What makes this house unique

The Maidenhead house accommodates contractors, families and groups of up to 5 persons. The location is central with a 15 minute walk to the train station (for London) and within 2 hour drives for side trips to many English towns.

Windsor and Legoland are nearby.

There is a convenient small grocery store on the corner of the block with reasonable prices.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The house is well placed within walking distance of a pub which is nice for dinner and a small supermarket. It is easy to travel from here to Windsor castle with car at least and some other nice towns. It is an older style house which is quite cosy, quaint and well equipped. The bedrooms are very comfortable and slept 6 of us easily. Great place to stay.

Not a great stay.

  • 2 of 5

House was clean, but washing machine did not work and TV did not work.

Bed comfy, but not plush. It was an OK stay, but would not rent the house again, very basic.

It was a perfect place to stay for our trip!

  • 4 of 5

The property was perfectly located in a neighborhood close to stores ( small convenience shop 50 ft away) and only a 10-15 min walk to the train and shopping. It fit 5 guys perfectly for 3 nights with everyone in their own beds....1 was a pullout. The property appeared to have been used and quickly cleaned just prior to our arrival but it met our standards still. The WiFi was great and we didn't use the TV. Great food nearby too for all dining types. We walked everywhere unless leaving town for day trips. No issues with neighbors or anyone and the evenings were quiet. Owner was quick to respond to messages and checked in with me after arrival. Security deposit was returned quickly too via PayPal or a UK bank account. The place had kitchen supplies to use for cooking and a grill that we didn't use. Washer for clothes and a line outside for drying as well as a fridge and freezer. Showers were ok once we figured out how to use them and plenty of extra towels, blankets, sheets, etc. Misc little things were easily purchased at the shop on the corner which was open from 7-8 each day. I will look to book again next year when we go back to the area for another guys trip.
