The apartment, located in the popular savoyard village, Morzine, is in a great location just a short stroll to the Pleney lift or down to Super Morzine lift - often able to ski back to the apartment from Pleney. The apartment is an easy walking distance to numerous bars and restaurants yet quietly tucked away so you are not disturbed if you prefer a quiet evening. The full length windows over looking Pleney make the apartment light and provide lovely views. Newly refitted this year, the kitchen/dining area is modern and well equipped, opening on to the comfortable living area. The mezzanine offers great versatility either as an extremely large main double bedroom or to accommodate the younger members of the family together. The sofa area on the mezzanine also provides extra living space, allowing your group to spread out! The beds have high quality egyptian cotton bedding/towels, quality duvets and pillows.

There are DVD's and games for you to enjoy, along with satellite TV and free WiFi.

About Ali

Hi, although we bought this property only this year we have been staying in this building for over a decade and enjoying Morzine for even longer. Our girls spent many years ski racing around Europe but they have now 'hung up their race boots' and we have at last been able to find our own base in the mountains, which I invite you to enjoy too.

Why Ali chose Portes du Soleil area

The apartment is in a very 'sought after' area, being in the centre of Morzine, close to everything, yet on the Pleney side of the road giving you peace and quiet when you are ready to retire for the day! Morzine is a great village for friends and family to enjoy - many fantastic restaurants and bars, coffee shops and shopping 'opportunities.' It is a friendly, thriving place, just a short transfer from Geneva airport.

The accommodation is versatile and after years of renting apartments around Europe my main concerns were to provide a comfortable sofa and beds to sink into at the end of the day - let me know if you think I succeeded?!

Fantastic appartment. Close to both ski lifts and shops/restaurants. Well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Lovely view of the pleney slope. You could ski in when there is enough snow. Great commmunication from the host.

Fantastic Apartment in Brilliant Location

This is a fantastic apartment, which is very close to the Pleney lift and restaurants and bars of Morzine. If the snow allows, it's very much "ski in-ski out"!

The apartment is spacious, with the very large mezzanine floor providing fantastic flexibility for groups or families as well as almost doubling the living space. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are modern and top-drawer, with the water pressure and heat of the showers a particular high point after skiing through a hailstorm on the mountain!

The apartment has access to a heated boot room, meaning you don't need to leave your skis over night in the ski rental shops allowing you to catch that first lift in the morning.

Booking the apartment was easy and hassle-free and Ali made sure that we had all the necessary information well in advance. When we arrived, the apartment was in brilliant condition, with the bedding and towels of notable quality.

We had a wonderful trip, which was made all the better by the fantastic apartment we were staying in.

What a gem!

This was my first time in Morzine and lets just say it didn't disappoint! The apartment was in a fantastic location just 300m from the Pleney lift and just as close to the bars and restaurants. The apartment itself is really well maintained, clean and spacious. We were a group of 7 guys and found the space to be more than adequate and we each had our own beds which were very comfortable. Because there are two separate toilets and two separate showers meant that getting ready to go out in the mornings or at nights wasn't time consuming and it worked well. The kitchen also had everything we needed and the lounge area was comfortable.

Because of its location to the lifts we could lie on until 8:30 and be on the Pleney lift by 9:00 as it was only a few minutes walk. We hired skis from Berger which is right beside the lift and they also stored our skis and boots overnight so we could head straight out for apres ski! It is also possible to ski straight in and its not difficult to ski out of if you walk 50m up the hill.

Morzine was fantastic and the apartment owner gave us lots of recommendations which turned out great. We particularly liked the Tibetan Café and the L'Etale Bar (where the food was superb).

I'll definitely be back in Morzine and hopefully to this apartment as it was just perfect for our party. Thanks Ali!

2nd Visit and still fantastic!

Just back from another ski weekend in Morzine staying at the Picaron for the second time.

You can't beat if for flexability, we stayed Thursday to Monday, location - 5 mins from lifts, bars, restaurants and ski hire, facilities - fantastic showers with plenty of hot water, sky tv, comfy beds and a great view across to the bottom of the Pleney lift.

Ali is a great host and would highly recommend her apartment, I'm sure we will be back again!

Great apartment and service! Great location.

Just finished a boys ski weekend, our sixth trip. All agreed this was the best accommodation we've had. Short stroll to shops and bars. We enjoyed the ales at Bec Jaune which was very handy, great food at L'étale and la rotonde. We enjoyed the skiing on both sides and left with genepi tinged fond memories.
