There is a reason why Santa Barbara is known as "The American Riviera"

About Joan & Julien
We're Joan and Julien and we spend our winters in California and Colorado, and our summers in Canada. We travel a lot and we enjoy good food, great wine and meeting interesting people. Apart from the climate and gorgeous architecture in Santa Barbara, we love that the Santa Ynez Valley is only a half hour away with its world-class pinot noir.
Joan & Julien purchased this House in 2013
Why Joan & Julien chose Riviera
Our home was built in 1930 by architect/builder Alex d'Alfonso who specialized in tiny perfect Spanish Colonial Revival homes that are highly coveted by Santa Barbarans. We are only the third owners of this authentic jewel of a property. On our first visit to Santa Barbara in 1995, we stayed at El Encanto Hotel and were mesmerized by the views from the Riviera. Many years later when we started looking for a home in Santa Barbara we always preferred this location and felt so fortunate that our historic Riviera home became available.
What makes this House unique
Our home's location provides breathtaking views over Santa Barbara's downtown, harbour, the Channel Islands, and the Pacific Ocean.
