Enjoy A Relaxing Stay In An Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Long Paddock is a light and airy bungalow providing very light, practical and spacious accommodation at ground floor level. It is situated in the quiet hamlet of Gutch Common and looks out onto it's own garden, woodland and the hills to Wardour Castle. The village of Semley is a 15 minute walk downhill and has a village shop and cafe, pub, church and school.

The accommodation, all ground floor, comprises

Entrance hallway with coat hooks etc, a further hallway to large sitting room with wood burner, kitchen with Aga and dining room, conservatory, one double bedroom, one twin and one single bedroom, bathroom with bath, separate shower, basin, WC and a separate WC.

The kitchen has an Aga, a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave.

There is a colour TV with Free view, wifi DVDs Radio.

Outside there is a private outdoor seating area with garden furniture and beautiful views over the countryside.

There is a large lawned garden and also an adjoining tennis court which can be used by arrangement. The bungalow shares the garden with the owners' cottage a short distance away.

Lovely break at Long Paddock

My husband and I stayed 4 nights in this lovely bungalow overlooking rolling hills and forests. The house is clean and comfortable with plenty of space to relax and has an amazing collection of books. The garden is beautiful and there is a tennis court. We'd definitely love to return. Shaftesbury is a short drive away. Pene is a lovely, welcoming host. Highly recommended

Very comfortable

The house is well appointed with a lovely garden. It is ideal for dog owners. Some of the appliances are a little dated although alll in working order. The AGA cooker was surprisingly easy to use. Pene was always on hand and resolved any issues rapidly. We would certainly rebook.

Great Bungalow for relaxation and exploration

We have nothing bad to say about this place. Penelope (owner) had baked cake for our arrival :-). The house is comfortable, spacious, warm, clean and you feel like it is a home. We would have liked to have stayed longer as there are always more things to see and do here in South-West! So Thank you :-D!

Wunderschöner Garten um ein in die Jahre gekommenes Cottage mit echtem Charme & Tennisplatz

Ich habe mich gleich in das gemütliche Cottage mit dem Miss Marple Charme verliebt.

Als dann am nächsten Morgen die Sonne schien und wir im Garten gefrühstückt haben, waren auch alle anderen restlos überzeugt.

"Irgendwo im Nirgendwo" und doch so gut gelegen für schöne Ausflüge und Wanderungen haben wir uns richtig gut erholt und viel erlebt.

Der Tennisplatz stand uns jedereit zur Verfügung und auch den Grill haben wir genutzt. Der in modernen Zeiten eigentümlich anmutende AGA-Ofen macht die Küche zu jeder Zeit behaglich warm und es lässt sich sehr unkompliziert damit kochen & backen. Auch die Küchenausstattung war sehr umfangreich, Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine kamen ebenfalls zum Einsatz.

Kein 4*-Ferienhaus aber superschön aufgeteilt und optimal für eine 4-köpfige Familie. Pene & John sind hilfsbereite aber dezente Gastgeber.

Dejligt lyst med god plads, rent og pænt.

Dejligt lyst og rummeligt hus, med skøn have og tennisbane som vi brugte en del. Pænt og rent. God mulighed for at besøge kystbyer som Lyme Regis, men også byer som Oxford, Bath og Lacock. Det ligger tæt på Salisbury med den flotte Katedral og Stone Henge. Glem ikke at besøge Old Wardour Castle og High Clere Castle (hvis man er til Downton Abbey) . Huset kan absolut anbefales.
