Nestling in the mountains, Villa Amores is a mere 15 minutes walk from the pretty white-washed village of Canillas de Aceituno, and has spectacular panoramic views over the Sierra de Tejeda to the blue Mediterranean Sea in the distance.

The house offers spacious accommodation and wonderful seclusion, perfect for those looking for contemporary comfort combined with rustic charm.

The ground floor is built in an open plan layout. The comfortable and spacious living room has a central fireplace. Adjoining the living room area is the dining area and fully fitted kitchen.

The interiors are light and airy with beamed ceilings and French doors leading out from the living-dining room onto two terraces, where you can savour the glorious vistas, relax, unwind, enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine and enjoy the sun set.

Down the hallway you will find the family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, a downstairs bedroom (2 single beds), a useful wardrobe/ store cupboard, and the stairs to the upper level.

Upstairs, the landing leads to 2 further bedrooms (both double), one of which has a 4 poster bed. Both bedrooms have their own private dressing areas and en-suite bathrooms with shower. They have access to a very large roof terrace, with beautiful views of the valley, Mediterranean sea, the village and the Sierra de Tejada Mountains.

The living room and all bed-rooms benefit from fully fitted Airconditioning.

In addition, the house is fitted with underfloor heating for convenience during the colder winter months from November to March, and the airconditioning in the bedrooms also functions as air heating.

Outside, the covered terrace has a built-in barbecue making it ideal for outdoor cooking, and the walled pool/ sun terrace with an 8 x 4 pool...

In summer the pool is naturally warmed up by the sun shine but in spring and autumn the pool is heated to a comfortable 25+ degrees celcius using an eco-friendly inverter system. Please note, the pool is not heated during the winter season from November to March.

A winding path leads down from upper terrace to the rest of the garden, including a number of terraces, hammocks, a small grove of carob, almond and olive trees.

The house is set within walking distance from the picturesque village of Canillas de Aceituno. The village has a good variety of shops, bars, restaurants and other facilities. It is one of the most beautiful villages in the region. More shops and restaurants can be found in the nearby village of Vinuela.

Velez-Malaga en Torre del Mar are 20 minutes by car, and the Mediterranean sea is just 5 minutes beyond.

About George & Daniel

We are Daniel Tiel and George de Graag. We live in Holland, between Amsterdam and The Hague.

Daniel has worked in the Dutch banking industry for over 25 years, and is currently a senior consultant in Training & Development.

George has worked in Human Resources in Hotels for over 15 years, most of which in the London area (where we met), and currently works for a large Health Care Insurance provider in Holland.

George & Daniel purchased this villa in 2014

Why George & Daniel chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

First time we visited the property we fell in love with the views, the quiet & rural location and amazing sun sets- and that has not changed over the years.

Since we purchased the villa we have retained that feeling, changed some of the interior/ decor, added huge outdoor brick planters, pool heating, internet, airco for the bedrooms and redeveloping the lower garden.

What makes this villa unique

- a private 8x4m Pool, which is heated in Spring and Autumn to provide for pool fun from March to October (not headed in winter season)

Outstanding property, owners & views. Highly recommended.

Excellent holiday for two weeks in this outstanding property. High spec villa but feels homely, stunning views and outdoor areas for sunbathing and al fresco dining. The village is charming and lots of options for tapas, a drink and a meal. The local beach town is just 30 mins away and is excellent, Spanish resort - no yobs just families enjoying a lovely beach town. I travel widely and I have to say this is now a firm favourite and we plan to return next year.

Fabulous luxury Villa ! !

Fabulous villa in a great location. We've stayed in many villas over the years and this is by far the best.The internal decoration and finishing touches make it a quality place to stay.There was great communication with the owner George. We left a necklace there and he even posted this on to my home at a cost to him. Hope to return in the future. Thank you George.

We highly recommend Villa Amores, the owners have thought of everything and the views are amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Amores! The villa was set along a track completely hidden from the road. The first thing that struck us all were the views, oh my goodness they were amazing! It was so quite, birds and the tinkling of the goats bells are the only things you really hear! We have stayed in many villas, however, this is by far the best, everything you could possibly need and more is provided! The bottle of Champagne was a lovely welcome and surprise. The village of Canillas de Aceituno was within walking distance and we enjoyed eating in the restaurants, great food and reasonable prices. We shall be back!

Relaxing Location

The views from this property are truly wonderful.

Dealing with the owners was straight forward and quick. The instructions to the property are amazingly detailed and easy to follow. On arrival, it is the views that hit you first - they go on for ever. The property is well furnished and was spotlessly clean. It is spacious which the photographs do not show well and flows very well. The outside area is well kept and tidy with plenty of area's to sit and read or to enjoy the views. We all had a wonderful, relaxing time with many local walks on the door step. The bedrooms are also spacious and individually furnished with comfortable beds. A truly wonderful villa where the only noise's are the birds and in the early evening the goats moving on to pastures new with their bells ringing.

A perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of our modern noisy world and highly recommended.

Really great villa in beautiful scenic spot!

We loved Villa Amores. It is in a scenic location, perched on the side of a mountain with amazing views. This is a great spot to get away from it all and relax! The villa itself is great, equipped with everything you need and is very comfortable. George is a pleasure to deal with. I hope we can return in the future!

Super stay!!

Vorige maand hebben we een fantastisch verblijf in Villa Amores gehad met ouders en kinderen (8, 10 en 14);

- de communicatie met de eigenaar, George, was fijn en goed;

- de villa is heerlijk, rustig en van alle gemakken voorzien - de vloerverwarming en airco verwarming stonden aan, en dat was zeer comfortabel omdat het 's nachts toch behoorlijk afkoelt;

- de patio en tuin waren mooi, goed onderhouden en de kinderen hadden alle ruimte;

- de omgeving is prachtig, en we hebben een aantal mooie wandeltochten gemaakt in de Sierra Tejada;

- we hebben ook wel wat slecht weer gehad, maar dat was te verwachten. Gelukkig had de eigenaar een aantal spellen waardoor we ons toch heel goed vermaakt hebben.

Ik hoop volgend jaar in de zomer terug te komen, zodat we van het zwembad kunnen genieten (in de winter niet verwarmd dus helaas erg koud)...

Kortom een grote aanrader!
