Casa Isobel is a lovely, bright apartment on two floors in the historic, Moorish 'white' Village of Mojacar which overlooks the Mojacar Playa coastline. The apartment is perfectly situated to afford panoramic views of the both the sea and back over the village and the surrounding mountains. It is one of only two houses in a leafy secluded pathway with its own a gated entrance . It is the very heart of the the village within a few hundred metres of the picturesque plazas with their lively bars and restaurants.
Casa Isobel is set over 2 floors with a large comfortable living area and two bedrooms. The living area includes a dining area and kitchen, equipped with fridge, cooker, microwave and various other utilities. The main bedroom sleeps three with a double bed and a day bed. The second bedroom has two single beds. There is a downstairs bathroom with bath and shower and an upstairs cloakroom.
The large pretty terrace is accessed directly from the lounge (not the case in many other village properties), making it perfect for outdoor dining and general relaxation. Casa Isabel is a typically rustic Pueblo apartment, simply furnished with a mix of traditional and modern. The downstairs bedrooms are cool even in mid-summer. Fans and heaters are provided when necessary.
Mojacar village is just a 5-minute drive or 20-minute walk from the sea and the long stretch of golden beach. A local bus runs twice an hour from the village to the coast. The relaxed charm of the village and the more bustling seafront lifestyle can be enjoyed in equal measure. There is a small convenience store just minutes from the house, while elsewhere in the village you will find numerous gift shops as well as a hardware store and chemist.
Emergency assistance is available and a pick-up from Almeria, Murcia or Alicante Airports can be arranged. Car hire, however, is recommended. The stunning unspoilt beaches of Cabo de Gata and its various National parks are only a short drive away. The magnificent Moorish city of Granada is a manageable day trip.
Mojacar enjoys various festivals and fiestas and activities for both adults and children are abundant. You can enjoy swimming, walking and cycling or if you prefer pure relaxation and quiet evenings on the terrace or strolling around the village.
Please note that we do not accept bookings from large groups of young male or female travellers.
We visit Mojacar since 30 years and ervery time we rent a house or an apartment in the village. This one of Chris is the best we have ever had .When it is hot outside , the apartment is fresh and windy . You have a great view over the sea ,to the mountains and you can see the old village too. The house is very clean and has high-class furniture. From there you can go by bus or by feet to the beaches. We love to go by feet through the "campo" to the Tito beach bar. That`s the best beach Mojacar has. Surely we come back again .
The Apartment is down a quiet back street and the stirs leading to it are considerable so it's not for the mobility impaired ! It's a pleasant & well kept apartment on two floors with the entrance door leading straight into the lounge/kitchenette areas (well stocked with self catering essentials too) and a door leading to a balcony with a breathtaking view of the Mojacar Pueblo & vista towards the sea - Great place to enjoy breakfast !
Stairs from the lounge (complete with child gate that can be used) lead downwards to two good sized bedrooms, on large double (i'm 6'4" & had no problem) & a separate second bedroom with two single beds and a small bath/shower room & WC separating the two.
When we went it was 32 degs but the bedrooms appeared cool as the building is surrounded on all sides. The doors are a little shorter than the UK standard but unless you're over 6'3", only then do you need to be careful.
It's well located, pleasantly decorated & furnished and good value for money. Not the full 5 stars as the stairs are a consideration and not for the elderly or infirm. That said, I feel i'm being a little picky really. In reality, go for it, it's tasteful, quirky & the views are spectacular !
Espero volver pronto!
