About the property

Accommodation for four guests in two bedroooms with a family bathroom.

Situated a short walk from Dovedale Woods, Beckwood is a converted 17th century silk mill providing accommodation over four floors. The enchanting garden has a mill stream bubbling through it, sun deck and lawn shaded by attractive apple trees.

Blockley is a delightful golden stone village, situated in the rolling hills of the North Cotswolds between Moreton-in-Marsh with direct rail links to London Paddington. The village has a unique collection of buildings reflecting its past glory of mills and silk production. It is a peaceful, charming village with a friendly community, centred round the café and well stocked shop.

There are an abundance of walks over the beautiful countryside. There are two pubs within walking distance (including the Great Western Arms), interesting shops and a variety of restaurants in the nearby villages and towns. A highly recommended pub is The Plough in Stretton-on-Fosse, a 10 minute drive.

There are plenty of walks across marvellous countryside, many direct from the front door. The Diamond Way, the Heart of England Way and the Monarch Way all pass through Blockley and will take you through the fields to Broad Campden, Chipping Campden, Batsford Arboretum, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Hill, Longborough and elsewhere. Short drives open up more walking opportunities. For example, Dover's Hill near Chipping Campden has wonderful views over the Vale of Evesham and you can take the Cotswold Way from there to Broadway Tower.
