About Lynn or Ken Bryant

We have lived in the Charente for 10 years, we initially bought our property for a holiday home, but very soon we decided that it was the place we wanted to live! We love every minute of our life here and feel privileged living here and love sharing it with our guests.

Lynn or Ken Bryant purchased this barn in 2004

Why Lynn or Ken Bryant chose Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure

We always think a property finds you, after looking in various parts of France, we liked the idea of being in the second sunniest region of France. It is rural but we have very good local amenities on our door step. The Charantais people are very friendly and soon adopted us as one of their own. The property also had good potential for what we had in mind. We are rural but not isolated.

What makes this barn unique

The Estate Agent asked us what we wanted in a Property, after failing to find us any thing, so we said we wanted somewhere to sit and have a G&T and watch the world go by slowly! That is what he exactly found us! Although we now enjoy a glass or two of wine.

Beautiful property and location. Maintained to a very high level. Very thoughtfully developed.

  • 5 of 5

One of the best properties we have stopped in to date ! Very well developed keeping and maintaining many original features. Maintained to a very high standard with many thoughtful touches. Great swimming pool beautiful features even an outdoor kitchen which was great when barbecuing! Lovely thoughtful welcome pack with a bottle cooled in fridge which was so welcome at end of a long hot journey from uk. Lyn and Ken are near by but do not bother you at all they are very respectful and and want you to have a great holiday in their property. Would really recommend this property for a great holiday lots of places to visit and great to return to a wonderful pool and great grounds for an after dinner evening stroll! Perfect for the family of both young and old. Will make a return visit!

Little Totham

A perfect French rural retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We were immediately impressed with the barn and its layout, thus optimising use of all its features. There is plenty of space for everyone to find a corner on your own if you so wish although at the same time being able to enjoy family time without feeling cramped. The outside space is great for young and old alike. This is indeed somewhere you can stay at any time of the year and feel comfortable in. We were given excellent customer service by the owners who were approachable when asked, but at the same time discreet and mindful of giving us privacy. In particular, it was great to have good kitchen equipment to use as I often find at other holiday homes this is what can let the property down. We would not hesitate to stay at this property again when in the Charente, and indeed contemplating a stay again in 2017!

Wonderful immaculate accommodation

  • 5 of 5

Truly lovely barn conversion. This accommodation was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It's incredibly well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The view from the first floor terrace is lovely across rolling countryside. There are two other terraces at ground floor, one adjacent to the lovely clean, warm private pool. We sat by the pool in the day, up on the terrace by the lounge for aperitifs, and there was yet another spacious outdoor area for the BBQ at night. We can't fault it. The owners aren't too far away should a problem occur (it didn't) and they left us a generous welcome pack including wine, which was so welcome after our long journey.
