Lovely Apartment off the Beaten Path

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely, spacious apartment in a quiet neighborhood south of the Vatican. Rebecca was so helpful and was there waiting for us when we arrived! At the bottom of the hill there is a grocery store (Euro Spin) which was very convenient. The apartment is large and the only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because we were unable to get anything other than a tepid bath and the shower went from warm to cold every 3 seconds. I did develop a bob and weave that made it ok. :-) It's a 30+ minute walk to the nearest metro station and 20 minutes to St Peter's Basilica (we are in our 50's and walk at a decent pace) so make sure you take that into consideration if you have made arrangements for tours. We did not use the bus system but there is a pick up about 15 minutes walk from the apartment. It was really nice to be able to come back to a quiet, beautiful apartment and sit on the deck and talk about the day. Rome is extremely bustling and having this oasis to come back to where we could relax and have a glass of wine from the bottle we purchased on the way up to the apartment was perfect!

Very nice clean newly remodeled apartment

  • 5 of 5

We loved the place. We would definitely stay there again. The windows were new with powered screens and blinds. Very nice to open the windows with the screens and let the breeze in at night. It has good air conditioning also. It is a great location in a quiet area a few blocks behind the Vatican. We walked to the Vatican. Rebecca was very helpful. The bathrooms, beds, kitchen and the entire apartment were spotless and very comfortable. 5 stars.

The perfect ending for our amazing trip to Italy.

  • 5 of 5

My wife & I we can't express how grateful & pleased we are for your hospitality and help throughout our entire stay Rebecca.

The apartment is in a very quite neighborhood, close to a super market, bus stop, restaurants and all what you need for your stay. The apartment itself is equipped with whatever you need for your stay wither you were small family as ours (2 adults + 1 child) or for a big family. The apartment is prepared for living not just short stay, you'll be amazed or how lovely it is and how specious and comfortable. The garage was a big plus for us. The kitchen is full equipped+TV, living room with big TV and cable channels, terrace is lovely too.

Rebecca, thank you very much for having us, it was pleasure meeting you. Whenever we are back to Rome, your place would be our only place to stay.

Family of 4 from California

  • 5 of 5

Out of all the vacation rentals I have stayed at over the past 4 years (and out of all the rentals I have stayed in my Italian holiday), Rebecca's apartment has been the most pleasant experience. The photos do not do the place justice. It's even beautiful when you're actually there. Everything is recently remodeled to perfection. There was more than enough room for all of us. The master had it's own bathroom and shower and while the other bathroom had a tub and a hand shower. Fresh, clean sheets and towels and the kitchen had all the utensils you needed to make breakfast every morning if you would prefer it. Wifi never had one single hitch. There is also a washing machine which was necessary since we did get a little wet one rainy day there!

The apartment is about 10 minutes walking to the St Peter's Square. There's plenty of food shopping areas and restaurants in the neighborhood as well with excellent food. I definitely recommend trying the food nearby since the prices are reasonable and it's definitely restaurants that the locals often frequent.

Best of all was Rebecca, she was beyond accommodating to our schedule (we came in pretty late) and as we were leaving her father spotted us walking over to the main road with our bags and offered us a ride to the train station. He did not have to go through such lengths since they were already have done so much for us. I would recommend staying with them to everyone who is looking for a rental in Rome. You will not find another apartment like this one!!

Well kept, spacious, well positioned near Vatican City and great owner!

  • 5 of 5

My family traveled to Italy with six to Italy: Mom, Dad, Grandpa (66yo) and three boys (7, 4, 2). My father's parents are from Italy, so it was a very big deal for us to be seeing the "homeland" for the first time! The apartment is in a really good location walking distance from Vatican City even with the three little ones and Grandpa. We only stayed for 4 days, but even in the short time, we were able to frequent a few coffee shops on the way to our daily tours so it started to feel like a place enjoyed becoming familiar with. A bus stop was literally right down the street and the metro was within a few blocks, but we didn't use the metro bc the busses took us to all of the places in Rome we wanted to see like the the Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum and Roman Forum, etc. we took the bus to all of these locations quite easily after reading the bus map a few times. When it was time to leave, Rebecca called a minivan can for us who took us right in front of the train station that put us on our way to Florence for the second part of our trip. Very convenient and quite affordable.

The apartment itself: well, with this crew of 6, it is impossible for us to stay in hotels for any reasonable price or arrangement. Even hotels with "suites" never have ample space or privacy. This apartment had three bedrooms - two smaller bedrooms and a decently sized master. One of he bedrooms had bunk beds which was great for our two older boys. The rooms aren't huge, but they are certainly enough space to sleep comfortably and without being cramped. This is a "city apartment" that is in the heart of the Vatican Area, so we weren't expecting anytging expansive. That said, the bedrooms were away from each other enough that you felt like there was plenty of privacy. The master had its own bathroom with a shower stall and the second bathroom had a tub with a hand shower as well, both of which were great for the little ones. The living room was quite spacious and nicely decorated with one couch and a few apolstered chairs. Each room had its own little terrace which was great to start the day breathing in the morning air. The kitchen was a traditional galley kitchen with a table that fit all six of us for breakfast.

As for the owner Rebecca, she is great! She speaks perfect English and spent many years living in NY, so she was perfect to speak with about where to go, how to get there, what was worth seeing, what wasn't, etc.,We'd stay again for sure!

Fantastic Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Wow! We were thrilled when we arrived at this apartment because it is so nice. The pictured don't even do it justice. Beautiful custom wood interior with nice decoration and attention to detail. Huge windows overlooking a parklike setting. Spacious and great lighting. Very clean too. We felt like we were in the countryside when we looked out the windows. Very quiet. The owners were helpful and professional, and the apartment is very close to grocery stores.

The apartment is in a regular residential kind of neighborhood (not in a touristy area), but it was very close to the vatican and we walked all over Rome from this location (with our two small children). Great apartment for families.
