Swallows loft has a rural feel as its so tucked away, however we are only a few minutes drive from the motorway and so access to the whole of the south west is easy.
The large decked area of swallows loft is a wonderful private space to be enjoyed, with stunning views.
We had a wonderful and comfortable stay in Swollows Loft. Located on beautiful surroundings, with excellent interior design and fully equipped with everything we needed. The log burner was a great feature and made a very cosy atmosphere. There were lots of places to see near by. Claudia and Greg (and dogs) were very welcoming and very helpful. All in all, it was perfect for a restful and relaxing break.
Beautiful barn loft, hidden down a long farm track. The log burner was lit on arrival, and was lovely , warm and cosy. Good facilities.clean and bright. Plenty of logs available too!
Stayed here for work reasons rather than a hotel. Not only did this work out cheaper but it offered more space and freedom than a hotel. It came equipped with everything you could need for a stay away from home with the added advantage of some friendly dogs to greet you in the yard.
Would highly recommend and will certainly be looking to book again when working in the area next.
Swallows Loft is well equipped throughout and is a cosy and comfortable escape from it all. It is clean and well maintained inside. The family afforded us a warm welcome and ensured that a perfect balance was struck between ensuring that our needs were met but without being intrusive. What a lovely family there are too!
The farm provided opportunities for a range of walks across and within the land owned which was the best of both worlds for us with our dog. Despite the fact that the motorway is nearby providing easy access, it cannot be heard from the property and does not affect the views across beautiful countryside and the Mendip Hills which was a massive plus for getting to and from other places of interest (of which there are plenty).
Like their human counterparts, the dogs, cats and horses were very relaxed and made our dog feel very much at home too.
We will definitely return but next time for a longer stay and have no hesitation recommending it.
Loved this place. Gregg and Claudia were very welcoming and so friendly. We were welcomed by dudd the lab who vertically moved in and came for his meals everyday!:) loved having the animals around regret not taking my dogs along. Will definitely be going back. Claudia and gregg offered us to travel down early hours as it was a bank holiday so we could avoid the traffic at no extra cost which was so nice of them. Definitely a place where u need to be pet friendly and saying this even though the dogs and cats visited us the place was spotless and so clean! Excellent location nr to so many attractions too but lovely and quiet and out the way at the same time lovely local pubs and beaches. Would recommend to anyone! Xxx
We enjoyed so much our stay and we 'll be back if ever possible.
IT'S a HIDDEN GEM.
A good place to start day trips into somerset (and also cosy place for rainy days!). Very clean, very modern and everything you need in there!! Having a wine on the balcony while enjoying spectacular views on the hills. Dogs were so friendly: our dog felt member of the gang , wouldn't jump in the car at departure. XX Vibeke , Uwe and Youma
Swallows loft is situated near the village of Loxton and Rooksbridge it's perfect for exploring the south west, as close to the M5. Seaside towns of Weston super mare, Burnham on sea and Brean are only 6 miles away.
There are many walking, horse riding and cycling opportunities available. The cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells are only an hours car journey away. Glastonbury is a must for a walk up the tour and some lovely healthy homemade food in one of their many local cafes (Lazy Gecko ) esp good. Cheddar is the place to go for a wander around the caves, or a walk up Jacobs ladder followed by some browsing around the shops and a local cream tea.
