Why John Klein chose Healdsburg
Sonoma County is to California what California is to the rest of the nation... meaning that California has a bit of everything in it, great weather, the oceans, mountains, and valleys and, Sonoma County has a bit of all that. Years ago, I was checking in with security for admittance to the trading floor on the Chicago Merc... The guard who, was 85 if he was a day, was issuing my credentials and asked where I was from. When I said 'Sonoma County', he paused, slowly looked up at me and said, reverntly, 'ah, God's Country'.

Love our wine country sept 2019
Cottage was clean and ready upon arrival. Cottage is spacious enough, comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed our time during the 3 day touring wineries near by. Cottage was fully equipped and we used the grill to roast few of our favorite local veggies. John was very helpful and he personally brought additional coffee to us. We had great time.

My husband and I just stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and it was fabulous! John is helpful and responsive. The cottage is perfect! We were able to make meals in the kitchen and sit out back at the private fire pit. It was easy driving distance to many neighboring wineries in Healdsburg and only about an hour from Napa. We had a Jeep rental, so even took a trip to San Francisco one of the days. Would definitely recommend this cottage for your stay!
Storylike views and cozy house
Very clean, cute, cozy and picturesque house and location.
The clean air and the fire pit did it for me..
will hopefully stay here again..
the cats on the property were just awesome ..
Great place to relax and enjoy wine country, beautiful patio fire pit area. The cabin was clean and very comfortable, would definitely stay again
Super clean and quaint. Easy access to winerys all over.
Another great stay
Hiking at Shiloh regional park and Armstrong redwoods park is a great way to start the day. Lunch at a winery (bring some snacks)-and there are plenty to choose from- followed by a coastal walk to see the birds at the mouth of the Russian river. Dinner in Healdsburg at Chalk Board. Our Ideal day. And a relaxing evening on the patio at Chalk Hill Cottage. A great place to stay.
