for ocean fun and sunsets. What a great place!

We had a great experience here - Pat is an excellent, attentive and caring host. The house is well-equipped with everything you might need for a day at the beach, an afternoon reading in the hammock, a movie on the couch, a good night's sleep, a bbq with friends, or a game night with the family. The location is perfect - if you don't know Pass-a-Grille, you must! It's a quiet, non-commercialized town with interesting shops and a great vegan eatery (there's a pizza place, too). The town is very walk-able, and the cottage is perfectly situated between two beautiful stretches of water. I have no complaints about our stay, and will return at the first opportunity I get.

Lovely home across from the water. Beautifully decorated in key west decor. The owner was wonderful. Lots or room. We love this area and walked every day along the beach and walked to all the great local restaurants. Thank you Pat!

The loft consists of a top floor and bottom floor. It has a partial kitchen, sink, microwave, cupboards. The bathroom for loft is 3 giant steps though back covered porch to cottage bath entrance. The loft has 2 twin beds, 1 TV on top floor and 1 full bed on bottom floor. It is all open with no division between sleeping spaces.
