About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

This sizable cozy home gazes at the Pacific Ocean and is just a stone throw away from the local sandy beach. The hypnotic sounds of the ocean waves crashing, the salty beach air, a curious sea otter poking his head out of the water, this and more all observed from this beautiful four bedroom two bath home.

Three of the four bedrooms and the living quarters provide beautiful views of the ocean. Snuggling by the fireplace and gazing through the spacious windows that offer you an inspiring panoramic view of the ocean and with some luck you may get a glimpse of the majestic pod of Great White Whales that live in this area.

Stepping out to the sundeck and smelling the salty ocean breeze and hearing the roar of the waves with the only concern of which chair you should relax in.....

This home is nestled in Newport and is just minutes away from the Historical Nye Beach, bay front shopping and adored restaurants, all of this and more waiting for you to experience.

Why Richard Savicky chose Newport

We have found that Newport has a small town feel but plenty of things to do, stroll the bayfront, or the beach, go crabbing, hiking, golfing and numerous places to eat.

What makes this house unique

There is plenty of room in our great room for our family and friends to hang out and visit while viewing the beach and boats coming and going from the historic bayfront.

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay at!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived in NEWPORT for a quick get away weekend at Rich's beach house. We have been staying at this lovely home at least once every year for the past ten years!

When we arrive the home is always clean & ready for us. The kitchen is easy to maneuver and has all the appliances necessary

There's simply nothing that fits us better for our family:)

Hanging out at the fire pit at the end of the night with family is one of my favs! Great memories!

The king beds are so comfortable and the rooms are large. With it being a ranch style home, we have plenty of room to spread out!

Rich's beach house has become a home away from home for us!

Amazing Location & Views in the Heart of the City!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Mr. Savicky's lovely Oceanfront home, minutes from Downtown and Nye Beach! The views were breath taking and the outside seating area, with the fire pit, was enjoyable for everyone! The house is single level and had great separation of space for everyone. Walls of windows to experience the view from inside too! Nicely appointed kitchen, great sound system, reliable internet, and very clean! Thank you Richard for being so helpful and resourceful when we had questions about Newport! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home!

Incredible view

  • 4 of 5

The only reason for four stars is there are a few renovations that need to be done. The owner is working on those. The kitchen is well stocked, beds are very comfortable, sheets are amazing. One of our party was going to check the name on the mattress he was sleeping on so he could get one. Unfortunately he forgot. And the view is incredible. The house was clean. Yes I would recommend this home and yes I would rent it again. The owner was outstanding.

Oceanfront Dream

  • 5 of 5

We arrived at the oceanfront home in the afternoon. WOW the place is BIG. More then enough room for us two couples, even two families. The view is to die for and just what we were looking for. Meet the owner, very nice people. The house was well furnished and we had everything we ever needed. Sat outside all afternoon and into the evening. Had dinner out on the deck watching the ocean. This is also the place to watch the Sun set into the Pacific Ocean and mother nature put on a show for us that evening. We had a fire in the outdoor fire pit well in to evening. We had intentions on using the hot tub but we were enjoying the fire so much that everyone gave in on the hot tub idea and we just opened another bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir and watched the fire. While we were two adult couples this place would be great for kids as well. Plenty of room for them to spread out and get away from the adults if that is what you are looking for.

Newport is a great little seaport town along Oregon west coast. Super boardwalk, it is just around the corner from the house, with plenty of shops and eateries. Don't forget the California Sea lions a long the boardwalk, they always put on a great show as they jockey for a place to lay down and take in the sun.

Outstanding great place for a long weekend or a week. We had a wonderful time there and would return again and again.

Nice Enough

  • 3 of 5

The house itself was a bit outdated with old towels, worn rugs and tired decor. The house had a lot of big beds which were fairly comfortable but no table that could accommodate 8 people. The arrangement of the furniture could have been better by making the front living room into a dining room with a big table and arranging the furniture in the living room to face the view. The view was gorgeous and the outside deck and fire pit were very nice. The hot tub was a good for a hot soak but not all of the jets functioned. The kitchen had newer appliances and plenty of cookware but only six forks. The bathrooms were dark because of burnt out or missing bulbs and one bathtub had a big burnt area in it. The water pressure was good.

Access to the amenities in New Port was very convenient but access to the beach was a long walk with little children and equipment.

It was very nice that we could bring our dog. We had a fun weekend all in all.

Owner's Response: Hi Dawn Thank you for bringing these items to my attention! The summer months are busy with back to back bookings. it is hard to keep up with all the little details. the slow season is when I catch up on repairs and maintenance. Since your last stay I have replaced linens, furniture, woking on a new dining set, and 2 new bath remodels this winter. I hope you come back to visit and see the new improvements. Sincerely Richard Savicky

Needs work

  • 2 of 5

We've stayed in Newport every year for the past 10 years, and are somewhat familiar with similarly sized/priced houses in the area. For this price point, this house did not meet our expectations as far as safety, privacy, cleanliness or function. We're somewhat shocked by the other reviews being so fantastic, as our experience was so different, almost to the point that we felt a refund would not have been out of order. While we all agreed the patio and view was incredible, the beds comfortable, and the TV room furniture pretty comfortable for a rental house, the rest of the house needs so much work, that the pluses did not outweigh the negatives. We will not be back.

Owner's Response: Thank you Carmen for your review! Improvements that have been made include new windows, a new front door with a new lock, new furniture, and in addition I have blocked out time for bathroom renovations.
