Delightful renovated cottage 3 bedroom /2 bath + large cozy open loft

Key West style waterfront bungalow, situated in the heart of Pass-a-grille's historic district. Across from the Merry Pier and next to the Seahorse Restaurant.

The comfortable cottage and cozy loft has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Just bring a toothbrush!

Pass-a-grille is a charming Florida Community of days past. Located on the southernmost tip of St Pete Beach. Near Tampa, St Petersburg, Anna Maria Island and Egmont Key. The Waterfront Charmer is perfectly located in the heart of Pass-a-grille, right next to 8th Ave. which is the 'hub' of this quiet spot.

We take great care to make sure you have all the comforts needed to make a vacation a memorable experience. We're fortunate enough to have acquired many repeat guests, we're starting to feel like a huge extended family!

A red aluminum roof makes the cottage quickly identifiable! The cabana striped awnings, bright tropical artwork and furnishings complete the charm of old Florida living with contemporary amenities. Cottage has 2 decks - one that looks at Boca Ciega Bay and a second intimate, secluded, covered porch between home and the garage (loft). A privacy fence on both sides of the home. Old oak wood floors, a totally remodeled and updated kitchen, romantic fireplace, ceiling fans, central air, This is our personal guest house for our friends and family when they come visit, so we make sure it never starts looking 'tired'.

Late 2017 we completed a large remodel of both bathrooms, they still have the old cottage look but are totally new! The laundry area is now located in the bottom floor of loft with full sized stacked front load washer and dryer. Installed a new AC for the loft area, and in June 2018 we installed a new AC in the cottage.

Since we are one of the original Pass-a-grille Cottages, we have a bit of a rambling, add-on, footprint. The cottage sleeps 6, 1 queen, 1 full, 2 twins. It is 2 bdroom/2 bath and a small Florida room, with 1 twin bed & 1 twin trundle, which can be closed off from the rest of the cottage. Additionally, the loft sleeps 4. The loft is a upstairs/downstairs with a remodeled laundry center on bottom floor and 2 twins on top level, 1 full bed on bottom floor.

We are empty nesters with 4 adult children living from Tampa to JAX to the FL Keys and LA. We have 4 grandchildren who we can't see often enough.

We love animals and have 2 labs (a silver lab and a charcoal lab) which we adore.

In May 2018, we sold our 2 other rental properties in Pass-a-grille - The Sunset Charmer and Treehouse Charmer.

Why Patricia Black (Pat) chose Pass-a-grille

Living in Tampa with a hectic life and a melded family, we

purchased the cottage in 2001 as a weekend getaway. Our weekends got longer and longer so we decided to take the leap and move from Tampa to St Pete Beach. We purchased from the owners of the Seahorse Restaurant which is where they raised their family.

We started renting when a friend's nephew, from New Orleans, was scrambling to find a place to relocate right after Hurricane Katrina. We reached out and offered the cottage until they could get back on their feet. They arrived with their pup and their possessions.

The Waterfront Charmer is located in the perfect spot, next to the two block long 8th Ave.- our Historical Shopping District. Boutiques and restaurants on the same square block. Immediately across the street, the Merry Pier, is fascinating at any hour of the day - there is always something going on. Pass-a-grille is a step back in time, one of Florida's best kept secrets. The beaches are pristine.

What makes this cottage unique

The WaterfrontCharmer is so incredibly close to the beach! The Gulf of Mexico is a short 2 blocks from our back door. Or you can sit on the front deck in the lifeguard chairs overlooking Boca Ciega Bay and watch the action. The Merry Pier across the stree is always hopping., You can watch the pelicans groom themselves on the old pilings, or watch dolphin, birds and fishermen. This southern end of Pass-a-grille is the best place to take a stroll and is the best place EVER to walk you dog.

After the beach gets boring, the sights along the sidewalk are entertaining; old homes, renovated homes and new ones. We are located right next to 8th Ave, the historic street, with fun beachy shopping, not the typical tourist stuff. Action, but not too much. Nice place to relax and slow the pace. When you want action, go north of the Don CeSar Hotel and the action begins!

One twin daybed in the Florida room, which can be shut off from rest of home. The Loft consists of an upstairs and downstairs both with no privacy. Upper floor of loft has 2 twin mattresses and lower loft has a full sized bed. New high thread count bed linens, RL and/or fine linens, towels, beach towels and pillows. Pillows, euro pillows, some blankets and or comfortors are all down. The home has a sound machine, clocks, and a hotel safe for your valuables.

Absolutely Perfect

If I could give this home and Pat Black 6 stars I would. Pat is a fantastic host and has literally thought of everything her guests might need. Everything we needed to cook during our stay was in the kitchen, the laundry room and bathrooms were well stocked, all of the noodles, floats, towels, and even a wagon to carry it all to the beach are provided. She told me to pack light- she was right, she even has beach hats and beach bags! The house was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. Pat greeted us when we arrived with fresh Mango bread from the trees in her yard and had it waiting for us along with wine, water bottles, and orange juice. She even shared the recipe with me. My husband and I along with our 4 teenage children had plenty of space and never felt cramped in this home. The layout is just right for a family our size. I will never willingly stay at another home in Pass-a-Gille!

Charming, convenient and very well stocked!

Our family of five plus grandma & grandpa had a wonderful time at the Waterfront Charmer! The proximity to the beach, Merry Pier and great restaurants made this a super convenient location. The house itself was really well stocked with beach gear, kitchen supplies and loads of info on things to do. The house had lots of sleeping options which was fun for our three kids to pick from. Beds were comfortable and the newly remodeled bathrooms were lovely. Pat is the ultimate hostess welcoming us with juice and muffins! Great home base for a fun family beach vacation-thanks Pat and Tom!!!

Perfect house, amazing location, everything you might need!

My family, including our doggie Sheldon, just spent a fantastic week at Waterfront Charmer. We have rented lots of vacation homes and WCH was, by far, the best stocked home we have ever stayed at. The home is beautifully decorated and located close to everything. We arrived to a stocked fridge, bottle of wine, and muffins! Pat is wonderful and her passion for her home and Pass-A-Grille is evident. Seriously, just pack your swimsuit and come on down!

Our Favorite Vacation Spot

This is our second stay at the Waterfront Charmer. We are only a family of 3 but you can't beat the location and the house is adorable. It is across from the Merry Pier and close to the beach. Pat does a wonderful job making sure everything is going smooth during your stay. This is always the first place we check when we are planning a trip to Pass-A-Grille.

The loft consists of a top floor and bottom floor. We have renovated the laundry center and relocated it to the bottom floor of the loft. The bathroom for loft is 3 giant steps though back covered porch to cottage bath. The loft has 2 twin beds, 1 TV on top floor and 1 full bed on bottom floor. It is all open with no division between sleeping spaces.
