Overview

About the property

Bright apartment on the 4th floor with elevator. It consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a bathtub), a living room and a built-in kitchen with a fireplace and a barbecue. It can comfortably accommodate 4 people and another three on the two sofa beds in the living room and a folding net with latex mattress.

It is located in the village that bears the name of Aurora, the most multi-ethnic district of Turin, a 10-minute walk from the historic center and the famous Porta Palazzo market and is adjacent to the ancient Borgo Dora along whose cobbled streets takes place all Saturdays the Balon vintage market and where you will find typical trattorias and small bars with dehor.

Near the river Dora, along which a long bike path branches off leading directly to the Colletta river park, enjoys a good view of the rooftops of Turin and of the hill and, on this, of the Basilica of Superga by architect Juvarra.

Being part of a multi-ethnic neighborhood, it offers a choice of restaurants and delis that offer Indian, Maghreb, Senegalese and Chinese cuisine. Less than 100 meters away there is the Lidl discount supermarket.

For those arriving by car, parking is free on the road or, on payment (from € 5 to € 10 depending on the car and stay) in the garage at the street number on the side.

Of course one of the greatest advantages is its proximity to the historic center, the Quadrilatero Romano - so-called because it is the square plan of the surface on which the first Roman castrum was installed - which starts from Porta Palazzo and can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot.

The Quadrilatero Romano is a very advantageous area as a starting point to visit Turin mainly because the main tourist attractions are grouped in the center and because they are all easily reachable on foot thanks to the pedestrian areas. Via Garibaldi (the first pedestrian street in Turin and the most famous shopping street), starting from Piazza Statuto, you can reach the Porta Nuova station on foot only through pedestrian areas crossing Piazza Castello and traveling, via choice, via Roma (more famous commercial street) under the arcades to run into Piazza San Carlo (the so-called 'living room of Turin' also pedestrian) or the two pedestrian streets of the very recent institution Lagrange and Carlo Alberto, at the beginning of which rises the Egyptian Muesum (the second in the world after the one in Cairo).

In Piazza della Rebubblica, known as Porta Palazzo via the Porta Palatina, vestiges of one of the four surrounding the Roman settlement, the homonymous market takes place every morning and Saturday (the largest open market in Europe) ) where several areas are divided: an area dedicated to the traditional fruit and vegetable market, another to the sale of the products of farmers cultivated in the countryside of Turin belt, two markets covered for meat and gastronomy, an entire building dedicated to the sale of fresh fish and one for the sale of clothing.

Even the Mole Antonelliana can be reached easily from Piazza Castello, on foot, under the arcades of Via Po. In this characteristic building, symbol of Turin, initially commissioned to the architect Antonelli by the Jewish community to be a synagogue, the Cinema Museum is located (since in Italy Cinema was born in Turin).

Also from Piazza Castello, at the end of Via Po there is the wide and airy Piazza Vittorio Veneto (the largest porticoed square without monuments of Europe) from which opens the enchanting panorama of the hill of Turin with, in the foreground , beyond the Po, the Church of the Gran Madre and, higher up, the convent of the Capuchin friars (Monte dei Cappuccini). Between Piazza Vittorio and the Gran Madre, connected by the Vittorio Emanuele I bridge, there is the Po and the famous river promenade called Murazzi del Po (until a few years ago, one of the nightlife nightlife, teeming with nightclubs and currently in restart project) from where the two boats Valentino and Valentina leave (on which it is possible, booking, lunch or dinner) that runs along the Parco Fluviale del Valentino almost to Moncalieri and back.

Adjacent to Borgata Aurora is the aforementioned Borgo Dora where every Saturday the flea market of the Balôn takes place and every second Sunday of the month the Gran Balôn antiques market takes place. Antique shops and second-hand shops, small bars with small tables and small cobblestone streets. Borgo Dora is a very characteristic area, made up of buildings dating back to the seventeenth century, the site of the first Torinese manufacturing industry, also called Balôn par excellence, since the first experiences of aerostatic flight took place here at the end of the 18th century, just 6 months later. those of the Montgolfier brothers. And in honor of this fact, a balloon has been installed for a couple of years, hosting up to 30 people, the HiFlyer, which rises up to 150 meters high, secured to the ground by a steel cable moved by an electric motor, providing a breathtaking view of Turin. In the square in front of the balloon stand the buildings of the former military arsenal (where the Scuola Holden di Baricco is now based) and the former powder magazine, now the seat of Sermig, the charitable work of Ernesto Oliviero, the Arsenal of Peace , open to public. Also in this area is the Cortile del Maglio, the area of the former arsenal where the huge hammer with the incandescent steel was placed, whose arm is still placed at the center of this courtyard surrounded by small shops. a Lebanese restaurant and a Cuban bar.

N. B. the check in after 21.30 is possible at a cost of 20 euros. Check in after midnight for € 50

Appartement agréable, bien situé

  • 4 of 5

Semplice accogliente e funzionale.

  • 5 of 5

Appartement "vintage"

  • 4 of 5

  • 5 of 5
