|Minimum Stay||7 nights|
The apartment is furnished to an excellent standard with free Wi-Fi, multi channelled T.V. DVD player with a modest selection of DVD's and books. The kitchen has a washing machine and dishwasher, microwave, stove and oven. There will be a small welcome package in the fridge upon your arrival.
The bedroom is air-conditioned and has a hair dryer and small safe for your valuables and the lounge has a queen size sofa bed. There is also a ceiling fan in the lounge area and the patio to keep you cool at all times.
Lantana has two sparkling swimming pools with shaded lounge chairs and is only a 2 minute walk from beautiful Alleyne's beach along the Platinum Coast of Barbados. There you can take an early morning dip, have a full day of beach combing and tanning or late evening soak before getting ready for the night life.
The resort is gated with its own private parking facility and the apartment is on the first floor - second if you are American. It is a non-smoking apartment.
We are the family with two kids, we realy enjoyed our staying in Lantana. The apartment is clean and well equipped. It has a beautifull terrace with sea and pool view. In front of the appartment is a swimming pool, small, but clean. Kids loved it. The owner, Laila, is a very nice person, she gave us all the information and she was always available.
The sea is 3 minutes away from the apartment, there is a smal sandy beach. We were usually alone there. Near the sea is the fish market and a (very small) shop. There is a bus stop near the appartment house, the bus goes every 5 minutes, so it's very easy to reach Holetown or Speightown. We liked the Moullins beach bar and a restaurant - 20 minutes walk.
We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone.
The apartment is owned by Laila and her mother Philomena. They live on Barbados. Laila met us at the airport and arranged car hire for us. We followed her to the apartment. The apartment is as pictured and the sea view from the balcony are lovely too. The wifi works brilliantly. Kitchen is well equipped. The complex is very clean and well maintained. We found the apartments to be quiet and used the sun beds round the pool frequently. We also visited the local beach at the bottom of the road for a swim most days. A number of the apartments in the complex are owned by British people using them for long holidays. Everyone seemed very helpful and friendly and happy to share their experience of places to eat, best beaches etc. The apartment is perfect for a couple. Laila is most helpful and happy to assist you to have a great holiday. I would very much recommend this apartment to my friends and family.
We've stayed in this apartment from Dec 29th to Jan 5th.
The appt is just the same as you see on pics here - no underwater stones and it is quite new - I believe it was open for rent only few month ago. Internet is surprisingly fast!
Apartment is located a minute away walking distance from the beach.
Accessing the beach may bring a bit of a struggle on this side of the island/area if you don't know where the entrance is. Luckily, the area in front of the complex was for sale which gave us access to a small beach. There is a bar and a fish market close if you walk along the beach north.
Phil and Laila, the owners, are very nice and helpful ladies. I still appreciate showing us around upon arrival and helping us to rent a car (as during high season most of the car rental agencies are totally sold out).
I would definitely recommend this apartment to my friends as a place to stay on Barbados west coast.
Lantana is idyllically situated being just minutes' drive from Holetown and its legendary night life, and Lime Grove Centre with its restaurants and bar, Cigar & Brandy Bar, art gallery, high-end stores and state-of-the-art cinemas. The area is vibrant with life.
For a small island there is a lot going on, during our winter months (high season) you can see International Polo; Holders' Season with acts from the West End and Broadway, opera, comedy and an international array of performers taking place in the beautiful grounds; international Game Fishing at Port St. Charles; horse-racing at the Garrison Savannah with the Sandy Lane Gold Cup event in March; and motor racing at Bushy Park (Lewis Hamilton and the Top Gear Team graced us with their company May, '14)
Barbados is very beautiful and has many things to offer. The beaches are fabulous with many different water sports available, the night life amazing, the culture and history fascinating, we have gorgeous gardens: Hunte's Tropical Garden (my favourite), Andromeda Gardens and the Flower Forest. The east coast is rugged and slightly untamed with no land between us and Africa; this is where the surfers go!
And our biggest asset? The people, who are warm and generous.
