Bring only your clothes, toiletries and food - the cabin has everything you need, including a full kitchen, linens, and towels. We have also provided a paved parking area just for motorcycles.

The Greenbrier River, well known for fly fishing is also popular for canoeing, kayaking and tubing. We are 5 miles from The Greenbrier River Trail, popular as one of the fifty Millennium Legacy Trails. The trail is free and open only to hiking, horseback riding or non-motorized bikes.

We are 1 mile from the National Radio Astronomy Observatory at Green Bank, 5 miles from the Cass Scenic Railroad. There are approximately 8 state and national parks within easy driving distance, including Nelson Rocks which features a Via Feratta climbing system, one of a very few in the United States.

There is something for everyone in Pocahontas County - train enthusiasts, motorcyclists, bikers, hunters, fisherman and skiers and we would like to warmly invite you to come and enjoy Wild Wonderful and Beautiful West Virginia!

Wonderful cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin and area is absolutely beautiful! We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day or hiking. Just as others said about the hot tub, it also bleached my husband's swim shorts. But did not bleach mine so it could just depend on the material. There ended up being 4 chlorine tablets in the bobber so we removed it from the hot tub during our stay and placed it back at the end, that seemed to help with the odor. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cabin to others and will be returning.

We had a wonderful stay in your adorable cabin. It was perfect for us (2 couples and 2 kids). It was comfortable and well stocked. The hot tub was an added bonus with the snow on the ground! We will definitely recommend your home!

Owner's Response: We are deeply sorry over the ruined bathing suits and will be reimbursing you for the damage. We have spoken with our cleaning crew and apparently one added chemicals and someone else came behind and added them again. We have taken care of the problem by having them drain the hot tub and add fresh chemicals. We are so glad you did enjoy your stay and look forward to hearing from you in the future. Remember, warm weather is on the way and we are very convenient to hiking, biking, motorcycle riding and fishing. Thanks again Doug & Deane

Very comfy, great location

  • 5 of 5

The owners were very helpful, in getting me directions I could understand. It has easy access to the main road, close to Cass train station and Greenbank Observatory. This cabin has WIFI and TV, the hot-tub was clean and relaxing. Any questions I had were answered in a timely manner. I was able to give the owners suggestions on how to improve the property to help future guests, update their couch mattress and outdoor grill, of which i was updated that would happened. We would come back.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. We purchased that property because it is close to so many different things to do in Pocahontas County including skiing, bicycle and motorcycle riding, hiking and rock climbing. Our cleaning crew had contacted us about the shower door and we replaced it on Friday 3/16. Thanks for choosing our cabin and we look forward to hearing from you in the future. Doug & Deane Hackney
