Tucked away in a quiet residential street is this newly renovated apartment in what is to become a conservation area in the Chelsea Design Quarter. Main bedroom and sitting room are air conditioned, the smaller bedroom has a door onto an internal courtyard for fresh air. Sumptuous beds with Egyptian cotton bed linen. Lovely sitting room kitchen space with SKY TV and WiFi. Lovely garden terrace the chairs and table for al fresco dining. Revel in the infectious creative village atmosphere famous for Antiques, Auction Houses, Art, Design, Lighting, Pictures etc. The famous Chelsea Arts Club started by Whistler is only a few minutes walk away. Positioned in Central Zone 1 and 2 there are easy connections to the rest of London with rail (Imperial Wharf) tubes (Fulham Broadway and Earls Court), buses and taxi close by, better still get to know all the secret gems on foot! A very safe area with friendly community feel. Just through the park is the famous Embargo 59 Club mixing grit and glamor with cocktails. If you like Jazz the 606 club is at the bottom of the road with great acts every night! Great places to eat like the Jam Jar and Megan's a short stroll. All this together with the usual tourist attractions make Uverdale Road a great place to spend your London Holiday. Please note this is our second home so there are a few personal items left here.

Married to Paul for 33 years and have 4 grown up sons living in London. Our family home is in the Surrey Hills south of London in the beautiful Hamlet of Blackheath. we use our Chelsea apartment a couple of times a week. Helen is an artist and Paul a business man and hobby pilot.

  • The second bedroom is light but small with a wardrobe for clothes. There is a large door window to a small internal outside courtyard. This bedroom is small and completely fine for sleep but if you are intending to spend long periods of time in the bedroom it would not be ideal. You couldn't be better placed to explore London's top tourist attraction combined with the famous Kings Road. Amazing design area, galleries, restaurants walks along the Thames etc. Please note the check in time is 3pm , if we don't have guests leaving the same day we will do our best to accommodate an early check in if requested. This is not always possible so please check before booking your flights.

Very well-situated apartment, very comfortable and well-equipped. Three of us stayed here for four days and found everything we needed for our stay. Management and owners very accommodating!

17-day stay in this flat in a charming area of London

As a prolific traveler, I depend on consumer reviews of properties and restaurants so that I can made educated and informed decisions. Therefore, I will review this property in its entirety for future travelers.

LOCATION: Just about perfect. We walked everywhere, day and night, and felt very safe. The property is located just two blocks from Kings Road. We utilized the tube twice and walked about 20 minutes to get there, which was fine with us. Chelsea is a charming borough.

PROPERTY: This is a two bedroom (one bedroom is en-suite) and two bathroom flat on the first floor of a three-story structure. The open living area/kitchen met our needs perfectly. Kitchen is well-appointed. A plus is the enclosed patio. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, plenty of storage space for clothes, and the bathroom is well-lit with a nice sized shower. The second bedroom is very small with a "double" bed (in American terms this is one bed smaller than a queen size). There was plenty of space for storage and the bed was very comfy. This bedroom utilizes the second bathroom, which is downstairs. This bathroom is very large, which I loved. Please be aware that there are no grab bars for the tub (and it is a higher than normal tub, i.e., getting in and out can be tricky) and the lighting is poor for getting oneself "made up". Yes, I am a woman and this is important :-) Also downstairs is the washer and dryer. We used the washer only and it was extremely easy to use. Overall impression of the flat was very positive.

OWNER: Helen Brodie, owner, and her assistant, Sarah are gems. They understand customer service and were very accommodating when small matters surfaced during my longish stay. Helen and her husband were there to greet us and showed us how to use everything in the house so that our stay was wonderful. They succeeded.

INTERNET CONNECTION: While the connection was spotty from time to time, it did not deter us from communication. There three of us occupying the flat at any given time. No worries with the internet.

SURROUNDS: Fabulous pub, The Chelsea Ram, just two doors from the flat. More bistros, restaurants and pubs all along Kings Road. Again, fantastic location.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: This flat is clean, comfortable, perfectly situated, well-appointed, bright and airy. The owner is attentive, cheerful, and professional. You would be making an excellent travel decision to request a stay here.

We too had experienced some problems in the summer and theerefore we have made a decision to change our supplier to a new one who will guarantees a super fast and reliable service. It is so important in todays world to be confident that you have this 24 hours. Thank you for your comments regarding the lighting in the downstairs bathroom, I will purchase some stronger bulbs. The main bed is actually a super king and as you said the other bed is a double. We are careful in our description to alert people to this. You certainly made the most of your stay, I think you visited more places than Paul and I in the 4 years we have had the apartment! If there is anything left that you haven't seen in London I hope we can welcome you back again lol Helen x

Clean property located in beautiful neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to public transportation and had some good restaurants near by. Sarah checked us in and brought us some milk, she was very pleasant and communication with her was fantastic. Would stay here again if visiting London.

Enchanting place

We had a delightful stay! After what seemed to be an endless number of hours spent researching where we wanted to stay in London, our daughter ultimately made the final decision to stay here. Beautifully decorated, yet with all of the modern conveniences that one can expect. As I have severe, life threatening allergies, it has become a necessity for me to stay in a place with a kitchen whenever we travel. We promptly visited the local Whole Foods after arriving in London and stocked up for the week. Fell in love with the instant, hot water option on the kitchen faucet and are thinking of installing one in our home, now. I never did quite figure out how to operate the oven correctly, but there is a stove and microwave and that was more than sufficient for all of one's cooking needs. The washer and dryer worked great! Appreciated the fact that they added air conditioning in the living area (as there was already air conditioning in the master bedroom). We did not need it on all of the time, but there were times when it was a little muggy outside and turning on the air conditioning was a welcome respite. Loved eating breakfast out at the patio, and in general, having a warm, inviting atmosphere to return home to after a long day of sightseeing each day. Helen and Sarah were both so kind and attentive to our needs and we appreciate their excellent communication. Would not hesitate to stay there again! Thank you for a wonderful time and helping to make our daughter's first trip to London so magical!

Wonderful home away from home

Helene and her husband met us upon the arrival and greeted us with a warmth and sincere hospitality. Helene bought some milk and bread for us to have since we arrived later at night. Flat located in Chelsea one of London’s great neighborhoods. Place was clean and well maintained. Full kitchen, comfortable beds, quiet street. Place is centrally located and easy to get to main attractions. Beautiful neighborhood park for kids and adults to enjoy only few steps away. Short walk to restaurants, stores and pharmacies, bus stops and tube station.

We definitely will stay there again if back in the area. Highly recommend this place for your next vacation. You will have no regrets.
