This elegant villa is situated in a peaceful area of Estepona overlooking the sea. It oozes tradition in design and interior decoration, and it is presented in immaculate condition having recently been redecorated.
The house enjoys stunning sea and countryside views from an elevated position in the peaceful area of Puerto Romano, a couple of minutes drive from trendy Laguna Village beach resort and Estepona town.
The villa is particularly spacious:
On ground floor level: a generously appointed living room with wood stove, dining area, sitting area, TV area and study, modern fully equipped kitchen with Smeg, Miele and Siemens appliances and utility room with two washing machines. In addition, there are two bedrooms (one double and one twin) with a family bathroom, guest cloakroom and multiple sunny terraces with optional shading.
First floor: hall and master bedroom (king size) with en suite, lounge area and a further terrace with spectacular views.
Semi basement: optional own access, three bedrooms (two twin and one double) with two family bathrooms, guest cloakroom and a game and DVD library.
Air conditioning, and oil central heating features throughout as well as oil under floor heating in the semi basement.
Mature landscaped garden with tropical plants and fruit trees, a 12m swimming pool fenced to ensure child safety.
Plenty of games provided and activities for children.
A private carport offers space for two cars and street parking is also available.
Thank you for looking at our home! We - Erik and Sarah - spent many months searching for our perfect future family home - an idyllic country house in peaceful surroundings which was still highly accessible from the airport, the beach, shops and restaurants. Villa Passiflora met all our requirements and whilst we presently can't spend much time here, owing to work commitments in Africa, we would love to share our home with like minded people. Since we have a young daughter Yasmin, baby son Max and many friends with children, we have given thought to what families need from a holiday house. At the same time, we love to cook and entertain so hope we have set up the house in such a way to maximise the various entertainment areas and prepare all sorts of feasts. We hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do.
Sarah van der Veen purchased this villa in 2014
We like to think our villa suits everyone's taste in terms of the facilities provided, accessibility and decor: whether it be a family or several families, groups of keen riders or golfers or sun / sand and cocktail worshippers…we spend a little time here when we can along with our friends and family so hope you will find the house well equipped.
Plenty of sleeping and entertaining space and a carefully executed balance between contemporary design and traditional Spanish charm. A large pool (12x6) and only a few minutes up the road from trendy Laguna Village.
"Some fantastic memories were made, from breakfast & lunches in the sun above the pool area to picking fresh grapes from the vines, but the pictures of us all in the seating area by the BBQ will be the lasting image for many years to come. It really is a fantastic place to stay"
"As I organised our group stay my GF and I were told to take the master suite and I can honestly say I have never experienced a setting like it. The room is fantastic in itself but perhaps the balcony more so. We celebrated a good friend's wedding early in the week and to have Villa Passiflora as our base made it a truly special week for all of us"
In selecting a property for a total of 12 family members we looked at many properties, read many reviews and viewed many photos before making our final choice. Villa Passiflora satisfied all of our requirements and we can say straight away that we were not at all disappointed during our stay. The villa was wonderful. In fact, everyone loved the place as it has everything that was needed to satisfy all, even though the ages of the family members ranged from 1 to 73!
The villa is spacious to say the least, both inside and out. It meant that, even though there were 12 of us, there was plenty of space and no one got in the way of anyone else (if you wanted to be on your own, you could easily be). The vast main living room is split into a number of individual areas which is ideal and very well thought out. Although during our stay, given the sunshine, the pool and nearby Estepona, we spent little time using this facility. However, one or two of the party were very happy spending their time there reading and looking after the youngest member of our group. The kitchen is also kitted out very well and has the space and equipment to make cooking dinner for the entire family easy, which we invariably ate on the terrace during the lovely evenings.
One of the best features of the villa is the master bedroom, which is huge. It has its own terrace and has spectacular views of the coastline and surrounding area. All in all, the villa is exceptional.
The ‘acid’ test is, for someone reading this review, is to ask would we would visit the villa again? The answer to this is an unequivocal YES!
Finally, we would like to thank Sarah & Erik for all their help, assistance and suggestions before we arrived at their wonderful villa.
We stayed in this magnificent villa during two weeks in September/October 2015. It really is a fantastic place, close to the beach and beautiful villages (we recommend having breakfast or tapas at Vitin at the Pl. de las Flores in the historic center of Estepona, and also visiting Benahavis, which is a picturesque mountain village nearby).
Firstly: it's very spacey. Because the bedrooms are spread over three floors there is a lot of privacy, even when visiting with a couple of families (which we did in our first week). During our stay, the weather was perfect so we made good use of the many terraces and outside lounging space. The kitchen is large (very large actually, by European standards) and well equipped and there's also an outside grill which is very easy to use.
If the weather would have been less pleasant, we'd probably have made good use of the many books and dvd's - the living room is huge and comfortable and has a beautiful view of the sea (which by the way is also visible from the second floor terrace/master bedroom/bathroom).
