The apartment is new to the market and is directly managed by the owners who live close by in La Zenia. It has been totally made over for the new 2018 season to a very high standard. This penthouse apartment will comfortably sleep 4 guests with a king-size bed in the main bedroom and 2 full size single beds in the 2nd bedroom. A cot is also available and this needs to be pre-booked at the time of reservation. Modern bedding, furniture and décor are all featured in the apartment which is presented to the market in tip top condition. There is a good sized south facing balcony off the main living area. This can accommodate both full sized sun loungers and Al Fresco dining facilities for up to 6 people. The main living area features a 3 seater sofa, a matching 2 seater sofa and a foot stool for when you want to relax and put your feet up. Ceiling fans are provided to all of the main rooms. The high level high output air conditioning unit is positioned to supply either hot or cold air to the main living area and both bedrooms. The bedrooms both have fitted wardrobes and ample storage shelves for clothing and footwear. Media facilities include free satellite TV, providing all UK channels, DVD player, and local radio stations via a good quality stereo system. For the benefit of our guests, fibre optic high speed broadband and free WiFi is installed. All rooms have security locks & external grills for your safety and comfort. The apartment is totally south facing so will catch the Spanish sun for most of the day. Their is a retractable sun canopy on the balcony and this can be used when you require some respite from the hot Costa Blanca sun. If we are feeling lazy we tend to put 2/3 sun loungers onto the balcony and enjoy private sun bathing with all of the apartment facilities directly next to us. The views from the balcony are totally open unlike other apartments on the north facing block to the rear of our south facing one. Our block is the only one served by lifts so that when you are bringing your food and drink back from the local shops, you haven't got to stagger up 6 flights of stairs in the hot Costa Blanca sun.

There is a fully equipped and modern kitchen providing oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, toaster, kettle and ample storage space for food and drink. Off the kitchen there is a fully enclosed and secure galleria to provide storage for sun loungers, beach chairs and anything else not required in the apartment. All cooking utensils, cutlery, pottery, pans and food preparation equipment is provided.

The 4 piece fully tiled bathroom includes a bath with shower, toilet, bidet and hand basin with a storage cupboard for all toiletries likely to be required during your visit.

The private roof top solarium provides more than sufficient space for secluded sun bathing and the views from here are absolutely stunning. It really is a pleasant place to be with a cold drink on a warm evening. There is a secure storage area so that you don't have to carry everything up the stairs from the apartment. Sun loungers, table, chairs and parasol are all provided but you do need to provide your own high factor sun tan lotion because the solarium is a perfect sun trap and you will definitely need protection!

Plenty of towels for shower use in the apartment are provided, but please could you ensure that bring your own beach towels with you for your stay. Fresh bed linen will be in the apartment and clothes/ linen drying facilities are also provided should you need to use the washing machine during the course of your stay.

Regrettably we do not accept bookings from same sex groups so cannot help with stag parties, hen parties and other similar outings. Our apartment is strictly No Smoking. Whilst there is No Smoking inside the apartment, smoking on the solarium and on the balcony ( as long as the patio doors are closed), is fine.

Our normal change over day is Saturday but we are aware that some of the airlines have flights to the local airports on different days of the week. The HomeAway website doesn't allow us to make allowances for this. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require arrival/departures on other days of the week. Similarly we do give discounts for stays longer than two weeks but once again please contact us for information on rates and availability for the dates you require.

Payment of your security deposit and cleaning fee will need to be made at the time the apartment keys are handed over to you.

Key hand-overs are available between 14.30pm & 8pm and any times outside of these hours may still be possible but a surcharge of 20€ will apply.

The latest check out time on the day of departure is no later than 10.30am and the earliest check in time is 14.30pm on the day of your arrival. This is to give us the time to thoroughly clean the property before the next guests arrive. Please contact us if your arrival and departure times are outside of these limits as we may be able to flexible if we have no incoming or outgoing guests either side of your booking.

Please contact us if you will need transportation to and from the airports at either Murcia or Alicante.

Please note that any advertised facilities that are not within our direct control are not guaranteed to be available. This includes but is not limited to the lifts, the swimming pool, satellite TV service and electricity/water supply. Anything within our control, inside the apartment is available as described unless otherwise detailed.

A long term winter bookings are available but are not shown on the rates/dates list. Please contact us for a rate on the dates that you require as good discounts are available for holidays of more than one month throughout the winter period.

About Ken & Carol

We have owned this property for five years and initially used it as our holiday home. Now that we have retired, we decided that we still wished to live in the La Zenia area so we bought a house for us to live in and ensured that it was also big enough to accommodate all of the friends and family that come a visiting! Our apartment is therefore available to both summer and winter holiday guests and just like La Zenia, remains open for the whole year.

If you need any assistance during the course of your stay, we are only a phone call away and can respond in person very quickly as required. Our nationality is English and we are pleased to accept bookings from all nationality's.

Why Ken & Carol chose Orihuela

We chose to buy in La Zenia because it gave us the choice of flying to Alicante or Murcia airports. Both are only a short distance away and once in La Zenia, we really didn't wish to have to drive anywhere to obtain all of the facilities required during our stay. Everything here is readily to hand and the recently opened La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre is a must see for all visitors to the area. Once here, you do not need a car as everything is literally on your door step and check out our reviews from people that know because they have been before and found out for themselves.

