Bophut is a beach village which has been able to retain both its beauty and its authenticity while moving into the future, creating the ideal setting for your escape into paradise. Not only does it feature the island’s traditional Thai-Chinese culture, but it also provides plenty of opportunities for relaxation, pampering, and true luxury – there’s nowhere else like it on earth, and whether it’s your first time on Koh Samui or you’re returning again to this Thai eden, you’ll fall in love with Bophut’s endless charms. Our villa rental is located in Bophut Hills, putting you in the perfect place to discover this amazing village. The heart of Bophut is its beach, which stretches out over 2km of warm white-sand beaches which lead down to the ocean: the clear water shimmers sapphire under the heat of the tropical sun, inviting you to dive in after you warm yourself playing and relaxing on the shore. Jet ski rentals and diving lessons are also available if you’d like to take to the waves!
Bophut’s traditional center, the Fisherman’s Village, is only a five minute drive from the villa. Located to the east of Bophut’s main beach, the Fisherman’s Village is the place to visit if you want to immerse yourself in the fascinating culture of the island. This idyllic setting features traditional homes and businesses, and has been carefully maintained to make it an ideal stop for families and couples in search of history and romance. The Friday Walking Market also sets up shop once a week, offering delicious food and beautiful items, while live music provides a festival feel.
When you’re ready to take a break from the beach and the village, Bophut offers much more as well. Attractions like the go-cart track are a great way to work up an appetite for your reservation at one of the village’s luxury restaurants, and the talented aestheticians throughout the village are always ready to help you relax with a famous Thai massage or simply a fantastic manicure. Our Bophut villa rental is only minutes away from the best that this perfect village has to offer, and we know you’ll be making the most of your holiday here in paradise.
Koh Samui itself is well worth exploring once you’ve discovered Bophut, with plenty of attractions no matter what you’re looking for from your holiday. Lush tropical rainforests cloak the island’s granite slopes, fruit trees sway heavy with their bounty, and coconut palms provide much-needed shade on the clear beaches. If you’re in search of the island’s history, the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui and Wat Phra Yai temples are beautiful and serene destinations. These Buddhist temples (the latter with an amazing 15m tall Buddha statue) highlight that the island’s population is 90% Buddhist, and offer insight into the area’s culture.
If you prefer the nightlife, Chaweng is the most popular place to be! Only a fifteen to twenty minute drive from our Bophut villa, this is the most popular (and crowded) region of the island. It has plenty of shopping opportunities and a fantastic, busy beach in addition to the clubs and bars, but it really comes alive at night with revelers looking to have the time of their life.
Golf lovers will appreciate Koh Samui’s three fantastic courses, each well worth a visit; bring your own clubs or rent a set, but be sure to mark off at least one day for strolling through the beautiful grounds and working on your swing. Elsewhere on the island you’ll find everything from elephant tours through rainforest, to a butterfly museum, to the famous and mysterious Grandfather and Grandmother rocks. No matter how you choose to spend your trip here on Koh Samui, we know our Balinese villa in Bophut will be somewhere you’re grateful to return to each night for some well-deserved relaxation.
