Welcome to Delfryn, a lovely 3 Bedroom House situated in the heart of Aberdovey. Comfortably, the accommodation will sleep up to 6 persons.

The House is built on 3 floors and consists of 3 double bedrooms, Bathroom, Dining Room, Lounge, Kitchen, utility room with WC, a garden which has 2 patios with sea views and separate BBQ area.

The accommodation is Ideal for families or couples looking or a quality cottage in the heart of Aberdovey

Situated in village centre, only a 2 minute walk to the harbour and Aberdovey's lovely sandy beach. The house is available for holiday rentals all year round on a 2/3/4/7 night basis.

There are superb sea views from the upstairs lounge and main bedroom.

Delfryn is a typical, traditional Welsh Property and was built over 200 years ago, it retains a lot of its original Character with beams featured in the Dining room/Lounge and Kitchen together with a Welsh slate floor, the property has charm and atmosphere together with a modern contemporary feel.

The house benefits from an outside garden area which has 2 patios offering, views over Aberdovey and out to sea.

The 2 patio areas are there for you to relax and enjoy, there is ar with a separate BBQ area including a charcoal BBQ.

The house is well furnished with all modern amenities including high speed fibre optic broadband internet with WIFI, there are games for adults as well as children, jigsaws and a large DVD collection, bucket and spades for the beach and crabbing lines for the kids or DADS?.

The Dining Room/Lounge dining area has a dining table for 6, and the room has an IPOD docking station together with a 'music centre' playing CD's, tapes and even old or new vinyl records.The dining room is beamed throughout and has a natural Welsh Slate floor

There is an upstairs lounge with wonderful views over Church Bay and beyond, the lounge consists of 2 settees and individual chairs, a wall mounted TV with DVD and Freeview is there for you to enjoy your favourite programmes

Three well presented double bedrooms are situated on the first and second floor, the main double bedroom on the second floor benefits from tremendous sea views, all bedrooms are doubles and have wall mounted TV.DVD with Freeview.

The bathroom consists of a power shower, a fantastic slipper bath, heated towel rail, WC and other occasional bathroom furniture

The kitchen has all modern amenities including dishwasher, oven, hob microwave etc, next to the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine, hand basin and another WC

The house is fully centrally heated and includes full use of electric and gas, bed linen is included for all persons

This is a lovely original 'home from home' Welsh property with a contemporary feel, a fantastic property for Families and Couples alike.

Super location

Great accommodation, well presented, clean and in a super location in the town and near the beach. Plenty of room for our family of 6 and the crabbing lines were a big hit. The outdoor area was a beautiful spot for an early morning cup of tea or evening drink and we were lucky enough to see the firework display in prime position! Aberdyfi is an old fashioned resort with plenty of places to eat and coffee shops and very welcoming people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning, hopefully for longer! Diolch yn fawr!

belle déco, mais..

Maison bien rénovée et bien décorée. Mais avoir une jolie déco ne suffit pas. Nous avions prévenu par mail de notre horaire d'arrivée, et il était convenu que nous téléphonions en arrivant à proximité de la ville. Mais nos téléphones n'arrivaient pas à se connecter sur le réseau UK. Arrivés devant le cottage à l'heure, personne. Nous avons attendu, puis essayé d'ouvrir la porte. Heureusement, c'était ouvert. Nous avons pu téléphoner grâce au téléphone fixe de la maison. Et là, grosse surprise ! La personne n'a pas daigné se déplacer pour nous accueillir et donner toutes les petites explications habituelles du début de location. Nous n'avons eu de contact avec personne pendant toute la semaine, aucun coup de téléphone ou d'e-mail pour avoir si tout se passait bien. Nous sommes partis en laissant les clés là ou nous les avions trouvées...... Très très très léger !

La photo générale du jardin est trompeuse : prise de l'étage de la maison, on ne voit pas les escaliers raides, sans rambardes et dangereux : à déconseiller complétement avec des enfants. De plus, la première terrasse (avec la table blanche) ne fait pas partie du jardin mais de celui du voisin..... Celle de la maison est tout au bout....

Il y a effectivement un espace buanderie et un wc au rez de chaussée, mais il faut sortir pour y accéder......

Ne comptez pas cuire des pâtes ou des steaks pour plus de 4 personnes, ou alors prévoir poèle et casserole de taille nécessaire. (Nous avons du cuire nos spaghettis pour 5 dans le wok). Pas de cafetière non plus.

La salle de bains est très jolie, et propre, sauf si vous soulevez le tapis de la douche...

Ne faites rien tomber sous les lits, cela vous évitera de tomber face à des petits vers morts.....

et ne soulevez pas non plus le repose plat sur la table principale, vous ne verrez pas que la protection en dessous est à moitié moisie.

Bref, oui la déco est jolie, la vue de la chambre est sympa, la ville agréable, mais pour nous, l'accueil et la communication font partie intégrante d'une location de vacances réussie, et là c'était le néant complet. En rajoutant les descriptions trompeuses, et la propreté douteuse, pour nous c'est à déconseiller.
