Haven on Earth at the Mahler guesthouse is so close to Heaven on Earth. We stayed for four nights and experienced what true hospitality is. The Mahler's have a gift of it. They are attentive to every need and Ruthi is an amazing cook with great attention to quality as she prepares all her dishes from scratch right down to the juice and cooked coffee. AMAZING! The home is perfect for small groups as we hosted a local couple for dinner one evening that we cooked in our rental's kitchen. Every bedroom has its own bathroom and are very comfortable. The upstairs rooms, complete with small kitchenettes, come with a view from their own balconies. The most beautiful attraction of the villa is the patio area that overlooks the whole Sea of Galilee below. It was our groups favorite gathering place in the evening and morning accompanied by coffee, of course!. Access to the whole surrounding area is easy and local shopping is available as well. We will definitely be returning to this Haven on Earth!

We had a great time in Safed, our group's base in exploring the Galilee area. Thanks to Ruthi and her husband Avi for allowing us to stay in her wonderful home! We enjoyer her healthy breakfast and even brought some when we did our day trips exploring the area. Ruthi even allowed us to pick some guavas from her guava tree in the backyard (I love guavas! -- Raul). Most importantly, conversing to local folks like Ruthi and Avi about Israel, its culture and its people allowed us to learn a lot. You cannot do that in hasty, organized tours where everything is in a hurry and does not allow too much interaction with local people, more so since packaged tours make you stay in big-box hotels where your interaction is mostly with you fellow tourists. Thank you very much, Ruthi and Avi.

We stayed with the Mahlers during the week of June 16-23rd 2018. We were a party of 6 ppl. The Mahlers gave us the entire floor that included 4bdrms and a fully equipped kitchen. Each bedroom had its own bathroom which was very important to us.

All the rooms even had an extra bed for a child. The rooms were clean and stocked with extra blankets and pillows.

The outdoor patio has great views, has lots of trees and flowers and we loved spending our mornings enjoying the views and the patio.

Both Ruthi and Avi are great, attentive and responsive hots. They replied to all my questions very quickly and were very helpful when we got there with planning certain activities we wanted to do.

One of our luggages arrived they late and the Mahlers went out of their way to help with the issue.

We had their breakfast one of the days we stayed there and it was very delicious, everything was homemade and made from scratch so i highly recommend it!

They even did some of our laundry for us which we greatly appreciated since we were there for two wks and didn't want to bring too much with us.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Mahler's apartment. The place was huge. We were a group of 7 with tons of filming equipment. It had many beds, bathrooms and a stocked kitchen. The Mahler's were very friendly. If you want to visit Galilee--this is the place to stay. It was conveniently located to Tiberius and the Golan Heights. I would definitely stay here again. If you are a large group, I would encourage you to explain your situation to the Mahler's. They can even make more room available for you!

We were 9 adults, which is a tough ask yet Villa Mahler made it happen. The home was large, we had lots of beds and bathrooms for everyone as well as a fully stocked kitchen to cook for 9 and a large living room with plenty of space to accommodate dining and lounging.

The Mahlers were great. Responded quickly during the booking process, accommodated requests and even opened up another room for us, without charge, when we realised the bed arrangements were not going to work as most of us were over 6ft tall. They are friendly hosts and oh ... the views are insane. recommended.
