This beautiful family home is set over five floors in one of London’s more exclusive areas: Chelsea. Welcome to Shawfield Street, the perfect base for families looking for a home from home in the heart of a luxury neighbourhood.

The living area is decorated in clean, neutral shades, centered around a classic fireplace, this generous space is perfect for relaxing in.With access to the garden, the bright kitchen is large with plenty of storage and counter space. The modern dining table seats six guests, and the additional seating around the kitchen island allows for casual dining. The utility room keeps the washing machine, dryer, and fridge freezer neatly out of the way.

The traditional master bedroom offers a UK super-king size bed (6ft wide), with an en-suite bathroom.A second guest bedroom has a UK queen bed (5ft wide) with its own en-suite bathroom. A third bedroom also has a UK queen bed (5ft wide) and an accompanying shower room. A further two bedrooms each have twin singles and share a bathroom. With 5 bedrooms this home sleeps up to eight people in the utmost style and comfort.

Shawfield Street is set over five floors. On the ground floor is the living room, with access onto the terrace. Down one flight of stairs on the lower ground level is the open-plan living-dining area and kitchen with access on to lower terrace, the utility room and WC.On the first floor is master bedroom with en-suite and opposite this is the queen bedroom and shower room. The second floor is home to the second queen bedroom with en-suite, a twin bedroom and family bathroom. On the third floor is the final twin room.

This home is just a 10 minute walk from Sloane Square tube station, giving easy access to other parts of London.

Local amenities such as grocery stores and ATMs are close by, as well as a diverse array of restaurants and cafes. Chimes offers hearty English food in a cosy and delightful setting, or perhaps try Goya a lively Spanish Tapas bar. Grumbles on Churchton Street is another favourite, serving yummy food in an informal bistro setting. Whatever your mood you’ll find it nearby. There is a fantastic Farmer’s market in Orange Square on Saturday mornings- great to gather supplies for a picnic or for a home cooked feast.

You can pop down to the riverfront, and take in the splendid views of the bridges stretching across the Great River Thames. Riverboat services to Waterloo and Southwark run from Millbank Millennium Pier - these run as water-taxis but are a great way to see the city from another angle as you travel. Don’t forget you are close to the theatres and high-end fashion of Knightsbridge and Chelsea, so you will never be at a loss of what to do during your trip.

Absolutely Fantastic Stay

Our party of seven (ages 12 to 79) thoroughly enjoyed the Shawfield property for our recent London stay. We were met upon arrival by Evita who showed us the entire property, and answered all of our questions. The home is even better in person than in the photos -- believe it or not -- and was in pristine condition throughout.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful, immaculate, and very modernized -- we were thrilled to have air conditioning during our warm August stay. The kitchen and adjoining den were where we spent the bulk of our time while there, and served as an excellent place to regroup and review the events of the day with a glass of wine! The kitchen itself is fully stocked, and there is a lovely patio just outside the door. The appliances (including full size fridge, washer and dryer) were in working order and all instruction books were set aside if needed.

The Chelsea area is top-notch, and we enjoyed close proximity to King's Road, Sloane Square and the tube station. The neighborhood is very clean and safe, while the home is tucked away along this quiet street. We were very close to the Thames, and we were especially excited to be so close to Battersea Park where we enjoyed long walks.

We would not hesitate to stay here again, and would recommend Ivy Lettings to anyone interested in staying in a London home. This was our second stay using Ivy (our first being a smaller flat at Prince's Square) and we have found the Ivy team to be very helpful and courteous.

Beautiful neighborhood/beautiful pubs

The neighborhood was amazing, the house was very clean and, despite the construction work heard through the walls, it was a welcome return to London. However, according to the house manual no "gatherings" of any kind are allowed in the house and could result in an immediate loss of deposit and eviction from property. We called the agency to ask how many people constituted "a gathering" as we wished to have a family brunch and/or our British family dropping in to see us. Although they told us to enjoy the property, they never quite clarified what constituted a "gathering". Having respectfully rented vacation homes around the world, this was the first time we have come across this strict rule and it somewhat tainted our stay.

Elegant Home

Elegant upgraded home in a fabulous location- right off Kings Road. Less than a two minute walk to great shops and restaurants. Easy access to taxi, bus stop and underground. The booking process was seamless from beginning to end. We will always remember our vacation here.

Excellent

We searched the entire web looking for property like this one and on arrival we were more than impressed and surpassed our expectations. All parts of the house were impeccable in taste, presentation and upkeep. We can consider this now to be a home from home in London and in fact we have stayed there subsequently. The letting agency were also brilliant and dealt with what few demands we could possibly have had from such a magnificent property.
