The Cottage has been recently modernized to a very high standard. There are 2 bedrooms with zip and link beds that can be made to suit. There is 1 en-suite shower room and separate bathroom on 1st floor. On the ground floor is the sitting room and dining/kitchen with american style fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Half way up the stair is a small utility room with washing machine and door leading to outside area, care must be taken outside as this area is on two levels without fencing. What a little beauty this cottage is! From the moment you step through the door, you realise that this is a special place. It combines the history of a listed building with a wonderfully modern internal makeover, which provides you with everything you need for your stay - and it’s clear from the condition of the cottage and its contents, that the guests are as careful with them as the owners are!
We enjoyed a beautiful week of weather, which allowed us plenty of opportunity to confirm that St. Monans is both a lovely spot and perfectly situated for visiting the East Neuk villages and St. Andrews.
Unfortunately, the stairs within the cottage and garden mean that those with mobility issues could find difficulty. Clearly, the cottage is advertised appropriately as WheelChair inaccessible However, I have less significant mobility issues myself, yet managed to cope and to thoroughly enjoy my stay.
Thank you Helen, for everything that has gone into creating and maintaining your cottage. It is indeed a little gem!
Great location.Seconds from the picturesque harbour.Stunning views over the Firth of Forth. So peaceful. We enjoyed walks along the coastal path and visiting the neighbouring villages and towns. The Cottage is equipped and decorated to a very high standard, just fabulous.I would highly recommend staying here.Hoping to return in the near future.Thank You Helen.
Charming holiday cottage in sleepy fishing village
We had a lovely stay. The cottage was immaculate, every need catered for. Huge beds! Marvellous.
This is a wonderful cottage, the updates that have been completed were done very nicely. the village has everything. The little store has a wide variety of items. If you do not wish to cook the restaurants are great. The scenery is spectacular. If you get a chance walk the Fife coastal trail and stop at the St. Monans Museum.
This Cottage is more than clean and confortable: each fitting, each appliance is brand-new !
We have really appreciate this home.
On the other hand we did not find any instruction or any boxes for general waste out of door ??
We had a lovely time, a great place for the kids as we went on walks and explored the beach.
We had spent a few days at the Cottage last year and decided to come back again and the reasons for that are that it is nicely positioned down close to the harbour. The cottage has character and is decorated to a high standard but you don’t feel that you can’t have the kids with you. The showers are great, the beds are a good size and comfy. The kitchen has a terrific fridge freezer and is kitted out with everything you could need. The corner couch and fire in the living room make it a cozy place to relax and watch the tv or read. Helen is great on communication and makes sure that the place is spotless for when you arrive. We love it.
