About the property

Family house - 6 bedrooms & 7 bathrooms - heated pool - pétanque court

The word Mas means "country home or farmhouse" in Provençal French. This beautiful old farmhouse

has been recently remodeled with the idea of creating the perfect place for a family retreat or for a gathering of friends wanting to spend time together in the South of France.

The house can accommodate up to 14 people. In the main house, there are 3 double rooms and a children's dormitory upstairs. Each room has an en-suite bathroom. On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom/bathroom with a private terrace. The annex is not connected to the main house, but only a few steps away in the central courtyard. It has a large bedroom with 2 double beds and an en-suite bathroom.

There is a sunny pool, with plenty of lounge chairs, some shady areas plus a charming summer kitchen and dining area for poolside lunch or snacks. The pool is heated from May-September. The spacious grounds have lots of places where friends and family can find amusement. Strolling around the property, you will find a swing for children, and lots of space to run and play. For adults, there is a shady spot with a hammock, which is perfect for reading or napping. The lighted pétanque/boules court is close to the house for before or after dinner tournaments.

Inside the house, the well appointed kitchen is centered between the dining room and living room. Historically, a mas has a broad porch decked with vines on the south wall. This is to protect the entrance and provide summer shade. Our house has the perfect porch that you will surely use to relax whenever you can. Whether you are preparing a meal, having a conversation, reading or just relaxing, you will find that every detail has been carefully thought out so that the house feels like home when you first arrive.

The price includes bed linens, bath and pool towels, and cleaning at the end of the stay. At additional cost, you can arrange for a mid-stay cleaning. Contact us about private chefs, cooking lessons, wine tours, etc.

Beautiful house in a very nice region

We booked a week in this fantastic Mas for 3 families with children from 1 to 7 years old.

The facilities were very nice with plenty of space and equiped with everything you need

We spent a lot of time at the pool area. This area had a small kitchen, shower, toilet, resting area , etc. Just fantastic

The host , Cristophe and Dominque were very helpful all the time. Thank you very much

a fabulous holiday house

our family group of 12 had a wonderful holiday here in May 2018. The house was superbly refurbished, furnished and kitted out. The pool and the garden were beautiful and we were looked after exceedingly well by Dominique and Christophe.

Maison agréable/ parfaite pour une grande famille

J'ai passe 10 jours formidable avec ma famille Américaine. On était une couple avec deux petits enfants (de 5 et 8 ans), mes parents, et des amis françaises. On était tres bien dans cette grande maison avec tous qu'il faut- cuisine bien équipée, des lits confortables, piscine pour échapper la chaleur d'été. La maison était charmante dans un paysage magnifique. Je rêve de revenir un jour pour revivre mes jours de vacances ici.

Since the Mas, there are many things to do! Visit of the 11th century chapel at the top of the village, paths for dozens for walks, there is a free communal tennis court 5 minutes walk, the rock climbing Capelle 5 minutes walk to do rock climbing or giant hide-and-seek! You can also walk near the pond or you will observe many birds and bulls camarguais or fishing n subscribing to a map for the day.

Many tourist and historical sites to visit nearby: Duchy of Uzes, Pont du Gard, Nîmes with its bullring and its Maison Carré, Avignon and its Palais des Papes, Arles and its Arena, the Camargue and its horses, Haribo factory , Gorges du Gardon and Ardeche, Anduze Bamboo and its small steam train, the national stud of Uzès ... Going a little further you can explore the Cevennes and its many villages or even go to the other side of the Rhone, in Provence, to visit the Baux de Provence or Saint Rémy de Provence.

An exceptional traditional market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday in Uzès on the place with herbs. You will find what is best in the region: fruits, vegetables, goat cheeses, wines and local Mediterranean products.

During the summer, you can visit the night markets of Uzès and surrounding villages. There are also music festivals at Pont du Gard, Blauzac (Jazz) and Uzès, among others. Village festivals are held every weekend in the area with bullfighting events.

For art lovers, the small streets of Uzès are full of galleries of contemporary or classic art.

For lovers of gastronomy and wine, you will be seduced! You are in the heart of the Country Wines of the Duchy of Uzès and Cévennes Country Wines. Great appellations such as Chateauneuf du Pape or Vacqueyras are within driving distance for a nice day of sightseeing. The Uzès wine fair takes place every year on the 2nd weekend of August; the wines of the region are honored.

During the winter, the truffle weekend, on the 3rd weekend of January, will offer demonstrations of truffles, tastings, food and wine pairings, a great dinner prepared by the starred chefs of the region. . On this occasion it will be possible to rent the apartment for the weekend.
