We are happy that we found this charming house full of peace and beauty: the sea right outside the terrace, you can swim at any time, stone walls create a cool, and awning on the terrace protected from the sun.
The township Nopigia is very quiet, you never see crowds of tourists. Near several taverns, where on Friday evenings there is live music. One of the most vivid impressions is amazingly beautiful sunset, which you can see on the terrace in the every evening.
The hostess (whole hearted hello to Ria) takes care of the guests as family members. She can inform you about all the exciting events in the area, and just ready to help with any questions. And when our child was ill, Ria every day asking about his health, and offered to help her doctor, prepared dinner for our boy and very worried until the temperature has subsided.
We will keep the best memories of this holiday, and we hope that will definitely return to this charming home. Ria, thank you for a wonderful holiday!
We have just returned from a fabulous week during September in Villa Votsalo , Nopigia and already wish we were still there. It would be difficult to find a better luxury beach-side villa. Pictures never do a property justice and we were delighted at the quality of the villa, the furnishings etc but the most impressive feature is the amazing position. The old mantra of location, location, location is particularly true with this villa. Sitting as it does right on the beach, we were able to forget about our car and just enjoy the sun, the beach and the sea direct from the villa. The beach itself is a mixture of sand and stones, and there was a band of pebbles for the first 3 metres into the water, then smooth golden sand. Fortunately we had beach shoes with us. The biggest decision of the day was which of the two local tavernas would we visit that night - each only a short stroll away. Our host, Ria, was extremely friendly and helpful and we were delighted with the little local gifts she provided for us - Thank you Ria.
This was our second visit to this beautiful villa on the beach, which we found had lost none of it's charm. To be honest we found it very hard to leave the terrace and go anywhere else as you can sit and look out all day and evening. Situated in a charming village with 3 tavernas within walking distance and a small shop as well as the local baker delivering door to door every morning. Our hosts Ria and Eftixis are charming and around the corner to offer any advice on trips as well as arranging the rental cars to be picked up at the airport. The house is cleaned during your stay so remain as clean as the day you arrive. We love this place so much we are returning next year.
First of all we would like to thank you Ria, Ria is very friendly and charming host, her hospitality and kindness make our stay very enjoyable. This vacation home is like hidden gem. The stunning sunset over the terrace is unforgettable! the quite beach in front of the house is like swimming pool for our 3 kids.Ria arranged the clean-up every 3 days, so we had fresh towels, sheets and whole house was cleaned every 3 days.
The lovely host Ria, the house, the beach, the peacefull location, the view, the surrounding, all in all makes it difficult to leave :(
We highly recommend this beautiful house for people who look for peaceful beach vacation!
Ria thank you very much! we will definitely come back again!
My Husband and one year old daughter visited Crete and stayed at the Villa for 3 weeks. It was the perfect place for us and our daughter and just steps away from the beach off our back balcony. The water was crystal clear and a bit cool; the beach was a mix of sand and round rocks and very lovely on a sunset evening. The beautiful stone house was equipped with everything needed for doing our own home cooking, which we did a lot of, often with great advice from Ria!! Our daughter took her first steps on the front patio and practiced walking around in circles on the lawn in front of the Villa.
We couldn’t have hoped for better hosts, Ria and her family were just wonderful and we really enjoyed meeting them. When we first arrived we were welcomed with their own home made olive oil and raki. Also, bread and other foods were supplied to get us going upon our arrival. Ria also provided us with a much needed highchair and crib for our daughter. We were also introduced to the “Breadman” who was a most wonderful person and who delivered fresh baked bread and pastries every morning, 6 days out of 7. These goodies were absolutely delicious and we looked forward every morning to the “Breadman’s” delivery.
The town of Kasteli, was really friendly and a wonderful place to get everything that we needed. It was only abut a 5 minute drive from the Villa where we could find great meat markets and butchers, fish markets, and super markets with excellent local produce, cheeses, wine and olive oil.
The Flisvos Villa is a super place to go for a holiday and we would highly recommend this as a vacation destination. Thank you again Ria and family for a wonderful stay!!
We loved our stay at this beautiful little hideaway. Just a couple of miles from the village of Kissamos the location was ideal. Beautiful long beach perfect for nice morning walks. Every morning the bread van honked outside our door and offered wonderful baked goods still warm. The owners are right across the street and very helpful with anything you need. The house is quiet, very clean and the view is world class. We plan to return as soon as we can.Enjoy!!
Flisvos is located in Nopigia, a beautiful seaside village on Kissamos bay, just 5 km east of Kastelli, the province's capital, and 30 km west of Chania, the prefecture's capital.
Ideally built on the beach front, Flisvos is part of Raisaki's fatherly residence which was founded in 1900 and recently renovated.
If you feel the need to truly relax and rest and wish to get to know - or renew your past experience - with the Cretan scenery, and its joys (people, cuisine, way of life) then your choice for summer or winter holidays will drive you to our wonderful lands. Flisvos and its hospitable owners, Ria and Eftihis, will be more than glad to meet you.
