A little run down
This is a quaint little cabin on a quiet creek. We did some fishing and caught a couple little guys.
The cabin is a little long in the tooth. All the furniture and fixtures are a bit older and worn. The regular bed is hard and squeaky. The pull out bed is sagging and hard to sleep on. The kitchen is super old and some stuff doesn't work. The shower is teeny tiny, barely bigger than an RV shower.
There is a small dam and fish ladder on the property that was fun to explore.
This place should be more like $75 a night.
Our guest's young son Jack did a wonderful hand printed comments in our log book which brought big smiles to both myself and our property manager's faces.
The son's comments about his stay:..
"Me and my dad had a blast. We watched movies and fished from the deck. We had so much fun and I am sad to leave! J & S
Steve our property manager heard heard nothing from you about and problems with the Cottage and as you knew she just lives about 5 minutes away and would have addressed any issues. We want all of our guests to have a wonderful time like your son did.
We have not ever received anything but positive comments about both the queen bed and the sleeper sofa.
One of our late August guests best summed up how most everyone's experiences are at the Cottage with her cabin log book entry...
"This little cottage is a quiet and humble place. It was a nice surprise. Quite interesting and unique. Thank you for sharing your special place with us."
Wonderful little cabin for relaxation.
What a wonderful little cabin for relaxation and for being a home base throughout a sightseeing vacation! Peaceful back deck to enjoy morning coffee on!!
Mark thank you so much for your great comments you left in the guests book about the Cottage and we know that you and your wife were traveling for work the week earlier and were looking for a great get away that you shared with your wife's sister and her husband. Obviously you found the queen bed and the hide-a-bed comfortable and obviously enjoyed the deck overlooking the property. Debbie our property manager said to tell you thank you. She said you did a great cleaning job. Hope you have safe travels and will visit us again. Linda
Beautiful setting, cozy and very clean cabin in the woods.
We loved it, the deck hangs virtually 20 feet over Elk Creek and they have fishing gear in the closet if you don't have your own. Quiet, peaceful surroundings, interesting old structures nearby, must be an area rich in history. We had a family gathering in Chehalis to attend and this was the perfect place to escape the bustle when all was said and done. We will go back when we have more time to explore in and around the area. Our 12 year old daughter was up and fishing off the deck before we got up Sunday morning. We didn't need anything, but both Linda and Debbie the property manager, were very responsive in all communications and I would expect quick assistance if needed. Great place to unplug and unwind, thank you very much!
Quiet and relaxing!
Cute cabin, right over the river - I was surprised there was another house just across the river, but we only saw the person a couple of times. Very quiet area which was perfect for relaxing. The fish ladder just 50 feet down the road was an easy way to get down to the water.
Great little cabin in a very quiet, remote area.
Very nice cabin overlooking a babbling river. The area is very remote with no cell phone service, so it's a great place to unplug.
This little cottage is a quiet and humble place. It was a nice surprise.Quite interesting and unique.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage.
Everthing was as expected when we arrived. Clean and equipped with all we needed.
The owners were very helpful prior to our stay.
The guest guide was very informative about the property as well as the surrounding areas.
We enjoyed reading the memories in the guest book. Glad we could add ours to it.
Thanks for sharing your special place with us.
