Just perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Craggy Cottage is a beautiful pearl set in the equally lovely Fanore in the incredible Burren of the Wild Atlantic Way. We had yet again another fantastic break there with our family. Joe and Noreen make sure that everything you could wish for is in the cottage and are so welcoming. There is always a well-stocked store cupboard to start you off and a welcome pack of a little delicious something. Everything is spotless and there were even some flowers to welcome us around the property. We have a little boy and two small doggies and the cottage and place just works for everyone and anyone.Upstairs there is a lovely sitting room which just oozes serenity. Craggy cottage has views to die for and a beautiful garden and terrace on which to watch the glorious (and they really are glorious) sunsets. Because we went in May/ June all the wild flowers and foliage were in abundance and just a joy. However we have visited in March and September and there is always some beauty to behold. The beach nearby is a surfers paradise but also wonderful if you just want to paddle with the little ones or while away the hours. Fanore itself is a jewel and the locals friendly and welcoming. This is real Ireland at its best. A great nearby store and post office and a fantastic pub serving delicious food if you don’t want to venture too far. We are absolutely smitten and anyone would be we are sure. It is a very special place. Thankyou Joe and Noreen . We will be back!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Very clean and well equipped and well appointed near the beach. Great views from the upstairs lounge but a place to sit downstairs too. My dog loved the garden and I enjoyed the wild spring flowers. Sean was very helpful - meeting us at the house when we arrived and calling in when we had a problem with the heating. We really enjoyed our stay!

Ideally Located Burren Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The location of Craggy Cottage is simply stunning. With great views to the beach (200M) and the Hills of the Burren on the doorstep, it is a peaceful and serene place. The cottage is nice, but simply furnished and is very comfortable indeed. The upstairs lounge gives great views over the sea and the sunsets are stunning! Within easy reach of most things in this area, we found the location ideal. You get used to the fact that the ATM is 15 miles away! The kitchen was well equipped and needed nothing else in it. My only criticism is that some of it is looking tired. The shower had mould in it and could do with a deep clean. A couple of fixtures are hanging off the wall. The TV cable was faulty and we had to tape it up to make it work. It even had a VHS player still attached! These are minor points, but could turn a great place into a stunning place

Spectacular location, brilliant house.

  • 5 of 5

This place is brilliant, a perfect location for walking, cycling and wild swimming. Fanore beach is stunning and this is the closest house to it. A good kitchen if you want to cokk but the local pubs and restaurants are really good. Plenty of live music in Doolin.

Amazing Cottage, Specatacular Views, Wonderful Locals

  • 5 of 5

Cottage and the owner Joe were great. The local pub has trad music, friendly staff and great pub food only a very short drive down the road. The fish and tackle shop is great. Rent a pole and go out and fish for Mackerel and Pollock. Having a full Kitchen is fantastic when on holiday and can't beat being able to fry up fresh fish. The upstairs living room is the best part of the house with views of the ocean and beautiful coastline. We were able to easily get to Doolin for Ferry to Aran Islands, hike of the cliffs of Moher, hike Croagh Patrick, and tour Connemara all from this location with ease. Don't miss out on this place!
