This exceptional new luxury detached house is just five minutes stroll to Killarney town centre, right near Killarney National Park, Muckross House, Tork Waterfall, the Lakes etc., truly amazing. This is a beautiful, stylish, detached quiet house with all the conveniences of modern living. You will have a view of the mountains from your window and a beautiful private garden with parking for up to three cars.

If you like walking, you are spoilt for choice, Muckross House gardens, lake side walks, the National Park while you experience the fresh, clean air of Kerry. Or take a jaunting car as you are informed of the history, legends and folklore of the area. This great home is in an idyllic location, set near 26,000 acres of 'free to roam' parkland surrounded by Kerry's wonderful landscapes and wilderness on one side, and on the other side near town, nightlife, top class restaurants and shopping just minutes away. Nice large lawned garden, outside seating area, table and sun umbrella, great for alfresco dining.

About The Owner

I was born and grew up in Cahersiveen, which is about 40 minutes drive from Killarney. Thus the name of the house Sive House. I teach as a profession and I live in Cahersiveen and spend some holiday quiet time in my home in Killarney. I love to share this lovely home with my guests and visitors, which is located in one of the most prestigious locations of Killarney.

Why The Owner chose County Kerry

I was lucky to obtain this site near Killarney to build my new home. I always loved Killarney town and surroundings, where there is a constant buzz, beauty and shopping combined. Unlike my loved but very quiet home town of Cahersiveen, its nice to spend holidays near the golf clubs of Killarney. Golfing is one of my passions, as well as walking and fishing.

What makes this house unique

I fell in love with the area as soon as I saw it. I was lucky enough to be presented with the chance to buy in one of the most beautiful location in the world.

Great house, great location

Fantastic location! A very short walk to shops, restaurants, & pubs. House was very spacious and comfortable. We were met by Maeve's sister, who was very nice and showed us around the house and how everything worked. A bottle of wine and a basket with fruit and candy was left on the table for us - a nice welcome. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Very good WiFi. Just down the street towards town by the gas station is a small grocery store with some fresh baked goods and coffee. Next store to that is a store for beer, wine, etc. We would highly recommend this house and would definitely stay here again when we come back to Ireland.

Great central location; top quality property

We regularly stay in holiday homes in Co. Kerry and the quality of this particular property is exceptional. The house is spacious, bright with natural light, spotlessly clean and finished with the best of fittings and furniture. The decor is modern and tasteful, fabrics for curtains, blinds and bed linens are all top quality. The kitchen is fully equipped with everthing you could need, the bedrooms are all equally roomy and beautifully presented, and the bathrooms have good quality fittings, lots of fluffy towels and plenty of space and light. A personal meet-and-greet and tour of the property by Eimear dealt with any questions we had on arrival.

The house is located about three minutes' walk from the Jarvey stand in the heart of Killarney, making it a short walk home after evening dinner or from the pub - no need for a designated driver to stay sober!

The famous MacGillycuddy's Reeks are visible from the front windows, and the town and the shops, bars, street music and dance, and walks in the park or by the lake can all be easily explored on foot, though you'll need transport to tour further afield.

This house guarantees you a luxurious base from which to explore - the rest of the holiday is up to you!

Fantastic rental

This property is beautiful, well situated, and the perfect place to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. I spent the month of May, 2016, here and cannot say enough in its favor. I was greeted by Eamear with a warm welcome. There were fresh flowers and fruits, wine, and candy on the table which were indications of the wonderful time to come. The house is impeccably clean and shining, convenient and comfortable. The kitchen/dining area is large and inviting and well equipped. The four bedrooms are all ensuite with hot water within seconds and comfortable beds, all of which my guests appreciated. The house is located approximately two blocks from downtown Killarney so the restaurants, shops, and pubs are all walkable. There is a lawn area for sitting outside when the weather permits. I have visited Ireland on numerous occasions and believe Killarney to be the most beautiful of this exceptionally beautiful island with a myriad of things to do. I have rented through VRBO previously but this was without doubt the best. The only problem was having to leave.

Excellent - fantastic location and beautiful house

As regular visitors to Killarney we couldn't recommend this house highly enough! It is in a great location, near to all attractions and the town, it is spacious and has all mod-cons (really home from home). Eimear who met and greeted us was very helpful and accommodating. This is by far the best holiday home we have stayed in to date and over the years we have stayed in many! For anyone wishing to travel to Killarney in Kerry - this house is ideal and worth every penny!