In short: we loved it.
Villa was excellent & met expectations of size & amenities as described. Pool was fantastic & kids just loved it. Well maintained property and spacious rooms all round. A little off the beaten track so car a necessity but bars/restaurants a very short hop away < 4 min drive. Estepona town 5 km away & highly recommended town, very family friendly. Will be back.
I booked a long weekend at the end of February with friends at this wonderful Villa in Estepona. It appealed for it's excellent location, only 45 minutes from Malaga or Gibraltar and for the vast amounts of space it had to offer. We weren't disappointed at all, the villa itself is lovely, in traditional Spanish style and surrounded by fruit trees and well kept gardens. It is huge, there are 6 large bedrooms, an enormous living room and plenty of places to relax outside. The kitchen was extremely well appointed (there seemed to be double of everything, including ovens and fridges!) which meant we could comfortably feed the small army of people who were staying. We did most of our eating and drinking at the villa but made the short drive into Estepona on one evening to enjoy some tapas/pinchos and local wine in a beautiful orange tree-lined square in the old part of the town. We were treated to some unexpectedly good weather for February (the thermometer hit 28C!) and managed to get some use out of the sun loungers by the pool which was has sea views. Already planning our next trip, the next time maybe a bit later in the season when the trees are fruitful. All in all an excellent choice.
Thank you for an amazing break in your lovely villa. Such a beautiful place and fully equipped with everything we needed from games and children’s toys, DVDs, wifi to all the essentials in top condition and almost new. Everything was spotlessly clean and the rooms were simply and tastefully decorated. Everything we needed for the adults and our friend's baby was easy to find and the villa is very well equipped for dining in with plenty of fridge space.
The villa is perfectly located - high enough into the hills to feel secluded and quiet, but just a short drive to the supermarket as well as local bars and restaurants when you’re looking for a livelier atmosphere. The villa has some stunning views of the sea and the surrounding hills. We stayed in the top room and watching the sunset from our private veranda was quite spectacular. Sarah provided some great recommendations for restaurants in the local towns and was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions. We were quite surprised by the range of places to eat from lovely traditional restaurants to chic modern places on the beach like Camuri.
The villa is setup with various different wings so it feels very spacious – even with a large group – so you can be as together as you want or enjoy your own space. Staying in late February we didn’t expect to make much use of the pool, but it really was warm enough to sunbathe and we even needed a brief dip in the pool to cool off. We will certainly be coming back and would highly recommend it.
This year we’ve decided to spend our New Years Eve in Estepona, Spain. I’ve already visited the area several years ago, but for my husband (30 years old) and my little girl (1 year old) it was the first time.
We had a marvelous 5 day stay in the spacious and lovely Passiflora Villa. It was perfect for us and our little one. She had so much space to toddle around! In the living room there were even some toys, that she could play with. Much more interesting than all the toys that we brought along!
The house has a lot of different common spaces: inside, one big living room and spacious kitchen and outside, several terraces all around the house. We could even have brunch outside in December! We enjoyed the kitchen, it is really well equipped and has several herbs and basic ingredients to cook with. The hole house was really charming and proper. Because we had our little girl with us we stayed in some nights but made good use of the extensive DVD and games library.
Since we were only the three of us, we all stayed in the master bedroom. For our little girl a travel bed was standing next to ours. Even with the additional bed, the room was still very spacious. Our bed was really comfortable and would have even been big enough for the three of us. Our room had its own bathroom with shower and bathtub. The shower is even comfortable for tall people (my husband is 1.95 m tall). Although there was only the three of us, we peeped into all the other bedrooms and bathrooms and they were all really lovely and spacious too.
In the neighborhood there are some restaurants reachable by car, but our favorite one, was the a fish restaurant, that was recommended by the owners of the house. I’m really sorry but I can’t remember the name. By the way, the owners wrote an amazing booklet about the house and the surroundings, so if there are any doubts on how to move around in the house or neighborhoods, just grab the book and probably you will find the answer. It was really helpful!
Since our daughter is still quite young and our stay was quite short, we only did little trips in the surrounding areas, but it is a great area and there is a lot to discover. We will definitely come back to see more of it and we will certainly stay in Villa Passiflora again!
The villa is a 5 minute drive from Laguna Village with its stunning beach and trendy restaurants and beach bar.
The villa is poised on the hillside providing stunning sea and mountain views. Highly accessible yet serene and peaceful. Situated a 5 minute walk from horse riding schools notable the Costa del Sol Riding School as well as Estepona Paintball, Estepona Tennis Club and Forest Hills.
Petrol station, supermarket and beach / restaurant facilities at Laguna are at 2 kilometers distance. We recommend having a car to get around.
Estepona town is a ten-minute drive west and Puerto Banus and Marbella are 25 minutes to the east along the coast.