What makes this apartment unique

Because our penthouse apartment is on the south facing side of the southern block of apartments, it really is a beautiful sun trap. However, because all of the restaurants, bars and shops are to the northern face of Molino Blanco, our apartment is very peaceful and relaxing. Everything you require is only a short stroll away and this includes the inimitable Paddy's Point bar! The private pool for owners and their guests has a separate, shallow area for young children. It is heated by solar panels at the start and end of the season and is maintained on a daily basis by Molino Blanco pool staff. During the peak summer months, pool safety is enhanced by the provision of a life guard who will also ensure that the pool area safety rules are complied with. Free parking is provided directly outside the main entrance to Molino Blanco and wheelchair access is good. If you need a wheel chair but cannot bring one with you, they can be rented from Zenia Mar just outside of Molino Blanco. There really isn't anywhere else that provides everything that you are likely to need and that is why these apartments are so popular. The bonus of the lift to our penthouse makes access especially easy and the views to the sea and across La Zenia are beautiful

We had a wonderful time at Molino Blanca. The apt. was very clean, with everything you required, just like at home. The balcony was ample for 2 to sunbathe on and the sun roof is large enough for a family.

Ken and Carol were great and very informative about the local area.

Restaurants, bars, supermarkets, a lovely beach and shop till you drop in La Zenia Boulevard, their just a stroll away.

German, Italian, Asian, Chinese, Indian, Spanish,and English restaurants are all within 10 mins. walk away.

We came home totally chilled out and will most definately be booking again.

A wheeled shopping trolley is also provided. This is of a sufficient size to be easily useable but still large enough to move a good selection of shopping from the nearby shopping centre and supermarkets. Direct transfers from the airports at either Murcia or Alicante are available and booking for these is recommended at the same time as your reservation as they are popular!

Very pleased with our stay at the apartment.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the apartment and found it was fully equipped with everything we needed, as we didn't use everything provided. The owners provided a very good professional service and have done a really good job in keeping the apartment to a good standardThe location of the apartment was ideal for shops, restaurants and La Zenia beach. The only slight criticism I have was that the communal pool got very busy quite quickly on most days but I suppose that this has to be expected because of the time of the year.

We had a really lovely time in La Zenia. Ken & Carol's apartment is spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. You will not need for anything in the apartment as you will find everything you may need. The apartment is in an excellent position within easy reach of the beach with its miles of coastal pathways going either direction from La Zenia. There are a number of very good bars and restaurants a few minutes walk away as well as a really good supermarket. The huge Zenia Boulevard shopping centre should be about 10 minutes walk away. Although, if you come across this from another direction other than from the apartment, it is easy to go in the wrong direction so it would be advisable to have a Google named street map to hand until you know the area better. It is also about a 40 minute stroll inland to Villamartin Plaza. Ken & Carol are fantastic hosts and are always on hand should you every need them.

Owner is agressive and rude - Please do not touch

The actual apartment is nice - clean and well decorated. Our flight was delayed and despite keeping the owner informed, it was clear that he was not happy about this, even thought this was completely out of my control. When we arrived at 1am the owner told us that the pool was not open due to there being a crack in it. I didn't want to have a debate about this at the time as my child who has autism was with me and I didn't want to raise his anxiety. Not having a pool did impact on our holiday and I booked this apartment as it had a pool and when I returned to the UK I raised this politely to the owner, where my responses were less than favourable. If I had been told before leaving the UK I could have sorted an alternative apartment and as I wasn't told I wasn't able to do this. I was merely asking for some financial recompense for the fact that the pool wasn't available and I was accused of blackmailing the owner. I have contact the Home and Away team who are looking in to this for me. I would avoid this owner like the plague. Very rude and very aggressive.

The golden Blue Flag sands of La Zenia beach are just a short walk away and for a change of scenery, there are 5 similar beaches within walking distance. In nearby Cabo Roig, there is a marina and harbour with similar facilities also available in nearby Pilar De La Horidada.

In addition to the well renowned Villamartin golf course, there are many others within just 5km and if you intend to play as many rounds as possible, group discounts and multi player reductions are available from the local specialists who offer this service.

Within 500m of the apartment, is the recently opened and extremely prestigious La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre. This offers all of the major high street names together with an extensive range of designer outlets to suit all styles and budgets.

The Zenia Mar restaurant, bar and shop complex is accessed via a short private walkway from Molino Blanco and a further range of hostelries, including the famous Paddy's Point, are all less than 5 minutes walk away. The Consum supermarket that caters for most food and drink requirements is adjacent to Paddy's Point and there are a range of other shops and services all within close walking distance.

If required there is also a chemist, dentist and several banks just a short walk away and because of the close proximity of all these facilities, a car is not required.

The famous Cabo Roig 'strip' is only a 10 minute walk away and here you will find a vast array of bars, restaurants cafe's and shops. The Cabo Roig beaches are sandy and safe and just like La Zenia, there is an 'on beach' bar and cafe for all your refreshment needs. At the end of the strip, there is a Thursday morning market for all of your fresh produce, bric a brac, beach stuff and clothing. This is very popular with both the locals and the tourists. Just beyond the market there is the local health centre which we hope that you won't need during your stay but it's there if you do. There are chemists in abundance in the area including one that is a 'drive through' so making it really easy to collect your prescriptions.
