The apartment recently renovated, is very bright and quiet, and all the windows you can have a beautiful view of Piazzale Michelangelo and San Miniato al Monte, one of Italy's most beautiful church.
E 'consists of a large living room, dining room, small kitchen with dishwasher, bedroom for 2 people with bathroom, utility room, a large open loft on the living room with a single bed and a second bathroom with washing machine (the loft reaches 'maximum height of 1.80 meters).
The apartment is about 70 square meters (755 square feet) and is elegantly furnished and well equipped. It is located on the fourth floor of a beautiful medieval building with elevator. It can accommodate up to five people, two in the master bedroom, two in the comfortable sofa bed in the living room and one in the loft. The kitchen has everything, a gas stove with four burners, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
The apartment also has air conditioning (8 euro per day extra if required), Internet WI-FI, TV, washing machine, safe, iron and ironing board, fans and central heating.
Alessandra's apartment fit our needs to a T! It is spacious for two people, and the pictures don't lie. The views of San Miniato and Pzle Michelangelo are wonderful. It has a dishwasher and washing machine, which came handy during our 3 week stay.
The neighborhood is located on the south side of the Arno, and has a mix of locals and tourists passing through. Excellent options for eating are just around the corner.
We could not have asked for more, and Alessandra was very helpful with getting us settled in. Highly recommended!
Given that Florence is an amazing place to visit, we decided that we wanted an equally amazing place to stay. After all, we were going to be there for three weeks. Well, we got what we had hoped for! Comfortable, convenient, easy to move around from, this property had it all. Alessandra, the owner, was wonderful to work with; her accommodating style fit in perfectly with our busy schedule. The apartment was outfitted with everything we needed in the way of comfort and comprehensiveness. When we wanted to cook our own meal, the kitchen was up to it; when we wanted to eat out, the neighborhood was up to it.
Oh, I have to also mention the view. The views out of the living room, the dining room, and the bedroom are spectacular. You have a bird's-eyeview of Piazza Michaelangelo rising on the hill just a short ways away. In the morning, the sunrise over the Piazza is breathtaking. Just the view alone makes it worth going to Florence.
This was our dream vacation, made even better than we had hoped for because the place where we stayed met our every need. What a wonderful place!
We loved the location of this apartment & it's convenience to everything. The views of the city were spectacular! The upstairs loft was a sweet space but a little tight for our party of three adults.
Three of us spent 6 nights in this bright and clean little apartment. The loft worked well for our 18 year old daughter but would work much better for a shorter person as it is not full height to stand up. I am 5'2" and had to bend my head a bit. It is more ideal for a younger child but our daughter didn't complain as she only slept there because we spent most of our time exploring the lovely city of Florence. We were within easy walking distance of everything and we loved the little neighbourhood in which the apartment is situated. Our host met us upon arrival to go over things and had a book prepared of things to do and places to eat which was very nice. She provided us with maps and attraction pamphlets as well. We didn't eat in the apartment but the accommodations would have easily worked for preparing food and eating in. There is a nice grocery store a short walk away which was handy. Our host also helped us obtain a very reasonable rate for a parking space in a garage nearby so that we could make day trips out when we wanted. There is a small elevator in the building which was handy when we had walked all day and needed to go up 5 levels to the apartment. We often had gelato around the corner and ate at Gecko down the street and we were greeted in a very friendly manner at both establishments. We would recommend the apartment for location although getting to it by car to drop off luggage is a bit of a challenge without the aid of a GPS with all the one way streets in the area. Although it is in the city it is quiet and the main room is spacious. We were comfortable although I found the bed a little hard for my liking but my husband didn't feel the same way. There is very ample closet space for such a small apartment which is great for longer stays. We used the air conditioner as it was hot in July and we found the system worked very well indeed. The wifi was very reliable which was important to us during our stay. The only odd thing we experience was we always noticed a bit of a musty smell when we entered the apartment but it didn't seem to bother us once we were settled in. We put it down to being an old building as all buildings are in that part of the city. We would recommend the apartment for 3 people. It was sunny in the mornings and otherwise cozy and comfortable.
From the moment we arrived at the apartment, Alessandra made us feel welcome.
She helped us settle in, show us around the apartment and how everything thing works.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you need.
It's the perfect home away from home. The location is great, you have restaurants,
supermarket, shops near by. Walking distance to the center of town.
We highly recommend this apartment. We had a great time in Florence.
Mercedes and family
We really loved staying here. Great location just a short 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Florence. Apartment pictures are accurate with a beautiful view, comfortable bedroom, living room and kitchen. We went during the summer and the air conditioning (for extra fee) worked amazing. We had two other friends with us and although the loft was more for smaller people it was still comfortable for one. The owners were very helpful and we would definitely stay there again when we are back to Florence.
The apartment is in the historic center of Florence. With a short walk to all the attractions of our beautiful city. To give you an idea from your apartment in 5 minutes you can walk to the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, while in 15 minutes Piazza del Duomo and the Holy Spirit.
The neighborhood of San Niccolò is located in the area called 'Oltrarno', known as the District of Artisans and antiquarians.
St. Nicholas is a charming small square with a beautiful church. Here is lined with cafes and restaurants where you can sit (even outdoors if the weather permits ..) and taste the typical products of our kitchen.
Porta San Miniato you to the Piazzale Michelangelo and Forte Belvedere.
In May, do not miss the old Rose Garden.
San Niccolò with its charm with its colors and its atmosphere will steal your heart!
